Hello Everyone, I am a living experience to this matter. My mother insisted on getting a wife for me, though i was in a relationship but wasn't convinced it will lead to marriage. So i accepted my mum's moves and fortunately i loved the lady she got and now we are married with a child.

Few weeks after our marriage my parents always try to exert their control over my marriage, dictating to us on what should happen in the marriage which we tried resisting and this caused a lot of rift, hatred, bitterness and quarrel towards myself and my wife up till this moment of nearly 3yrs of marriage.

So my advice to the poster, you have to be very careful with this because it can bring division in the family which i am experiencing now. Talk to your mum and convince her that u can get a wife of your own but if by chance you get to love your mum's candidate then let your mum know she should take the blame for any eventual disagreement between you and the family that may arise during the marriage because your mum will try to exert her control especially if she resides in the same town with you.

I have traveled to all states in Nigeria and the most backward states are found in the North, to the best of my knowledge Gombe is presently the most backward of all. Zamfara is far better than Gombe

Kebbi- most boring to live in.
Abuja - Most developed.
Lagos- Most stressful but filled with Opportunities
Taraba - big for nothing
Maiduguri- Hottest as in weather, fair development.
Portharcourt- garden city(wrong name), development is below expectation.
Imo- home of keke marwa, good road.
Kano- Air pollution, no thanks to the bikes, so many of them.

first: for 1.5KVA inverter = u need at least 2.5KVA gen to charge it. that's what i have currently.

Do not allow it to go off by itself cos it weakens the battery.

Equivalent load on inverter to Gen should be: i better pass = 1.5KVA inverter + 1 battery.

so do the maths in adding load to your inverter.

its good, efficient, no-noise, cheaper (on the long run), but you must have a generator before u can get an inverter cos u cannot rely on NEPA to charge your inverter even though NEPA charges it faster.

Cost: 1.5KVA (N25,000) + 1 battery (30,000) + installation (7,500) = N62,500.

then 2.5KVA gen (standby) **wink**

Good information and cheaper compared to the other dealers, please lets know the Capacity of the battery in 'Ah'  and the voltage in 'V'

MTN's Internet service Plans are trickish and unfriendly.

All these Gsm internet services are not impressive. I use Etisalat and it is frustrating most times.They are licenced only to 2.5G Network and thier coverage is not wide as the others.make sure u check the effectiveness of their network in ur area before u subscribe to their service.
MTN is better of but also has its own epileptic periods.

Infact Nigeria is not yet there in terms of speed in wireless internet service.

What we need is a complete fiber connectivity in these Networks to step up the speed of browsing.

With the Glo fiber to house service coming up soon we will get there.

My Advice for you is to take the Engineering job on these conditions;
1. If you have a passion for Engineering.
2.If the company is well Established(especially not a one man company).
3.If the position given to you would enable u get the experience that would be relevant to your progress.
Moreover you might end up going home with more that 60k a month, if your job entails travelling that comes with allowances and all that.
So equip yourself with these facts before making any decision so as not to end been miserable.
Job satifaction is very important as money too is. The Engineering company would satisfy and profit you in long run most especially if these conditions i listed above surrounds it.
