Whenever the South East talks about the need to create a state or two in the East to sort the injustice in this area , since the other regions have more, they're quickly reminded of how there are no resources to carter for already existing ones. All of a sudden, chronic state looters will start vomiting all sorts of crafty reasons to make the case for more states look out of place and greedy.

But if you ask the same people arguing against more states because of meager resources to remove one state each from their zones together with some local governments too, so we can "cut down on government expenses", they will all disappear! They don't want to hear that! Vehemently, they refuse... Essentially, they want to keep their states and Local governments, while preaching to the East to have less. Cunning much?

This is how 2 states in the North,(Kano and Katsina) ended up having almost the same amount of Local Governments with the whole South East... Kano municipal alone has almost the same amount of LGAs with Bayelsa state!

It's ethically wrong to arrest a person in a place of worship, unless the person is increasingly becoming violent and of greater immediate danger to the community, if a quick action is not taken. Otherwise, what should be done is to wait for him outside the church and pick him up! Especially if such a character is well established and ddo bound to respect the police invitation. Normally this is the template world over. Even in not so religious societies. What happened at Imo State is highly despicable and shouldn't be skillfully excused . It's a must than you biuld skyscrapers in a place like Lagos. It's a must that you biuld underground metros in a place like Lagos or Abuja or Onitsha or Port Harcourt. These places have huge population that move every morning and you can't have everywhere full of concrete as mess up everywhere with ugly looking bungalows. What you do is to designate some areas for housing and other areas as green and leisure areas.

China started building skyscrapers because of their huge population density. We have similar situation here in terms of population. You build huge houses to keep the exploding population comfortable. It's also good for security as it's easier to monitor. A place like Lagos has a population bigger than the whole people of Sweden , Norway and Singapore put together!! You need a fast subway to move folks from say the mainland to the island and not building endless bridges as you deface te environment.

Don't know why you Nigerians are so wired to have little ambitions..

I laugh at Nigerians when they mock China. If you follow news item from Nigeria, you will think that China is secluded and backward entity. But china is a very stunning country. Very very beautiful. Stunning structures! Go to Shenzhen.., Dalian, Ningbo, Yiwu, Wuhan, Chongqing... These guys build big, build to awe and shock! The skycrappers are endless. If you have lived in a neighborhood in a city in China and left for a year. If you come back , you would struggle to locate your former abode.. Shenzhen was built new, ditto Ningbo. The Tinhe district of Guangzhou was built over the last few years. They're building something everyday. And that's where the main difference between China and such basket cases like Nigeria lies. We build nothing. Even if it's one big structure a month, a year.. We build nothing. Just some funny looking bungalows we call estates.. Even the westerners that live in China are always stunned beyond words with what the Chinese have achieved.
