You're misunderstanding.

When you're a new immigrant, you'll take these sort of jobs just to quickly get money flowing in. Why not take that job at a good organization where you can use that to your advantage down the line. And often, good organizations are easier to get into at lower levels. Lots of people do some version of this.
I now understand.

5. The answer is a resounding yes! Why? Because you had to train your mind and your body to the point that you now bench-press 90lbs. A person of similar build as you who DOES NOT train his mind and body to achieve that same goal cannot be reasonably expected to do the same. A person of similar build as you whose body is weak due to ill health or mental illness is likely not going to be able to achieve the same goal either. undecided

None of this is rocket science! undecided
Remember those type of jobs require little to no training.
Some can lift 90kg without training for it, some can't. Those who can't don't necessarily have ill-health or indiscipline, periodt!

Instead I keep referring to Nigeria to point out the fact that these same jobs exist in Nigeria and there are NIgeians already doing them right there in Nigeria even to this day.

2. What makes you think it cannot or should not when we are on the subject of JAPA? undecided

3. Again, the subject is JAPA... Nigerians moving abroad for a better life with that better being weighed against the life they are coming from which is life in Nigeria. undecided
Nigerians doing it in Nigeria don't have the qualifications to work a better job. Some do it well into their old ages.

But Nigerians doing such jobs abroad usually have qualifications for better jobs. They are only doing it till they get a work permit or something.

You can't compare doing a job almost permanently in Nigeria with doing that job just temporarily abroad.

You should only compare permanent jobs in Nigeria with permanent jobs abroad.

So, Nigerians in Nigeria who work the same jobs— probably under worse working conditions— equally do so at the expense of their health? undecided
You keep referring to Nigeria like it's a yardstick for measuring working and living conditions.
Nigeria can't even be used as a yardstick to measure standard of living and working among fellow third world countries.

If we are talking about US, stick to US. All those "in Nigeria" everytime expose your lack of arguing prowess thereof.

What has your body's weakness due probably to ill-health on your part to do with the entire food industry which employs millions of workers who work tediously all day and sometimes into the evenings to ensure people are fed? undecided

2. Again, what has your ill health and lack of stamina to do with the food industry abeg? My first job by the way was working the lines in a food factory. I stood most of the day and my body did not break down in the way you describe yours did. Even in the winter, we did the same job — wearing protective gear so we don't get wet and cold — and did not suffer any of what you claim you did. So why is your experience there which I believe is mostly due to your illness and possibly lack of discipline, the standard by which jobs in the food industry should be judged? angry
His body was reacting to unfavorable work conditions, you're saying "ill-health and lack of discipline". Is the human body created to be in those extreme cold conditions and to be standing for insane hours?

Even soldiers do develop health issues due to cold and some collapse due to long hours of standing on the parade ground.

It doesn't necessarily indicate ill-health or indiscipline. Some are just better at somethings than others.
I can bench-press 90kg barbell in the gym. Does that mean men who can't hit up to 90kg are indisciplined or have ill-health?

5.) Dishwasher - The problems with this are pay, how messy things can get, and frankly, the losers you might work with. Definitely be careful and wear good work gear (protect against slip and fall). And be aware that you may be working with losers from Central America and/or ex-cons. If you can find a gig in some local mom and pop in a town or small city, it should be an easy breezy job, but it won't pay much of anything. However, this job can be a good way to get into a good organization like a hospital or university. Those places prefer hiring from within, so you can ease into a far better position when you get training, complete studies, or get your qualifications evaluated.
Why would anyone want to start a career in dishwashing?

Sorry, but anytime I see people who want to pursue a master's in Accounting, I take it to be that they are ignorant or want to be in academia (very few people are in this group). You need to write ICAN/ACCA, then to ascend/diversify the career ladder or increase your earnings, you can move to CFA/CAIA or maybe an MBA (I find it worthless these days, I don't know why. I might be ignorant on this).

