GRIMMJOE: Western wokeness have finished this one brain, patapata.
There's is no point in history women were better than men in combat.
What women are better at is cooking and taking care of children.
We all should accept our strength and weakness.
You have a flawed thinking process. There is nowhere in the entire argument in this thread that anyone claimed that women are better than men in combat. That is your illusion and personal crises.
Even your statement saying that what women are better at is cooking and taking care of children shows you are engaging in pedestrian arguments. What has child care and cooking got to do with the discussion at hand?
I fear for the men around you. You'll rather see women win than your fellow men. Spits>
You better go fix a vagina coz you'll never be anything close to a man. If you're not even a female hiding behind the male moniker.
This is how villains are born and released into the society. They become advocates of causes that actually mask their pain.
Because of a film, this one is spilling bile on everyone that does not support his point of view as if they stole his lunch.
It is a good thing interacting with people like you. You daily remind us of well dressed cases that should be avoided and how to identify them before they cause irreversible damage.
Has there ever being a time when a woman could defeat a man in a sword fight?
Mention 1 heroic act done by a woman since the creation?
You sound like a weak man.
You are a child without an idea of what real manhood really is. You seem to have a convoluted idea of what manhood is and you get your joy from crushing women because of your oversized ego.
One thing is for sure: no woman will ever thrive in the ecosystem you belong to beyond what you are comfortable to.
If your forebears refused to school you on the heroic acts done by women since creation began then it must be intentional as a sacrifice to appease a diety. I will let sleeping dogs be.
What I sound like to you is a reflection of what is broken in you and may never be fixed.
WriterNig: The Lord Of The Woke: The Power Of Galadriel.
"You have not seen what i have seen"
This is a silly perspective. That a woman exhibited some heroic stuff beyond the men in the same time line does not mean that the men are weak. The woman simply outperformed based on the circumstances at that time.
We should not label everything as woke culture. It is this type of nonsense that make some men to crush some women who want to display any sign of excellence because they think it will make the men look bad.
crackhaus: On The Rings of Power, who else thinks they're doing too much with casting people of colour on the show?
Before anyone comes for me and accuses me of being a self-hating black man, try to pause for a minute and understand.
I totally get how casting black actors can be a noble idea considering how racially sensitive the world has become, but when it becomes too much, too unnecessary in some circumstances, and above all TOO obvious, then it starts to look forced & deliberate.
I will try not to make comparisons, but HOTD has done a better job at colour-casting than TROP has done, and it's for this one very obvious reason — HOTD did it without making it look forced.
TROP has us looking at black Elves (really? I thought Elves are known to have pale-skin with distinct colour of eyes), then there are black Dwarves (perhaps this could be overlooked), black Harfoots (not quite sure the purpose of having actors of colour included here).
Even with those characters they called Travellers/Hunters who had less than 2mins of screen time, they still managed to make one of them black.
Indeed it feels too deliberate, too forced... and honestly, once I start seeing that, then the novelty of it wears off and it starts to look patronizing.
Other than that, a good show overall... I am enjoying/will enjoy both HOTD and TROP to the fullest.
Your perception is as a result of conditioning.
There can never be too much blacks in a movie. This is the age of colour. Not the black and white age. Anyone with sense will include as many people of colour as possible.
nathdim: Upon their bad mouthing see as them they rush am under 24 hours
Meanwhile, the series premiere of “House of the Dragon’ is now approaching 25 million viewers in the U.S. after one week of availability on the streamer.
What a sharp contrast!
And this is despite the House of the Dragon Episode 1 being released on YouTube as The Rings of Power premieres.
The reception for the Rings of Power is high and as expected.
abduleez1: Lol, HBO is very confident and decides to be petty.
I beg to differ. This is not confidence. This is a mark of respect for the quality of Rings of Power. They will not put the whole episode on YouTube so soon if they are sure that there audience is intact and will not be distracted. It is a recognition of a formidable opponent. When two equals are in contention, someone may have to do something different to gain an upper hand.
Zoharariel: There are so many loopholes in the plot of this movie Top Gun: Maverick.
In the movie, the Amerikan Navy was tasked with destroying an uranium enrichment plant, which sits in between two mountains or a canyon.
1.) The Bandit Fighter Jets: The bandit or enemy fighter jets depicted in the movie is obviously the Russian Sukhoi SU-57 stealth multi role fighter.
