After scheduling my K1 visa Interview,the confirmation came out with the old DS-160 number which I used in my B2 application some years back.

I already messaged support@ustraveldocs.com and support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com to see if they would rectify it.

No response yet.

Good morning , visa interview was today , and thank God I and my daughter were approved. Interview questions weren’t much , right after the security checks we waited for like 45 mins before I was called, a white lady interviewed us , firstly she asked me to take the oath on behalf of me and my kid, she asked who petitioned for us, how did you meet him?,what type of wedding did you have?, who attended the wedding (told her and she asks about my hubbys parents told her they were not based here), she asked if my parents attended (told her just my dad) then she goes on to ask for hubbys current job, his former job,then she asks for pictures(showed her then she further asks again that okay I thought you said your mum attended d wedding and I still said no, she goes on to ask where my husband stays in the us and how many times he has visited, and then I heard the magic words, wasn’t even listening to the rest , she gave me d white paper and I left. Thanks so much to everyone in this forum , you all are blessed

@ legit and all please I sake your advice. We received an email from the embassy yesterday and I make payment today at gtb. Please what is the next step to take? (Pls give me a step by step of what to do. I am a nursing mother of two baby boys and a 7yrs old boy. The stress is on me as I have no one around to help)

When do i book appointment for Medicals? Can I go for Medical before getting an appointment date?

On my profile page, I was asked of the receipt no, do I enter the receipt no and process to booking appointment ? I have not submitted my 160 form though i have filled and at reviwe stage but need to go to a cafe around to sign and submit so that I can get a print out once. (Been doing this on my phone)


If I don't get an interview date, please what do I do? As the expiry date is 18th Feb.

I noticed that the DHL Pickup Centre in Victoria Island is the only pickup centre provided on the white form given me.

I had chosen Isolo as my desired pickup centre as its closer to me. But I'm made to understand that Isolo is not applicable for Immigrant Visa. So I'll have to "travel" once again to the Island to get my passport. I had traveled there for my medicals and also traveled there for my interview. It's well

Guys, I was approved!!!

I'm so grateful to God for his mercies and blessings. The interview in itself was very brief. None of my documents or pictures was checked during the interview proper. Was just asked questions on dates. Questions like.....when did we started talking, when did we see each other in person, when did I propose. It was a smooth sail compared to the way others were grilled.

There were over 40 of us, but only 2 (that I'm aware of) were outrightly denied. Several were placed on administrative processing (visa wasn't denied though). They were given back their passport and requested to provide additional information before their visa can be issued. However many were approved at the spot and their passport retained for visa stamping.

Even though my interview time was short, I was there from 5am till 12noon. This is despite the fact that my appointment time read 6am . The reason for this was because they gave priority to family members with little kids and elderly so they gave them numbers before me even though I came before them. Also another reason for the delay was because only 2 consular officers were interviewing us. Before each interview, the consular officer will go through the file thoroughly before he or she calls the applicant. It was a tiring wait but a fruitful one and I bless God for everything.

My advice to those going for the interview, just be yourself. You have nothing to fear as long as your relationship is genuine. Your fiance/petitioner, who is an American citizen, has every right to love and get married to anyone of his or her choice, whether a fellow citizen or an alien.

So relax, your fiancee chose you, so you will get the visa. Just get all your documents and commit everything to God.

Please guys I need your urgent help!. I have a girlfriend (US citizen) in the states and she's visited me in Nigeria for 3 weeks in November 2018. This is actually our first meeting and we got engaged. After that she returns to back to States. I don't know if easy for her to file me for fiancee visa or i should file from Nigeria? Please what should be our next step. Please guys advice me.

Laugh, how will they think it's an arrange introduction? Is it not the same introduction pictures he used in filing for the K1 over there to proof for the bona-fide relationship.

He owns a company in aviation,he was contacted by United Nation to give quotations of some projects thats why he wasn't around.

If they think like that I dnt what to do tell them. Se they dnt know that in Nigeria we have engagement ceremony and Marriage ceremony. How can someone marry without spouse present?

More so, the introduction pictures is what my fiancee used to file for the petition over there. Thats part of what he use to show bona-fide relationship between us for the petition and it was approved.
Going to interview without the pictures of the introdution my fiancee used during the filing of the petition will look somehow? What do you think?

Will they still count that as Marriage with him not present?

I did absentee introduction with my fiance not around.... I have the photobook of the ceremony with me and part of the pictures were used by my fiancee to file for the k1...

Does that mean I shouldn't show them the photobook of the introduction?

I was quizzed in Dubai before boarding onwards US as well but nothing too serious. More questions than that of POE sef

For her to stay for seven days is not too bad.
How long have you guys been communicating before now? You need to save all those Chat Logs and FaceTime you have both done.
There some people that got their Fiancee Visa with just one visit. Some cannot visit more than 1 time due to work and school schedules. But as long as your relationship is genuine, you should be good to go.
Also, remember not to do any official ceremony when she visits, if you are going to file for the K-1 Visa.

Thanks alot. I'm 28 and she 27. Same religion. Problem is for now that's how long she can stay. Please you know anyone that has successfully got the k-1visa on a short visit between the partners involved?
