TGM2015: Thank you, we on the same page. I'm only telling the quoted moniker that the so call SR that he/she is referring to a making propaganda investigations (against PDP governors) is the same news agency that is exposing FG budget of fraud (APC president).
I have be a fan of SR since the first they open their facebook account and checking their mission, they are to expose corruption of Africa leaders/government. Though all their news might not be absolutely accurate and truthful but it contains over 90% truth and accuracy, my opinion though. 90% accuracy and Sahara reporters should never again be mentioned in the same statement. How did you come about that your absurd statistics? SR is only trying to tag along and appear neutral on the budget, because Tinubu is unhappy with the goings on in the APC. SR is nothing but a biased and unethical media outfit. A disgrace to objective journalism. |

iPopAlomo: There is no new policy anywhere... clearing involves the following process...
1. Pay your duty... 2. Examine the consignment for which duty is paid... to make sure the federal government wasn't cheated... 3. Pay Shipping and Terminal fees... 4. Release your consignment...
I can comfortably tell you... you underpaid your agent... he also tried to underpay the government... which leads to your present predicament... I do not completely agree with your assertion. If he can get the assessment and duty payment receipt, then maybe we can know the true position as per under payment. Some agents charge for everything, and then try to cut corners to make profits; which sometimes back fires. I have been in this trade long enough to know that he's either being scammed or his agent tried a short cut that back fired. I have seen agents abandon jobs half way and taking off with clients money amongst several other gimmicks they play. Solution: Go look for him, get all documents relating to the transaction, especially the duty assessment, shipping and terminal payments receipts and the alert notification document (inspection act). pass same on to someone knowledgeable in the trade to give you the true position of your consignment. Alternatively, get a copy of the Bill of Laden and/or PAAR and get to either a DTI, the shipping company or Terminal to know what has been going on. I wish you the best in this adventure. |

cuteboy2: You are missing the point completely.
All past governments in Nigeria have always exercised care to ensure that the electoral body chairman always comes from another part of the country from that of the President or Head of State. Go and check the records, beginning with the late Justices Ovie-Whiskey during Shagari's 2nd republic.
Even OBJ with all his shenanigans respected this convention to assuage the feelings of other parts of the country and to foster confidence in the electoral process.
It is not about balancing. Go and read Fayose's statement carefully again. Right now all arms of the government reside firmly in the hadns of the North, including the election umpire. It has never happed like this.
Under Buhari what we have is:
Executive Arm - North (Buhari) Legislative Arm - North (Saraki/Dogara) Judiciary - North (Justices Mahmud Mohammed).
In fact the last 4 Supreme Court Chief Justices of Nigeria have been Northerners ( Katsina-Alu, Dahiru Musdapher, Aloma Mariam Mukhtar, and Mahmud Mohammed)
This is truly scary It was just sarcasm at play. Check again. |

Politics › New INEC Chairman: Buhari Is A Sectional Leader, Says Fayose by dougivilla(op): 6:06pm On Oct 22, 2015 |
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the appointment of yet another northerner, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as Chairman the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a vindication of his position that “President Mohammadu Buhari is a sectional leader, who sees himself mainly as leader of the Hausa/Fulani, and not that of the entire people of Nigeria.”
The governor, who said he had expected that the new INEC Chairman will be chosen from one of the three Southern geo-political zones, especially the South Western part of the country being the only zone yet to produce chairman of the nation’s electoral umpire, posited that; “Nigeria has entered a one chance bus and it remains to be seen who will save the country from its sectional President.”
Reacting to the appointment of Prof Yakubu as the new INEC chairman, Governor Fayose said, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka that even the Yoruba leaders who promoted and made the Buhari’s Presidency possible had been short-changed.
The governor asked; “Shouldn’t he have considered someone from either South-East, South-South or South-West as Chairman of the Electoral Commission now that we have a President from the North?
“For reasons of perception, equity and fairness, don’t we have credible people from the Southern part of Nigeria that can conduct credible elections as INEC Chairman? Or do we assume that the 2019 elections have already been won and lost by the appointment of this Hausa/Fulani professor as INEC chairman? Or isn’t it regrettable that even in 2015, it is only in PDP controlled States that elections are being upturned?”
He said he was worried that the three arms of government; namely Executive, Legislative and Judiciary were being headed by northerners, leaving the three zones in the Southern part of the country with nothing. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/new-inec-chairman-buhari-is-a-sectional-leader-says-fayose/ |
