It was nature that birthed the societal construct you're insinuating.
It can be traced to the early men.Naturally,men were stronger than their female counterparts.As regards hunting for food,women couldn't because they lacked the stamina required.As regards protection,women were too weak to defend themselves thereby making men face and fight off attackers and intruders.
Then there was the issue of dressing the game caught, preparing meals for the family,doing domestic chores,taking care of the children e.t.c in which women are capable of doing.This made women stay back at home while men go outside to fend for their families.
It was nature that made societal roles be ascribed to both genders!

What is logic?
Logic is the systematic study of valid rules of inference, i.e. the relations that lead to the acceptance of one proposition on the basis of a set of other propositions.
Now,a psychological research stated that the reasoning of a gender is incumbent on their societal roles.And men tend to reason based on know fact as that is what the society requires of them.This is something that isn't socially required of women.

Calling for better representation,equal playing field,egalitarian laws etc has nothing to do with being insecure.

Actually being against female enlightenment,empowerment,social,economic,legal and other initiatives designed to help the female gender and fight stereotypes is actually being insecure of female domination.It makes some men have insecurity issues when it comes to women and leads to lack in self esteem.

I don't see men or anyone as a competition so I am not insecure about anything.I am only concerned about helping and empowering my gender.

Anybody doesn't have to try so hard before female will get recognition.Was there ever a time when men came out that they want better representation,equal playing field,egalitarian laws etc?
Nature took it's cause already because they are more capable.
Females mostly acting under emotions while men making logical decisions devoid of emotions.....Where will the equality come from naturally?

Even if they know you won't win (because a man can handle the position better),you will still get the equal right to contest and be voted for.

The women who are side by side with men now,they distinguished themselves as worthy of contending with men.They were not screaming all over the place shouting feminism.They simply developed themselves like men, distinguish themselves to be worthy of the position and they earned it!
