These is a picture history of the FCT election results from 2011.

All declared candidates won 25% of the FCT as shown . Even the runner up won too.

Some of you are just shopping for victory through every means possible. It is you that would say the election was rigged and should be cancelled. At the same time, you will be the one to say 25% is required in FCT to declare a winner. To make the argument for 25% in FCT, at least, you must first accept the results of the election.

According to what I read on Dailytrust, he doesn't need Abuja. The constitution states 2/3 of 36 states + FCT. The interpretation I read was that you need 2/3 in 25 states, and not necessarily 2/3 in 24 states + FCT. In this regard, FCT is considered a state. In any case, he is not doing too poorly based on results obtained so far in FCT.

I don't think he needs FCT. There are only 2 states in the North where APC is not guaranteed of 25%: Plateau and Taraba. APC is fine in other 17 Northern states. APC has more than 25% in Akwa Ibom, and he did well in 6 Southwestern states. He's likely to get 25% in Rivers and Bayelsa too.

Atiku really performed poorly in this election. He could not even get 25% in Edo. I'm happy. Atiku is a very proud politician.

Atiku might win more states but Tinubu will win the election. You guys are focusing on the states won, you are not looking at the margin. In Kano, Tinubu is leading Atiku by 377K, even though he's second to Kwakwanso there. That 377k alone is enough to counter Atiku's victory in Katsina, Gombe and possibly Bauchi. Some of you seem to be poor with math.

Some of you are too emotional in your analysis. Yes, NNPP is doing well in Kano. Have you bothered to compare APC votes with PDP's in Kano. APC is consistently second to NNPP but significantly doing better than PDP by around ratio 10:1. Go check! NNPP is not really a threat to APC. PDP is the only threat to APC in this election.

The result of one local government in Kano will take care of the 7,000 deficit in Katsina. The KKKs have reduced to a K now. Let's see what happens in Kaduna.

When the Northern Christians were being killed by herdsmen, you didn't write this long epistle. Don't worry, Obi's performances in those areas will help in demystifying the Northern dominance in Nigerian politics.

Power of incumbency? Sokoto is being governed by PDP. Your point of view is the reason why the North is cheating the South. You want to make a Northerner a president with Southern votes. If Atiku was worth the ticket, he should have done better in the North. Buhari got a lot of votes in the North and added fewer votes from the South. If the bulk of the votes would be coming from the South, let a Southerner be the presidential candidate.

You are not making any sense at all. Your perspective would have made sense if Obi was performing very poorly but taking away crucial votes from Atiku. In the current situation, Atiku is not doing excellent in the North. Obi is getting bulk votes from many local governments in Adamawa where Atiku is from.

I want to believe the reason PDP gave Atiku their ticket to the chagrin of the G-5 was because they thought Atiku would deliver the North massively. However, that's not currently the case.
