I don't sleep well at night. Never did. My pre-teens was sticking my book out the window at night so I could read it with the light from the neighbour's better than us. No, not my school books, which was study 7pm-11, but novels, which my parents weren't keen on me reading because my favourite for a while had pictures on the front they disapproved of. They were by a guy who Chased H. James, if you get my drift, and 110 of them too, so I read when every one slept.

The noise from the better than me neighbour didn't help much with sleep neither, but my non-night sleep might have began in ma's womb. She was a nurse when I was conceived. Worked nights. And I think her not sleeping kept me awake too.

My first regular job didn't help. It was shifts, with lots of night, which was when my body was most awake, and I worked it for like 10 years.

Its all me though. I kind of rolled with me instead of reprogramming, and now I'm set in sleepless rocks. And since I now do my own earning when I want, there's been little incentive to change. Had to while studying though, and when I had a day job, but I do always, when I can, go back to non-night sleeping.

I'm saying all this because its night and I'm sleepless, and you might have been programmed like I am, and might just need to reprogramme yourself if you do want to sleep at night.

I believed that I was a night owl. It was awesome during my teens and early twenties because like you I worked nights and I clubbed a lot. Also, I grew up in a 24/7 city which didn’t help because I would wake up at 9pm, do my food shopping, and start cooking by midnight. I must’ve been a nightmare neighbour.

I recently found out that ADHD impacts the circadian clock and causes it to be out of wack. I now use a lap which emits light that is like sun rays. There’s a white light for the morning and more amber light for the evening. This tricks my brain and troubleshoots my circadian rhythm.

I had a bad flu the last 2 weeks which threw off my sleep schedule again but I hope to get it back by skipping sleep tonight and crashing later on this evening. Hopefully the lamp will even me out again.

Nice... Isn't this the same as hydroponic farming? You can grow literally every plant without soil. People do this on larger scale for commercial farming here in Lagos. It's a better alternative to soil and can be done indoors. I heard it increases yield by 30% compared to soil farming

Wow! I never knew this. I thought plants grown in this manner could not produce fruit. This is mind blowing. I’m going to research this and thanks to you, that’s another rabbit hole that I’ll probably spend days down. Thank you for sharing this with me 🫶

This sounds really good buuut we all have character defects and we must work on those defects and develop better ways to flow with life. Op (according to him) has anger management issues, is unable to regulate his emotions, and has low self esteem and thus struggles with every day life. Telling himself he is perfectly fine and loving himself isn’t going to change his defects. He needs to find videos online, read articles, and learn about self development. He needs practical skills not just self love.

She was a police officer turned serial killer from 2012 to 2018, she murdered 6 of her family members, her cousin in 2012, her sister and niece in 2013, the father of her only child in 2015, her two nephews between 2017 and 2018.

She allegedly also ordered a hit on her mother, but upon the hitman's arrival at her homestead, he saw how frail her mother was and changed his mind. He instead pretended as if he was a passerby in need of water to drink and the elderly lady offered him a glass of water after which he left... She then changed hitmen and the next person on her hit list would be her sister and her five children, but like the previous hitman, he couldn't bring himself to do it, he instead tipped off the police about her evil plan and one of the police officers was made to go undercover and act as an accomplice.

They then lured her into explaining the entire process of how she wanted to have her sister and children murdered while secretly recording her... Her plan was to have them strangled and set alight afterwards... They even stopped by at a petrol station to buy petrol which was going to be used on her targeted victims, but the undercover police arrested her afterwards.

Her child also died mysteriously at the age of two.

The motive: she had opened life insurance policies for all her victims and listed herself as the beneficiary had something was to happen to them, so she'll make a claim after each passing of her victims.

Location: between Mpumalanga and Gauteng province.

Judgement: she was found guilty.

Now this is a psychopath! I watched a documentary on this. She was a serial killer. She nearly wiped out her entire family for life insurance claims. I was surprised that the insurance companies didn’t catch on sooner because they don’t like giving money out to people who need it but here she was racking up the money and gambling it away as quickly as it came. These kinda people make it clear to me that the devil is real and he’s watching them in disgust.

She orchestrated the murder of her parents and two siblings at just 15 years old with the help of her two friends who were 18 years old at the time... Her father was a police officer while her mother was a nurse, meaning she was from a middle class family with a stable household income.

Her motive: that her parents were too strict and controlling. Which was expected from any parent since she was still a child... one day when she was intoxicated, she went to the police station and confessed everything to the police and this was five years after the murders... The police had already lost hope in solving the case.

Location: North West province

Judgement: since she was still a minor when she had her family murdered, she was only sentenced to 25 years in prison while her two accomplices were given life sentences each for the four murders.

This was so messed up! I remember what it was like to be a child and to wish death upon anyone who upset me or told me off but it never crossed my mind to get the job done myself. I say that to say this; she was a dumb child who was obviously traumatised or mentally unwell rather than some masterminded psychopath.

I mean her conscience couldn’t bare the reality of her childish fantasy (to have the freedom and her family’s wealth) to be free from her “controlling” parents. Instead she Methed around and found out. What a tragedy.
