All humans on earth would love to be happy, close to family and, live a contented and fulfilled life. Most times, we erroneously thinks more money will translate into more happiness. Most times, after all the money acquired, we find emptiness and depression.
You got your family, a laid back life, a fair salary package, and free house. All these are what a lot of people will give a leg and arm to get, there in Lagos.
You're about to give up to chase the golden goose.
The grass is not always greener at the other side.
If doubtful, start searching for housing and check the distance to your place of work. Compare and contrast your perceived expenses, family wise and individual wise.
N50k difference may not be worth the regret.

Nigerians are yet to discover how cheaper and better building with stabilised clay bricks is. Are you from Anambra state or have a person you could trust his/her opinion?
Maybe confirmation or negotiation with the builder who did that will convince you.
2.2million is enough to get you a nice looking bungalow.

I don't know if you'll read this, but yes it's possible, with stabilized clay blocks. An Engineer in my hometown built an upstair with 3.8 - 4m. I'll upload pics.

Stockholm Syndrome. Should I be happy that I gets power, and in that bid, also pay for power not consumed? Ironically, I have a company that got machines running on 3 phases and a commercial line Prepaid meter. I spends less than N10,000 in 3months!
I consume more power in my three apartments than my company!!
Ridiculous.
All thanks to Estimate billings on Analog meter. I'm better off paying a lawyer N200,000 for a lawsuit than paying N20,000x12months annually to EEDC.
It's far cost effective.

Yesterday I wrote to EEDC Ogidi business unit marketing manager, my marketer and EEDC headquarters on the crazy estimate bills they sends me every month, whereas I got good and sound analog metering machine (my fear is now that the marketer may come tamper with the meter and cite spoilt meter for bombarding me monthly with estimate bills. Took readings off them, to wait for such action and also the LAR dates on the bills)
I've had enough from EEDC. N20k monthly bills is just ridiculous.
After this, am going to a lawyer, if they don't do the needful and give me metered readings.
