TundeBricklayer: Tricycle ambulances are deploy to primary health centers in communities, that's hard to reach by conventional ambulances, even WHO applauded the initiative
Even UCH Ibadan is using Keke Ambulances
UCH Ibadan Gets 2 Ambulances For Geriatric Centre
Prof. Temitope Alonge, Chief Medical Director (CMD), University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Monday inaugurated two new wheel-chair ambulances for use at the Tony Anenih Geriatric Centre, in the hospital.
Inaugurating the ambulances, Alonge said that they would go a long way in complementing care of the aged at the geriatric centre.
“These two ambulances would complement the two tricycles which had been in used in commuting patients from the centre to and from the main gate to ease their transportation.
“They would also be used to pick up patients whose wards could not afford to bring their parents to the clinic at UCH at designated pick-up points in Ibadan,” he said.
The CMD further said that each ambulance, which costs N10 million, has capacity to seat 16 and 10 patients, respectively.
He said both ambulances have hydrolic facilities to lift patients in wheel chairs from the ground into the vehicle.
Alonge was full of appreciation to the donor, Chief Tony Anenih, whom he described as an ‘addicted giver’. https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2018/01/23/uch-ibadan-gets-2-ambula Useless bigot trying to justify mediocrity. When did Ondo become a standard for Anambra. Imagine carrying your billionaires with keke napep to hospitals. |

Kfed4ril: Oga is like you have never been to Abuja, you just here it, how the Bleep to you add wuse II to that list. Do you know what kind of fuckery that is. What is special about Abuja? It's like you don't know Ibadan. Ibadan has many of the nice structures you see in Abuja. At least, there is hardly any corner I don't know in both places as I have lived there. The only difference is that the developed part of Abuja is far larger than Ibadan. Don't buy into the lies some tribalists are peddling about Ibadan here. |

Look at the pictures of the wives of Yar'Adua and Buhari. Their heads were not covered. I saw an old picture of Sanusi's first wife also when they were still dating and her's was not covered too. Those happened before the encroachment of political Islam in Nigeria. This new wave started around just 25 years ago. It was the case in many countries in the Middle East too. With this new wave, radicalism rose and is rising. Muslims started becoming more withdrawn from non-Muslims. Just thinking aloud though |

Travel › Re: Abuja Light Rail Ready For Inauguration by DoTheNeedful: 4:16pm On Apr 10, 2018 |
LordAdam16: Possibly.
But the money had already been provided since 2012.
"The federal government had taken a $1.1 billion facility from China Exim Bank in 2012, $500 million of which was earmarked for the Abuja Light Rail project which was at 25 percent completion at the time. The facility was obtained on a 2.5 percent interest over 20 years with a grace period of seven years. SURE-P also provided N20 billion counterpart funding for the project."
The contractor CECC had already been on the project since the groundbreaking was done by Obasanjo in 2007. Unfortunately, the global financial crisis and oil price slump of 2008/2009 meant that by 2010, the project had only reached 20% completion.
So the Buhari administration spent nada on this project. Any money spent was for administrative costs (inspections and the likes). Their only contribution has been resolving the myriads of bureaucratic challenges that plague the project. This is a project that has been on auto-pilot.
The rail project I'd applaud the Buhari administration for is securing funding and awarding the contract for the Lagos-Calabar rail project. It wouldn't even near completion until the 2020's but the die has been cast and barring any major disruptions it would continue on auto-pilot regardless of what administration enters in 2019.
-Lord Okay, but what if the current govt cancel the project? I am not trying to be partisan but we should not encourage unhealthy rivalry. |

It is their curse and the recognition their reward. op is not talking about bad marriage here. You can open another thread about that. @topic, Fathers are usually underappreciated. However, I think this goes to show that money is not everything. There are some psychological and emotional needs mothers provide for their children better than fathers that money can't buy. |

The level of corruption is the reason why Dangote has thrived!!! He is one of the beneficiaries of corruption. What about other beneficiaries of corruption according to you. How much of investments do they have. The drivers of all the industrialized nations are people like Dangote. The billionaires drive every economy in the world. If those you call beneficiaries are can invest heavily, Nigeria will be far better today. Although I feel you are just a hater. |

By the way, I am not encouraging promiscuity, I just feel the school should not rob the students of their young adulthood. |
