Get a room on airbnb cheap for 1 month and ask your host where is better district close to schools and universities, the cost of life and rent is cheaper than in Nigeria and 1-2 months rent in advance, not 1 year as in your country. Visa shouldn't be very difficult and do it yourself, don't use the agent