If it is a means to japa, well, you still need to do ICAN/ACCA as credits might be transferrable to the country of destination. But aside from academia, you really don't need a master's. And sorry, there are very few scholarships at that level of graduate studies because it is very easy to get a job after graduation (after certification).

Sorry for my words, that is how I am. I write anything that comes to my head. lipsrsealed
To qualify for USA's accounting licensing exam, CPA, one has to have undergone 150 credit hours of studies. A typical accounting BSc is only 120 credit hours, making one to have a deficit of 30 credit hours.
Some go to community colleges after Bachelors, while most go for Masters in Accounting just to meet the 150 credit hours.

The credit hours can also be gotten by doing an MBA with a major in Accounting. But this is a very wrong and unintelligent way to use an MBA.

ICAN/ACCA doesn't count towards the CPA in the US.

For someone that wants to:
1. Japa through study route.
2. Meet the required credit hours and get the CPA license.
Masters in Accounting remains the best option, though I stand to be corrected.

If you talk about PhD in accounting then, you'll be right as there's no much use of a doctoral degree in Accounting outside academia.

Thanks for your response.

As a policy, all PhD programs in developed countries including places like Brazil and Thailand are fully funded via tuition waiver with a stipend or a full scholarship. The most competitive scholarships, which are very few, tend to be at undergraduate levels since most universities make a lot of money, especially from foreigners, from that level. At master's level, highly lucrative courses tend to have fewer scholarships since it is believed that the ROI after graduation is very high. No one should expect a scholarship in AI or Robotics at master's level except the person is part of the 1% of academic achievers.
I'm thinking of MSc in Accounting. I'll start doing research about possible scholarships when it's time. But till then, you've got any tips for me?

This means future Nigerians who want to study abroad for their bachelors either have the brains to win highly competitive scholarships or have wealthy parents. David Oyedepo don get future customers because Ghana is too expensive, ditto South Africa. Although, better returns and higher quality in South Africa.
It seems all the scholarships are directed towards PhD candidates. Highest I have seen for non doctoral degrees is application waiver and a grant of maybe $3,000-$5,000.
That's what I've seen so far for USA.

Many successful Nigerian career women are no longer seeing the need to be submissive to their men.

Most Nigerian women are submissive because they aren't independent.
Is it a KPMG Audit Manager that wants to be submissive or a McKinsey Engagement Manager?

There are exceptions though, so not all.

I hate seeing the "stop comparing yourself with pornstars" advice.
1. Did he say he was comparing himself with pornstars?

2. Does he not have adult male around he can use as reference?(At urinals, hostels, men peeing by roadside, men passing with a bulge, etc).

My advice for OP, is that I can't relate to his predicament so I don't have any advice for him.

Why should he feel threatened? If they want to attack him, they all have their rifles, they don't need to disarm him before firing at him.

The rifle doesn't belong to him, he was given and it must be collected.

While due process wasn't adhered to in disarming him, he committed a lot of military offences out of anger.

By the way, what happened to the good old "aluta" spirit of SUGs of Nigerian Universities. Why are today's young undergraduates not politically conscious and revolutionary as it used to be in 70's, 80's and early 90's?
1. School management now rig in student leaders they know they can control. A SUG speaker I know was set up and impeached and he was replaced with a "management boy".

2. Intimidation. Schools now deny student activists access to their online portal if they're caught doing Aluta. Some get suspended, arrested or even expelled.

3. People don't want to stay longer in school. Strikes can turn a 5 year course to 8 years or more(Thanks to ASUU, SSANU, NASU, SUG, etc).

4. Many student leaders are there for the money and power.

This is why Federal Universities are increasing fees and are met with little to no resistance.

All these I know as a politician at the SUG level.

You're too freaked over sexual thoughts that why whenever you come in contact with a female your imaginative mind begins to picture bedding her. To stop this you may need to: Have so much sex that you'll get bored of those thoughts, avoid contact with indecently clad girls, avoid profane places like clubs for a while till u can handle yourself, or fill your mind with something productive each time.
This is the only sensible response to Op's post.
