Yorubas have massive industries in Nigeria that have branches even in Europe,Africa etc.

The evidence of success is not by making speculative posts but by making a quantifiable assessment of the two regions. Apart from Lagos and Ogun which other of the 6 S West states can compare with any any of the 5 States in South East. Mud houses, colonial age building and brown roofs are littered everywhere in South western states. You can't measure success by having one millionaire per 2 million populace.

The millionnaire south east traders you see in Nigeria are actually illiterates yet they are making serious entrepreneurs. Compare them with their counterparts in other tribes and you'd see how far Igbos have gone very far. The ones in other tribes are either doing omonile, agbero, thuggery etc.

It's more commensurate when you have more than 50percent and promising potentials as is obtainable in Igbo land. The poverty level on SW is very high and your political elites say it openly. Deal with that and argue with your keyboard.

Were they just assumed or counted out of the thin air? And if they are counted what's their numbers and where is their names to compared with the number of billionaires in another states of the country?


Now, your second articles, if we are to go by thet, assuming that's what was used as the yardstick to measured the stats, the news-stats rather, are those ten people all and if they are all are you now telling us that in lagos, imo, kaduna there are not more than that numbers, in naira billionaires. ??

Igbos no doubt are the richest in Nigeria. They have the largest concentration of people that live above poverty line as a result of their penchant for self reliance and competitiveness not only amongst themselves but in the environment where they find themselves.

An average Igbo is very ambitious and never cows at economic challenges.
They can adapt easily to economic swings of any given location. They have proactive business tendencies and inborn informal business forecast skills thus making them willing to delve into virtually every form of commercial activity.
You'd see them VIRTUALLY IN CONTROL of sectors of commerce like:
Household Electronics
Mobile Phones, ICT equipment
Office and Hospital Equipment
Clothing and Apparels
Cosmetics products
Groceries

Building Materials
Public Transportation
Household commodities
General import and Exports
Hospitality amongst others

You can still feel their commendable presence in other sectors that they are not in dominant control of like:

There's no state or town in Nigeria that you can't find a market dominated by Igbos. There's no country in the world you can't find an Igbo man.

Igbos own at least 60percent of the hotels in Nigeria.

Apart from the indigenes of host states Igbos are the highest number of landlords and property owners in every state in Nigeria.

An average Igbo man is very afraid of poverty that's why some can even venture into narcotics trade just to escape poverty.

That case is nothing compared to the atrocious acts perpetrated by personnels of the Police Force in Nigeria and you know it. I almost fell a victim a day I came out from a bureau de change. My nephew under 18, had also been brutalized after the police raided their hostel arrested everyone, seized their phones, labeled them yahoo boys and detained him for days because he had no money to bail himself.
A guy I knew went out around 7pm to buy some medications for his grandmom who's on a sick bed only to run into Police men who raided a sports viewing centre and arrested everyone including passers by. The guy spent 3 days in their cell. They labeled it unlawful gathering and all of them cultists. The family parted with huge sum of money before he was released. Some that couldn't afford it were charged to court.
Most common is how they find faults in peoples vehicle particulars and accuse them of car theft just to extort money from them. Are these not atrocious enough?

The personnel of Nigerian Police Force always feel they are invincible and above the law.
They take advantage of the failed system to intimidate innocent lives and perpetrate all manner of evil. Many innocent people are in jails because they either refused to bribe the police on false accusations or trumped up charges by the Police. People that shamelessly and heartlessly concoct all manner of ideas to victimize and extort money from the defenceless and the poor.

Interestingly Karma has a way of dealing with them. The life of their children always have tell tale signs of the atrocities of their parents. Also the type of evil and miserable misfortune that befall some of these officers especially after retirement is another comforting hope for the victims of their abuses.
