For those that control the world, it has always been important to maintain that control. Before now, newspapers, tv and radio were the media used to disperse information (fake or real) just to control the populace and have them thinking some kind of way. But back then, the news were spread by a medium you can hold responsible if the news happened to be fake whether newspaper or broadcasting stations. The reach isn't as global as it is now. The world is now a much more smaller place than when we waited for the newspaper in the morning or for the newscaster to tell us a new story. These days we get almost all our news from the popular and not so popular social media apps at any given time of the day. All the newspaper, tv and radio stations all have social media pages and report there faster than their conventional means. Unless there's a public uproar, people don't even care to read an entire article or do some research on what they just read or watched. We just read a headline and then dive into discussions and arguments about what we barely know about.
This makes us more sheep than ever before. We believe anything. It's almost as if some of us who are supposed to take over from these current crop of leaders have lost sense of reasoning. We completely digest whatever we read on SM or watch in a reel without questioning it.
There's been no time in human history where the governed are more easily controlled than we like to believe. Herd mentality on the cyberspace is dangerously on the rise and will allow more subliminal control. We need to wake up.

I'm half blind in one eye. I have forgiven him but we drifted apart. It's not just me, same as with my siblings. You know when you just get to that point where you can't share personal stuff with your parent anymore. You're just their child and they're your parent and responsibilities on either side of that are not lagging but there's no friendship per se. Anger issues, trust issues, control issues and like you rightly mentioned, self righteous issues... these are some of his traits. In fact, there's no time my siblings and I are talking about him and one of these traits isn't the reason for the conversation. Even though a parent(s) can make loving them difficult, we just do anyway.

This is not a shot at any gender. This is simply an observation of the declination of societal morals into the abyss of no return.
From the beginning of time, man has always had to protect women, this instituted family which grew into society. The breakdown of this institution (family) is why morals have gone to the gutters. Normal levels, people dey spoil. Humans have always delved inside the crevices of the walls that breach debauchery way back as stories of Sodom and Gomorrah. It is because morals have to be protected that the story was told.
This issue of getting naked in front of a camera or making a video recording of any sexual activity, how can it be curbed? My Telegram app is awash with many 18+ groups that post leaks such as the current ones making waves in our local cyberspace. These groups opened me into a world I never knew existed. I knew Americans were doing Onlyfans but then again it's America. In our very own country applications such as Bigo Live and Buzzcast have turned your innocent daughters into immoral entities and they're making money doing it.
I'm now genuinely scared of how to raise a daughter when I have one. Raising a son is just as scary but when society actively tells your daughter to sexualize herself as soon as possible, what do you do? Many kids under the age of 15 have seen sextapes of celebrities who are supposedly their idols. How do they unlearn this?
