Omo Messi have achievements wey peoole no go smell for the next 2 decades so nothing to loose

I don’t think he is saving his best ,nobody shines forever

This is the first time in about 14 seasons Messi is not the best player in the world with performance

I hope mbappe or benzema wins the ballon d or
Salah will win it if Liverpool win UCL. Lewy will if Bayern win UCL. Messi and Ronaldo are both out of the race already.

Doherty is doing well at RWB. Conte might bring him in as backup RWB.

Ejuke might go back to the Dutch league but I hope him and his agent are smart and go to somewhere he can really show his talent.

There is nothing special about Bayern ,small German teams have beaten them several times in the bundesliga

No be only 11 mbappe ,Na Salzburg dem go fit do that one nah ,Bayern are not that good like before ,if you follow them at the bundesliga you will know ,this same Bayern first team wey mochenglabach win 5-0 and Bochum 4-2 ?

Liverpool have already sealed the game at the first leg bro ,and don’t make it look like inter got the red card earlier ,inter got the red card after they scored
Everyone loses sometimes, even mighty Liverpool lost to Aston Villa heavy then. Everyone has bad days. If Bayern catches you on a good day though, forget it.

Salzburg cheesy cheesy cheesy

I want mancity or Liverpool to teach Bayern a lesson they will never forget
Liverpool that Inter beat at home with a red card? Bayern Munchen is a machine, playing them is like playing against 11 Mbappes. All strong, fast, tricky, deadly. They are all athletes in that team, if you can’t run for 90 mins you can’t play them. Look at Sane at LWB today bombing forward to score goals. Davies is not even in and it doesn’t look like they are missing anything. Fear that team abeg.

I am confused… so if you take a rugby player to basketball and he flops you will say that after all, both sports involve throwing a ball abi? RB is very different from CB, the defending you do in both is very different and not all players can play both.

Sebastian couldn't cut it in the EPL he was essentially a flop.

But he goes to the Eredivisie and he becomes the highest goal scorer.
So EPL is better than champions league where he is top scorer too abi? Please.

Haller did not fit West Ham system is different from Haller was an EPL flop. Look at Osimhen and Lukaku struggling at Napoli and Chelsea, excellent strikers but struggling in systems that do not fit their profile. Take the same Lukaku you see at Chelsea to Arsenal, City or Liverpool and watch him bang in goals like no tomorrow.

Amoo can't start but Mukairu that joined the same time is playing all their games? Double standards.
My point is... I am an Amoo fan, watched all his games in Hammarby. He is very talented, but he is not ready yet. The pressure on him is too much considering how far he is from where his potential can take him too. A national team invite at this stage will not be beneficial to his development. He is not running away, when he is ready we will have enough time to play him and see his talent.

Nope. Osihmen’s case is totally percent different. Osihmen actually wanted to come and fought until the last bullet before he gave up. Dennis was totally happy to skip the tournament.

As per Dennis being the best we have, I totally disagree. Our best striker today is Victor Osihmen. And I will take Odion Ighalo over Emmanuel Dennis any day and twice on Sunday.

O pari
Osimhen didn’t fight to any last, players like Sarr did. Go read up on Sarr’s story and see how much he fought to be at AFCON.

Dennis is not a striker, he is a winger who can play anywhere on the front three. Why are you building a strawman argument? By the way, Ighalo can’t play on the wings and Osimhen hasn’t played there in a long time, so Dennis trumps both there.

Oh really? I thought that Iwobi is eligible since this is a FIFA organized tournament?

Yup, I was excited to see Bassey, Lookman, and Amoo on the list but that doesn’t justify the inclusion of semi retired players like Musa, Onazi, etc. And how in the world did select Shehu Abdullahi ahead Awaziem? I &mean, I can understand Ighalo’s invite but why are we rewarding a turncoat like Dennishuh

O pari
Say na turncoat Dennis. If Dennis is a turncoat, Osimhen is too for choosing his club over the SE and using COVID as an excuse.

We are choosing Dennis because he is the best we have. Nothing more, nothing less.

There is no midfield battle...Osimhen is coming..Ghana be wary.
Games are won in the midfield.

If you like have Ronaldo upfront, if your midfield is poor you will suffer. Ask Man U.

Our starting midfield trio of Ndidi + Onyeka + Aribo is good enough, but if any of them gets injured we are royally bleeped. Maybe Nacho can deputize Aribo at AM or we can switch to a 4-4-2 which we saw at AFCON, but the reality is we didn’t invite midfielders, even backups.

Ebuehi is injured

Awoniyi and Onuachu are big misses but don't think they are ahead of KC, Victor and Ighalo. Maybe one of them could have replaced Sadiq but it's the coaches choice I guess.

List is very good in my opinion (except for Shehu & Onazi)
Sadiq is in better form than all our strikers. 13 goals and 8 assists, that’s more goal contributions than Osimhen and Nacho combined.

The list against Ghana
Shehu in and Awaziem + Akpoguma out?

We need midfielders and they don’t invite Yusuf or Onyedika but invite Amoo who 1.) Hasn’t played for Kobenhavn as he is getting benched by a 16 year old 2.) Played as a right winger for Hammarby 3.) hasn’t played AM since U17 three years ago?

Invite Etebo who hasn’t played a game for months and is recovering from injury? Onazi, ONAZI on the standby list?!!!

