We have the best of the best brains among us leading this nation right now. Awa la ni eto se!! Gbabesky!

With ingenious creativity, $7 billion just got unlocked like that!! Now you see how our brains built Lagos and the South West.

Nigeria is in the best hands and brains. We no go school go sell guguru and epa. We went to school hard and hard we studied whenever we remember that our education is being funded from owo oni iru and owo alata petty trading of our parents and forebears. We read in school as if all our lives depends on book. Nigeria is today reaping that knowledge we toiled to acquire with the sacrifices our parents made.

Expect more unleashing of our ingenuity and patriotism. The bar will be raised so high that never again with someone with mediocre third class of a trader step forward to become President and submit GCE o level certificate as his highest qualification. Never again!

Invest in Lagos and neighbouring Yoruba South West Nigeria states to get the greatest return on investment and best investor friendly experience today.
God bless Nigeria for ever!

Coneheads and mediocrity. Naira has lost 40percent of its value since your ancestor came in through illegal means to rule us. Even if this $7bn is unlocked to clear Forex, naira will not fall below #1000 to a dollar. Buhari the dullard has done better than your balablu ancestor leaving Naira at about 400 before he left, but your balablu ancestor has created a new world record of dullards by taking the naira above 1000 mark. If shamelessness was a name, coneheads and agbadorians would wear it shamelessly on their foreheads, the same way you people proudly display your tiger claw marks on your scrawny faces. Gerraway

Politics / Re: Supreme Court On CSU Deposition; How Atiku Wasted Time And Resources by DrAkpamudehe: 1:48am On Oct 27, 2023
Pakute:
According to the SC,
- the deposition Atiku tendered was obtained from the office of the Attorney representing him.
- that the court in the US did not put a stamp or a seal on the deposition and that no signature of a judicial officer was appended on it, therefore, the document was useless and can never be admissible as evidence in any court of law.
- that Atiku failed to write CSU requesting for a letter to authenticate that Tinubu's certificate was not the document of the school.
Atiku went on a jamboree, fishing expendition, fruitless exercise, amounting to vanity.

You children are very naive. Even if Atiku had done all these things you mentioned, the supreme court would still have found other ways to give the ruling they gave. So it changes nothing

Here is my advice. You say you are a woman right ? You didn't tell us your age but am guessing mid twenties. This my advice , get that your 2 million naira, take 1.5 million and go and put it in first bank fixed deposit. Just so you don't lose it through fluctuating forex cuz trust me a world war is coming through and at the end of it the dollar would be toilet paper and western economies would collapse.

The remaining 500k, just go back home with your parents and use that 500k conservatively to chop life and beautify yourself . While looking for courses you can do for free on YouTube and while actively dating and looking for a husband

Forget that japa thing oooo unless you are ready for a life of loneliness and no husband and working like a dog till you start looking wretched . Japa is not for single women oooo lol

MD of LNG no dey get salary of 100M monthly and i don think any Bank MD get 10M monthly as salary in Nigeria. You are talking about 50K USD weekly which is like 200M NGN monthly. If you know someone that earn that in Nigeria, you wont even be cooling off here.

So Nigeria have finally happen to me, I thought if I save a little to the 5M I have, it would be able to leave this country by next year.

But right now, it is impossible, I saw on Twitter how a lady was begging money for flight ticket which was about 2.2M, just flight ticket o.

Months ago, a relative of mine told me someone is looking for a dependent and he will connect me to the person, he said the payment was 4M and I was not going to pay much after that and I will stay with the person in the UK before I settle on my own but I was forming big girl saying I will do my process by myself.

Now look, dollar have increased, the money is now worthless, anyway when there is life, there is hope.

Nairaland please help me think of a business to start with 2M, I can't just leave the money in the bank to keep on depreciating.

Thank you

Why don't u enter any ecowas country and book your ticket from there?

distance is not a problem. i will still look for house anywhere then start coming to school from there though its expensive but i will manage just for experience gaining. maybe few months thing will fall in place.

more also if you have free volunteer, just the experience is okay

You need to keep searching. Even in Australia, you can't get a job within 1month except cash and carry labourer jobs. You should have enough money to last you at least 6months whenever you go to a foreign land. I will try and contact my nephews living around that area to see if there is any contact they have regarding jobs. Be strong, this is a phase and it will pass. In between, abeg those lands you are putting for sale, where are they located? Am currently on property shopping spree in Nigeria.

