ibiboss: PLEASE HELP ME! MY BABY WAS BORN WEIGHING 5.5KG AND YESTERDAY SHE WAS WEIGHING 5.6KG AT 7 WEEKS. WHY IS SHE NOT GAINING WEIGHT DESPITE DOING EBF FOR HER. 5.5kg!!!!! Wow, that is BIG!!!! I did the maths though. At dt age, your baby should be 6.46kg. So, at 5.6kg, your baby's weight is 88% of expected. Perfectly normal. You need not worry and please don't be tempted to overfeed him. Already her weight is close to dt of a 3 month old so I say she is doing fine. Quick question.... Were you diabetic during pregnancy? Or are your babies always this big. |

comtem2011: Hello Mamas in d house, pls what is d effect of using a baby formula that has been opened for more than 4 weeks on babies. quick response pls. attention:DrAda, Zaynie, Kaffybill and other lovely mamas. Personally, I will not give it to my baby. I will be so uneasy and will worry that any little problem is due to the milk. Instead of discarding it, you can use it for your older kid's breakfast eg tea or pancake or something. My opinion though #nofoodisawaste# |

IryNky: She was 2.57 @ birth 3.4 @ 6 weeks. Tanks from my calculation, the ideal weight for your baby at 6 weeks with 2.57kg birth weight is 3.53kg. Right now, she is 3.4(i am guessing you measured without pampers) which is 96% of expected. Your Baby is absolutely fine. |

mumsgirl27: It is...very sugary, I couldn't even finish d tin, had to throw it away looked it up and really the sugar content was ridiculously high in peak 123 compared to other milk. I hope they change this soon cos too much sugar does indeed cause problems in the long run |

Onegai: Not always. These are guidelines which several children skip or change the timing. As long as it happens then there's no cause for alarm.
My baby couldn't crawl but stood up supporting herself on furniture and cruised around the house. Then learned how to crawl after that. She's just learning to stand unsupported and she's 10 months. A few of her cousins never crawled in their lives but cruised and walked. True that. I know a couple of babies that never crawled. I only outlined the norm. Of course, there are a few exceptions |

Congratulations!! You are a Mom and now you are wondering what you should expect in terms of the development of your baby.
Well, from 4 to 6 weeks age, your baby should be able to give you a beautiful smile. We call that social smile.

mumsgirl27: In my option, I think Peak 123 is too sugary for children, The day I mistakenly bought it, I as an adult couldn't take becos of the sugar content.I think u should look for other product Too sugary? That's strange. Didn't know this. |

babythug: Get a bucket of hot water and place baby on your laps nut in such a way that the steam.from the water can be inhaled by the baby. Them cover with a towel so the full effects can be felt. But ensure you hold baby firmly to avoid accidents. Of you don't have enough confidence please don't try this.
Or just massage baby's chest and back with a heated towel so the steam can go into the body well.
You may add eucalyptus oil or mentholatum into the hot water. I don't know why I feel uncomfortable with the steam bath. Let's beware of burns. |

sheweezy: Good morning mothers. How is motherhood journey. Please my question is my son will be 1 by 6 th of june. He eats adult meals now and foes not take his cereal again. My issue is he refuses it even in the night now. Can i just switch to beverage for him? Or i have to wait till he is 1 ghan ghan. Then which beverage can i switch to, if i want to use Dano milk, is it full cream or cool cow? I will go with Peak 1, 2, 3. It is tailored for children aged 1 to 3 years. Your Child's brain is still growing and you want his nutrition to be touch notch with the appropriate nutrients till he is at least 2 years. Then, you can introduce Dano. |

I don't entirely agree with the op especially when it concerns new beginners who are just trying out the vast ocean that is blogging for the first time . To each their own. Free blogging provides you with the opportunity to learn the ropes at no cost. No harm no foul. Perhaps, once you are solidly grounded, you can then decide to branch off on your own terms, while importing on your new site the entire contents of your old blog. |
