with out a doubt igbos are the originators of nigeria's modern problems! we didnt know coups till the 5majors struck! we didnt know tribal hate till the majors killed leaders from a particilar region! we didnt know nepotism till ironsi made his 1st military appointments with eastern coloration! we were federating units till the same ironsi opted for a unitary form of govt. it was igbos in northern nigeria that taunted the hausa fulani praising nzeogwu for he's bravery! these were the actions that formed the present suspicion and hate in nigeria now! |

after the christmas bombings i will address the nation and in my speech i will announce the immediate sack of the NSA,IG,CG immigration and DG sss! nigeria's northern borders will be closed! i as the C in C will assume command of the security apparatus of the following states; BORNO,YOBE,NIGER,BAUCHI,PLATEAU,KANO and put them on partial emergency rule! the practice of shariah law in certain states of nigeria will be suspended with immediate effect pending the advice of the anttorney general after consultation with certain constitutional lawyers on its practice in a multi religious society like nigeria and constitutional implications! religiou organisations(both xtian & moslem) will be banned with immediate effect! district heads/ward heads will henceforth be charged with any individual who has lived in the district/ward for upwards of 2weeks caught carrying out terrorist acts. a full military curfew will be imposed in the states of borno,yobe,niger,bauchi,plateau and kano states. religious worship in the mentioned states (xtian and moslem) will be restricted during the period of the military curfew. by presidential fiat,residents in a ward where an individual has lived for upwards of 2weeks and is caught carrying out terrorist acts will also be held and detained for questioning! ward heads will also be held responsible for not reporting the presence of foreigners in their communities to the immigration authorities! travel to and fro the affected states will only be by registered public transporters and will be restricted to transport buses fully searched,security agents vehicle and medical personnel ehicles! other vehicles both private and govt will be banned for the duration of the military curfew! |

gutter nonsense! why are igbo's always trying to play the victims here? history cannot be denied! flash back 1966, a group of igbo soldiers(mostly anioma) out of no just reason decided to murder cold bloodedly(if u've read the story well, u will knw how they massacred their victims) northern officers and politicians including lt.col pam(a middle belter) thus establishing nigeria's 1st tribal hate war! aguyi ironsi(after cajoling the ministers) assumed office and refused to bring the murderers to book instead made military appointments with igbo coloration thus establishing nigeria's 1st nepotic administration! igbo traders out of sheer stupidity taunted the northerners around them celebrating nzeogwu as a hero and the result; july 1966, which eventually led to the civil war! the rest of the country having been inroduced to this inhuman violence called 1st coup or revolution(depending on your bias) fought the igbos and history was made! nobody(these middle belt groups) should try and re write history because of current convenience! with out a doubt the misadventure of jan 1966 introduced mlitary rule,unitary system of govt(what we mistakenly refer to as federalism),nepotism and tribal hate! no one should try to re write history because of current situations! 1 Like |

@cashmentor it wasnt just northners that suggest the moving of the capital to abuja,infact the aguda headed 6man panel had only one northner! the idea then was to look for a place more suitable to all nigerians and to correct the mistakes of lagos,also security of the location from external attacks was considered! among the places considered were lokoja,makurdi,jos,keffi! but these places already had established towns/cities and as such were ruled out! the place we now call abuja was actually suleja but the name was changed and abuja became suleja and vice versa |

the truth is; abacha looted real good just like obj,ibb and gej the only difference is abacha died in office and shortly after his adversary came on sit and created a monster out of him! let buhari become president and you all will see d monsters in obj,ibb and co. abacha had a bad human rights record just like obj(even worst) the only difference is abacha's were prominent people running in tens while obj's were the poor and down trodden of zaki biam and odi running in thousands! let a non pdp strong leader come on sit and you will see the demon in obj abacha got lots of houses for himself in abuja just like obj,gej,ibb and co. the only difference is while abacha's were gifts from mainly lebanese companies as gifts the others openly conered the houses (gej has technically bought a whole street at maitama near indian embassy) lets be true to ourselves for once, abacha became a monster simply because he was probed! it will be very unfair if we now call him the badest when we are yet to know the truth behind the govts of ibb,obj with cronies like atiku,danjuma etc. afterall nobody has come out to say abacha bought govt companies for himself but we can't say the same of crew obj,atiku,ibb,gej etc! the man had some good points like putting imf at bay,making nigeria a force on the regional level,increasing derivation to 13%(which non other has bothered touching again),ptf(atleast he had a better argument for subsidy removal) and to a large extent infrastruture! oops i forgot to add he actually gave out the first gsm liscense. unfortunately history has recorded his name with his bad side |