No you stop talking nonsense and encouraging people like the op.

I guess you know my history here and know how many times I have warned people like the op about exact same thing he is going through now.
Don’t come to the UK if you have no money to survive. Don’t use untouchable loans to get a visa then come here to struggle.

Why waste 13m naira for nothing?

You are asking if I paid my fees in full when I came here? So do you know when I came here and the immigration rules then?

My friend, you should be the one to stop talking nonsense and acting holier than though. If Nigeria was operating at the level it was pre-2015, I don't think Op and his types will be so desperate to leave Nigeria.

People just want to survive, please let the poor breath.

That 13 million he spent to Japa to UK would have set up something tangible in Nigeria which if managed properly can grow in a space of 5-10 years into multi-million naira investment.

We have agro processing bisinesses begging for investments yet our youths keep rushing to pay UK government and their universities millions over certificate they might end up not using.. what really is wrong with Nigerians?.

Have warned you severally to stop typing nonsense on topics beyond your station on nairaland. You don't want to heed my warnings. You are talking of setting up businesses, how many you done set up so far?
It seems like people like you don't know that Nigeria is not currently conducive for doing business or are you typing from planet mars? Be careful, my boy.

Dude we know all that and that was why i asked you the very first question.

You have been in nairaland for 8yrs plus and we have been warning people like you about using untouchable loan to get a visa then travel with little or nothing but still people still do it and then open a thread like this to cry a river.

This is self inflected injury and you should blame yourself for this.

Oga, stop all these self purification and aggrandizement. If Nigeria is working O.P and most Nigerians would not leave Nigeria to go and try their luck in UK. Op did what he had to do to get a visa and get a chance at a brighter future. You that have been in UK for over 20yrs, did you have your complete school fees when you jakpaad? If you want to help him with contacts, help him, stop all this unnecessary condemnation. Life in Nigeria is freaking hard.

my dream was that immediately I came over, i and my dependant will search for jobs.. work and pay bill. but that is not feasible as I am seeing it.

i started this process with 15 million naira then when naira nose dive i had to borrowed extra 15 million to top it with interest of almost 2 million naira. landed in uk, started seeing the reality on ground

i have been in UK since 1 month plus. but getting a job as a migrant or new commer without UK experience is not easy.
in fact i have sent over 200 job application for cleaner, care assistant etc but all came with a sorry we have moved on to the next stage or you don't have uk experience.

school fees has to be paid. everyone here in tight corner... school has sent mail threatening to report to the immigration if school fees is not paid in the next few weeks to most Nigerians here.

no job, house rent is expensive.. going for 450 to 600 pounds per month.

travelling through student route is not really easy because you have to balance between work and school.. 'even at that where is the job as a new migrant.

Please if you are considering coming to UK for now.. please put on hold. the crowd from Indians, Pakistani, Malaysia, china etc is overwhelming.

it's not worth selling your home to be here.

i sleep in indeed and all this job site.. still yet nothing, bills mounting up.

all my colleague i came with are still with no jobs in other cities

after spending 13 million coming here with extra 3k dollars now almost exhausted chai

if u know you don't have full school fees, house rent for 12 months, upkeep.... running to 35m to 40m please stay back... stay back or apply through skill route.

edited with more info.

Old boy, go and look for construction labourer jobs. Those jobs are very easy to find. Try link up with naija boys who have been in the system for a long time to show you cash and carry jobs, or let you know agencies owned by Nigerian employers that can link you to casual labor jobs. Go naija churches and link up with the pastor and guys there. They will give u good information.Getting a job in UK or any other country as a new comer is mainly thru networking and getting information and contact from the right people. Good luck

Jakpa is seen as a thing of joy by the majority of black Africans but the few wise ones see it as a modern-day slavery. It's saddening that the transatlantic slave trade continues in a new dimension, bankers, doctors, and high-profile career Africans end up becoming toilet cleaner, and white man poo 💩 hole cleaners all in the name of caregivers. The whites kept using Africans for cheap labor, and the Africans were enslaved with debts, and taxes. Most jakpa folks can't boast of 100k USD in a year sad .
Jakpa is modern-day transatlantic slavery whereby burgers and snow were used to lure black Africans just like how lanterns, glass, and whisky were used to lure our fathers
The grass is greener where you watered the ground wink

Can you even boast of 50k USD in Nigeria? I don't know why it is broke ass people who have no capacity to jakpa that go about writing rubbish and discouraging people to leave. Allow those who want to leave to leave, jakpa is as old as the human creation.