I am satisfied with the forward selection, except Onuachu and especially Awoniyi shouldn’t have to miss out for an aging Ighalo playing in a retirement league. Onuachu has close to 20 goals this season ffs, Awoniyi has double figures in goals in the Bundesliga.

Very ambitious list, but you can easily see the loopholes and Egunje invites. Good list for the two games, is it good enough for the World Cup proper? No. Overall I’d give the list a 7/10.

BTW I’m not bad belle but I don’t know if I’m the only one that wants Ighalo to flop or get injured do we can see guys like Awo back. The guy has held us hostage for too long. I remember how I almost cried after that Argentina miss and it hurts that he gets picked because of “senior man” status above guys like Awo who is blowing it up in the bundesliga and Onuachu who is setting records in the Belgium league.

I have seen this play out so many times over the years.

Boreham Wood are in the 5th tier of English football and a lot of the players are part timers, it's more or less non league.

As a consequence, they may be able to defend and put up a fairly decent fight. But once you get to the second half and the last quarter. They just don't have the fitness to compete with a premier League club.

However, when it comes to the Championship it becomes a totally different ball game.

Not surprising, FA cup quarter finals ( last cool you have two championship sides in the last eight, which includes. Liverpool, Manchester city, Chelsea followed by Southampton and Crystal palace.

Tottenham, Leicester, Arsenal, Manchester United got knocked out by Championship sides.

There is no in other second tier in Europe that will have that level of quality to compete with first tier league.
Dortmund and Bayern were knocked out of the DFB Pokal by who again?

PSG with all their millions got booted out of the Coupe de France by, remind me, who?

I guess Copa del Rey finals is between Barca and Real Madrid. Oh, it's not, and one of the semifinalists was promoted from the Segunda this season?

Wow, the English leagues are really special, really unique. After all, Liverpool and Chelsea played the Carabao finals, not Bournemouth and QPR - unlike other leagues where actual small teams upset the big boys everyday.

Insigne and Fabian Ruiz have sent Napoli to the top ,but Napoli players are useless .

When I said many people Dey use sentiment watch ball here I said it with my full chest

Didn’t watch the game because Barca where playing ,I am sure they won’t rant here this night cheesy

Napoli players are useless indeed cheesy
They almost bottled the game if not that Fabian Ruiz is so good shooting outside the box.

Politano could have squared it to Victor for a tap-in, he went himself and missed.

Di Lorenzo got numerous opportunities to cross, he chose to recycle or try useless 1-2s and dribbles wasting the opportunity.

Napoli are not direct enough and it will come back to bite them.

Mario what? Mario Rui is one of the worst left backs I've ever watched and he's certainly the worst player in Napoli's first team

Stop capping and using sentiments to judge football

Napoli players are not ekuke

When he scores you guys will praise him ,suddenly he didn’t score against Barca Napoli players are ekuke

You guys should stop judging football like kids abeg

Osimhen 7 seria A goals has been assisted by Mario rui ,politano ,zielenski ,insigne X 2 ,Lozano ,Elmas

He has given them some pk also ,Napoli where poor against Barca home and away and there was nothing any of the teammates could do
The problem is not that Napoli players are bad, it is just that they are big bottlers. All of them except Osi, Koulibaly and Mario Rui fall apart uner the slightest pressure. They don't know how to fight, they just expect everything to go their way easy and every team to just play bad against them.

He is not a pure 9. Like Dennis, he is a striker/winger/attacker who can play anywhere across the front 3.

Scoring 4 goals in a game doesn’t automatically make him the starter. It is like the Politano v. Lozano at Napoli, they are the only 2 in their position and get virtually 50/50 mins. Chuks started the last two, Pino will likely start the next and then Chuks. It is called squad rotation.

Brilliant plays from Sadiq Umar. The Gravy is too sweet.
Like I said earlier, he is our second best striker on the ball besides Iheanacho. Look at the way he was spraying the crosses and passes like prime De Bruyne.

In all honesty whether he goes to La Liga or stays in the Segundo division he is simply not good enough for the SE, IMO.

Your club form gets you selected into the SE and your quality outstanding consistent performance keeps you there. His performance in the AFCON was abysmal and embarrassing.

We should try somebody ELSE.
Performance of a player who played 90 mins in the entire tournament and scored a goal? Clear bias. For your info, that is the best goals per minute ratio of any striker currently in the SE.

Unfortunately your opinions are inconsequential as he will keep getting into the team with his club performances, and with performances like the Tunisia game, you can bet your house he will be at the world cup.

Ronaldo is 37, he can retire now and nothing will happen.

Don't compare him to Ronaldo, compare him to his mates Vlahovic, Haaland and Mbappe who are adept finishers with elite positioning and tactical awareness. We know he is not the finished product, don't hype him up to be one already when he still has a long road ahead of him.

Sadiq is doing very well in this far from competitive league Segundo division.

After all his failings he is s doing very well he is number 5 in the goal scoring chart's . After all the opportunity he has had in better leagues where he was essentially very poor, maybe this is his level. This is his second season in the Segundo division.

Can he step up to a more competitive league , and be outstanding ❓only time will tell.

As for his performances in AFCON they were abysmal and an embarrassment.
You have changed now from himself as a player to just his performance at AFCON. Happy to see that Sadiq is proving you wrong.

By the way he is numero uno in assists too. Technically he is 3rd in goals as three others are tied above him at 2nd and 1st. His stats in the league clearly show he is beyond that level and needs a bigger challenge. His team is top and with him fit, will likely be going back to La Liga.
