Why shout out to only all radiographers? Are they the only ones that work with and on such medical devices? There are many more personnel working with such devices like medical technicians, radiologists, medical physicists to Name a few. Guy behave urself.

Why is he wearing a watch on his right wrist?. I thought having metals on the body is highly prohibited while taking a body scan.

only strictly prohibited for MRI scans but then again the Location of the said metal is important to note

Another reason the hand is above the head for abdomen scan is to avoid exposing the hand to radiation.

Watch the video. As he was moved into the gantry, repeated adjustment were made to bring his head into position and at the same time, his hands were on his abdomen. To avoid motion artifact, he could not have moved his hands while exposure was going on if it were to be abdominal scan. Secondly, how do you avoid the issue of zipper and hooks showing up in the abdomen if he does not remove his cloths? Do you know that even thick clothing like sweat pant and jeans will create distint contrast on your image? These are some of the things that lead to false diagnoses because it would look like there is abnormality there when actually there is nothing.

One normally just exposes the region of interest by just pulling the trouser down below the waist. But for abdominal scans his hands must be above his head to reduce artifacts or else the picture comes out hazy.
Since it was a head scan then they were probably looking for bleeding, infarcts or vascular changes.

For MRI no. But he is doing CT. That is most likely a head CT.

Also the device in the pix is obviously a CT scanner. One only need to see the wide diameter of the gantry which is common with CTs. MRIs have smaller gantries.

There are two reasons to remove any metal object doing scan; One is so that the anatomy is not obscured. The other reason is specific with MRI, since it is magnetic, any ferrous metal will be attracted to the magnet and will cause body injury and expensive damage to the equipment.

In this case, he is having a CT scan of the head. I know because if it was for other parts of the body, he must take off his cloths because of the zipper and buttons which will cover needed anatomy, resulting in repeating of exposure. Repeat exposure means more radiation to the patient. Google ALARA.

So, he is not suppose to take off his watch for a head CT.

Did u just mention ALARA? As low as reasonably allowed. Guy identify yourself and where u work.

Why not, is it about the dye used for tatoos? But the fact is that it would not affect the outcome (Final image obtained). The explanation is in the ability of materials to prevent passage of x-ray. Tatoo dyes as applied on the skin do not have the ability ( low osmolarity) to stop radiation from passing through them (attenuation factor). Look at it this way, if x-ray can pass through water, blood, fat and muscles, to get to the bones then tatoo dyes should not be a problem. Although some liquid can prevent passage of x-ray, but those are specially formulated mixtures.

However, it is still questionable whether tatoo dyes interfer with (artifact) MRI images.

The dyes dont cause artifacts with MRI unless you are talking about 0.3 telsa scanners

With his hands on his abdomen in the picture and the video, it is less likely to be an abdominal scan. Again, for abdominal scan, they will have him take off his cloths. So it was about the head or other structures in the heart like the facial bones.

The head is not rolled out. Besides that was just a pix before an examination. Also patients don't necessarily have to remove all their clothes before a CT scan.

Jesus Christ, did they say whole body CT? No one does whole body CT for an adult potentially healthy person unless they are looking for tumours. I suppose they just scanned his abdomen or head both not both.

so sanusi is scared to die cos his head would be the one to roll this time. He should relax, no one has interest in him but rather in NIgeria. As Long as he stays out of the way and hold his People back then he had nothing to worry about. Enof killings of one ethnic Group has happened and should no more repeat itself cos that is the only Thing that would implode Nigeria.

Hmmm... let proper investigation be done and any erring party found be charged and tried by the courts not browbeaten by security agencies with their penchant for endless detention.

If they need training then they should get trained on how to pursue investigations to logical conclusions. Finally it is not everything that should hit the news even when nothing has been done. For once they should present a finished job at least up to d point of trial...not every time they are seeking or set to.

what are u waiting for, when smoothies was introduced it was a life saver besides its cheap and can be made by anyone. Best thing about it is that one can experiment with different flavours. The ribena is not healthy but smoothies is, all you require is a good blender/smoothie maker. Believe me I know. My 2 yr old son recently had a mouth and throat infection that prevented him from eating. He only cried and cried and refused to eat. My son loves his food so when he stopped eating wifey and I knew it was serious. He was deteriorating fast infront of us from lack of food and worse he developed stomatitis. We started smoothies for him, intially we had to froce it down his throat with him struggling and screaming. We were able to replace all the nutients and vitamins he was lacking and as the sore in his mouth and thoat healed he started hunrying for smoothies. Now he requests for ithimself. He calls it smoooochies.

I have been following the so called Dasukigate and I am amazed how easy it is for a government to use the media to deceive and distract the ignorant masses. History has shown that propaganda remains the biggest tool of any government that intends to enslave a people. Unfortnately, even the current opposition has been quite incompetent in putting the records straight

For the records, there is nothing like a $2.1B arms money. It was a propaganda masterstroke well concotted by the DSS and EFCC to distract everyone from the incompetence of the Buhari administration. That is why former president Goodluck Jonathan has come out twice now to put the records staright that he never approved any $2.1B arms money. But it seems the ignorant masses still dont get it. So where did the "$2.1B arms money" headline originate from?

$2.1B was the monies that was allocated to the office of the NSA throughout Dasuki's tenure as NSA. These monies come under SECURITY VOTE. It was not money allocated to the purchase of weapons as the DSS and the EFCC have claimed. That is why they cant take Dasuki to court. They will lose woefully. Security vote is not money allocated for arms purchase. Of the whole monies that make up the $2.1B, only the $300 million from the returned Abacha loot was actually recommended for the purchase of arms. That is why in court, the charges brought against Dasuki was in that range. But they are likely going to lose in court for that because weapons were actually purchased. Whether they are worth $300 million is what the EFCC will have to prove in court. But from the way they have been refusing to follow the court process, one is safe to assume that they dont trust their own case against Dasuki.

But why did they go with the headlines of "$2.1 Billion arms purchase money" when they knew it was not the case? Because the whole anti coruption fight was only a propaganda stunt from the beginning. It was a well crafted stunt to distract the masses and persecute any dissenting voice so Buhari can fully consolidate power. Does that mean I think many of the politicians mentioned in the scandal are clean? By no means! Nigerian politicians are corrupt without a doubt including the presidency and everyone in the rulling APC party. The president's campaign itself was sponsored from corruption. The Amaechi corruption scandals are well documented with very strong evidence.

If Dasuki has stolen any funds, he should be prosecuted accordingly, but the media propaganda and charade has got to stop. Media trial is injustice in itself. I find it really deceitful when I see lines like "what will you tell the Nigerian soldiers that didnt have weapons to fight and were killed because Dasuki shared the arms money". That is nothing but propaganda and trying to appeal to sentiments to push a narrative. If that were the case, what has the same military been using to fight BH in the last 8 months since Buhari has not bought any new weapons? What weapons did the army use to push back BH prior to the 2015 elections? Did they push BH back with their bare hands too? Even Lie Mohammed claims BH has been defeated. With which weapons did the army defeat BH? With their bare hands?

It is important we put all these straight so we dont fall for cheap propoaganda by a government that has completely lost its way. The same government that claims they are fighting corruption came out with a terrible corruption laden budget where they intended to connect cables from the President's residence to the drivers residence with N300 million. In fact, the budget of yams was so laden with coruption that they had to shamelessly withdraw it.

The world has changed. If the current government thinks they will continue to rule with propaganda, they should think again because they will be exposed again and again. Thank God for social media and the Internet!