The capabilities of these badass flying machines were grossly downplayed & understated in this movie. You can Google the capabilities of Sukhoi SU-57.
REALITY: Needles to say, all the intruding F/A-18 Jets would just be going up in flames boom, boom, boom, without even seeing the SU-57 coming.
Think about it. The “INVINCIBLE” F/A-18 Fighters would fly into an enemy territory fiam, fiam, fiam, undetected as if it is Nigeria or Zimbabwe we’re talking about.
Habaaa! Make una use una head small naa. If this were possible, the war in Ukraine would have ended on the 3rd day since Maverick-type Pilots would have been scrambled and ordered to bomb the Donetsk, Luhansk and even the Kremlin while the Ruskies are still sleeping & snoring in their beds.
2.) Missile Defense Systems: The surface-to-air-missile systems deployed to protect the target (the uranium enrichment plant) is a Soviet era S-125 Neva which was built is 1961.
REALITY: The enemy or should I say Russia would NEVER deploy a 60-year old Missile Defense Systems to protect an important underground uranium site.
Instead, a more advanced Missile Defense Systems would be waiting for the intruders.
Even North Korea (DPRK) would not make that stupid mistake, else her Nuclear capabilities would have been severely degraded long time ago.
3.) The Tomahawk Cruise Missiles: In the movie, barrage of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles were fired to destroy the enemy air base ahead of the mission in order to knock out their interceptive & retaliatory capabilities.
REALITY: No single one of those Tomahawk Cruise Missiles would hit their target (the enemy air base).
Let us even remove the S-500 from the equation.
All those Missiles would be intercepted & destroyed by the combination of S-400 Triumf + BUK Missile Systems + Pantsir S2 or simply deflected into the Sea or Ocean by changing the course of the Missiles as was done in Syria.
It has happened so many times before especially in Syria, and the Air Defense Systems that repelled these attacks on Syria were the outdated S-125 Neva and the S-200 Angara, as the Russia’s delivery of the S-300 to Syria was completed in 2018.
For these outlined reasons, I therefore rate the movie Topgun: Maverick 4/10. Even the 2005 movie “Stealth” is much more interesting & enjoyable than this brainwashing nonsense.
In my opinion, Topgun: Maverick is just another entertaining Hollywood overhyped movie made to poison undiscerning minds and nothing more.
In reality, even the aircraft carrier (and the entire crew) on which this “impossible mission” was executed would be swimming at the bottom of the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean - I am not joking.
You are free to rate the movie anyway you like it. Movies are just stories that are embellished to entertain audiences. They are not real project works where every T is crossed and every I is dotted. To satisfy the intellectual accuracy you are referring to will make a lot of movies boring. Secondly, it will require revealing military secrets that will compromise the defense of the country. Just enjoy it for its entertainment value and do not stress yourself. I even applaud the American movie industry that has over the years provided value to their audience in a way that no other country has.
she hulk has been around since the 80s and is well known among comic book readers unless you're a noob (which is obvious) also There's a character called Wonder Man in the comics
I take it that the only infantile way of showing that you have some inconsequential form of knowledge is to throw shots at people.
I was tempted to put you in your place. I then realized that you were already in your place. No point in going further with you.
Viewing She-Hulk trailer was an anticlimax. She-Hulk looks like a plagiarized version of Avatar and a watered down version of Hulk. It is not compulsory to create a female version of every superhero. Or maybe we should also have Wonder Man. The Antman and the Wasp seems more tolerable.
Aflix: I don’t know about him reminding me of Jack Sparrow. What I do know of is his premium performance. To think he did so without talking through most of the movie.
The Jack Sparrow part is the aspect of slight insanity he displayed. Tom Hardy helped amplify Charlize Theron's role irrespective of her great acting. If Tom Hardy's role were not perfectly played the movie would have been diminished.
Aflix: But Tom hardy was great in Mad max. I might agree with you on Margot in Wolf of Wall Street, but not on Birds of Prey. She was top notch in that movie.
Tom Hardy delivered a premium performance together with Charlize Theron. He reminded us of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Baddestguyp: People are really bashing The Lost City on twitter...
Seems the movie is terrible
Which part of Twitter were they bashing The Lost City? I was too tired to watch it this night but one fellow on Twitter went as far as saying that if you don't like The Lost City, he doesn't trust your reviews.

Very funny. Actually, Super hero movies may not sustain the momentum they have generated unless they are able to do it differently from what people are used to.
