I have being using my IGBO last name since i was born in East london for more than 30 year I had the same problem right from the very first day in college, at one point it didn't bother me anymore. There is no way i am changing my last name, to what? Williams? Hosford? Norman? No way!

When I changed it ones or twice to an English translation "Kings" everything went smoothly until i changed it back since then i thought bollocks! to them! The pakis and Turks are using their muslim names like Khan, Uzgur, Tarik, Osman, mohamed and Chakrabati so what is wrong with using mine. Fork em!

But sometimes they reject people for jobs not because of their last names but because they are born in nigeria or holds a nigerian nationality sadly. Even Ghanians with their Ghanian last names still get decent jobs...

But i think things has changed in recent years people are employed now in cities regardless of their last names or country of origin..

In Wales it might be different because they are still sort of bacwards.

This name changing y'all are talking about,is it changing it officially on all documents or just changing the name you tell people you bear?

Your surname, first name, last name will not denial you the authorization to apply for a visa for any country...

The consular is not required to learn how to pronounce your name... He or she only need to confirm the names on your visa application tally with your passport...

Then on your own part...as long as you can speak English and express your self... You have got no issue...

When you land...if you want, you can decide to give yourself an official English...

It's a marra of choice tho

My surname,middle name and first name is native.
You can't even pronounce my surname correctly as a Nigerian if you're not from my state.

It is a bad idea to have anything to do with a cultist, there is no such thing like a 'cultist with a good side'. It is all bad and will end in premium tears to the unlucky. We have heard instances where innocent people get killed by rival cult groups just because they are related or in a relationship with a cultist.

Sometime in 2010 my ancestral home almost got burnt down because my cousin was a cultist and a rival group had come to kill him but he escaped and luckily for my aunties they ran with their own lives in there hands.

Because of this i have cut every form of communication with him in the last 11years, and that is the best decision i have made.

With the way I see it, the girl is not a cultist.It's people around her that is.

Thanks babe... I had to tell her that I can't be friends with her anymore and despite the words she put up in her defence such as that she only uploaded the song on her DP to warn someone who is an Aye but was trying to outsmart her, and several other excuses, I still insisted that I was no longer interested in being friends with her. I really liked her before the incident because of how industrious she was but after that incident all the likeness vanished. She further told me in her defence that her bf, elder bro and people surrounding her are all Ayes but she's not one. I didn't even argue with her I just told her I'm no longer interested in being her friend because there's so much mystery surrounding her and it was difficult for me to predict her actions and that makes her dangerous. I'll miss her but my life is more important than friendship.

Personally,I feel you should not be scared as long as you have no intention of "messing with her".This is simply because she has a good side like you've mentioned.She isn't just a street babe.

I have a very big head and I like it that. And I am always quick to tell people that their head is as big as mine and we laugh over it. I read books and listened to loads of audiobooks on emotion and people management.

I stopped getting people to like me and become me

Went out more and made eye contact. Thanks to my job as a litigator and my ever beautiful DRS (with her husband's permission).

I joined several introvert groups on Facebook and learnt how to talk. Walahi! Introverts do talk and they are savages. Mostly beta kinda persons who are talkative if they are comfortable around you.

So, I started talking and joining arguments on stuff I have loved to talk about but normal people felt I didn't fit in. I stopped struggling to fit in cos I was me.

Listened to loads of podcasts and was addicted to quora. I still am kinda, unrepentantly anyway.

I burnt loads of bridges and started a journey on personal development.

Digested loads of all kinds of stuff on psychology and other weird stuff.

It's still a Journey, I am not there yet.

I have been assigned to manage bigger and more complex commercial projects this year and this will put me in a spot where I have to attend more meetings and meet more people.

Before I forget, I figured out a way to burn negative energy through youtube+gym. It always leaves me feeling better.