Because they registered a company as NEXT international whose only product is a chain of few retail stores, this naive ignoramus thinks it is bigger than just a failing retail business because they add international put inside business name grin.
Next isn't a distribution company but a retail store that also sell in bulk,90% of their inventory gotten on credit from local suppliers and guess what,NEXT only do Sales or return with their suppliers meaning they have little to no money in the business asides the structure which was built on credit.
You must be very mad to think NEXT is anything worthy to compare alpha beta,a failed retail chain that Market Square owned by Sundry foods Limited has beaten hands down in PH by all metric, except opening a big shopping floor of course that even struggles with running cost is what this goat is painting as something.
Successful retail chain that do sales or return with suppliers and even sublets floor space to other dealers for rent money is who is doing well abi?mumu grin
Sundry foods pays you immediately after 30days,whether they sell or not because they're more liquid than failed Next with almost poor turnover.
NEXT don't supply ,they get supplied at their store buy suppliers/distributors on credit and they pay after they sell,if they don't sell, they return your stock. So nobody dreams of doing business with them, rather market square and the likes.
Because petty traders go to their shelves and buy what they retail in their cubicles don't make NEXT a key distributor of any kind.
You're mad if you think Peter Obi is the biggest distributor of Coca cola.
Indomie isn't a company, its a product owned by Dufil prima with indomie being one of its products, with multiple distributors nationwide ,allocated by catchment area.
Budweiser, trophy and Co are owned by International brewery and is even logistically impossible to have a sole distributor for such high volume fmcg products that capitalise on effective distribution and serious turnover to make profits. No brand will even accept you to be a sole distributor for beer in Nigeria.
Heinz products is distributed by FMCL in Nigeria, and is an Indian company, they also do redbull,pringles,etc...and has no business with Peter Obi,so you lie here.
Andre sparkling wine is owned and marketed by Blue Arrow in Nigeria ,who also have no links with Peter Obi,you also lie here.
So you lied about almost everything about Obi,and I keep pointing to you that he's a failure and I don't doubt that.
PS:
You keep saying I don't know anything about business, it might interest you to know that I actually own a very structured distribution business with an annual turnover of N2B with multiple mobile/motorised salesmen and administrative staff, and I built it before 30.
I wonder what a street dog like you know about business that I don't, to even have the effontery to tell me I know nothing about business.
Typical frustrated Biafran scum of the earth.
Peter Obi can't tie Tinubu's shoes in any field, asides talking of course and have hungry tribalistic pigs like you chant about his business prowess that don't exist.

StillmaticOG . I greet o.
Btwn #2Billion naira is nothing in today's economy. It's not something you should brag about o.

My Dad's Cousin is on this table. Way back when we spent holidays with them after school term were over, we'll move for a week or more. Twas fun. But Uncle's wife has an elder bro and younger sis that behaved just like your aunt. Uncle's wife tried to no avail, but both were like a tag team whenever she tries to resist them.

Fortunately, her elder bro came one day and began to insult, bully my cousins for half an hour. My dad was inside. He heard all, came out, and called him to order. Took him aside and told he needs to listen. My dad reprimanded him in a wise, calm, but firm way. He tried to justify his actions to no avail.

At the end, he stopped and my uncle's wife was super excited that an elder has helped her. Her excitement was caught short when her younger sis came on a Sunday to start her own anger games. Uncle's wife was telling her she can't dialogue with a mad woman, expecting she will calm down and then discuss.

My mum came around later and took her aside too. I dunno what they discussed but i saw the younger sister weeping. Oops!!

Long story cut short, both stopped it altogether and are still grateful. Younger sis is married and elder bro is doing really well now. Frustration of no husband for younger sis, and no job for elder bro. That was the origin of their shege and Vawulence to their nephews and nieces.

Conflict Resolution is gold
