Family › Re: Wife Insists That Husband Must Use Condom Before They Have Sex by drnoel: 11:21am On Feb 24, 2016
Kennydoc:
You are the real ignorant one, and you are damn irritating. If you have a real knowledge of contraception, you wouldn't have spewed the rubbish you just spewed.
Don't you understand what luteal phase of a menstrual cycle is? For crying out loud, I'm talking about the period after ovulation.

Averagely, counting back 14 days from the start of a new menstrual period gives you the safe period (luteal phase) of the last cycle. Even for a woman who has a difference of 5 days between the longest and shortest cycle, a fair estimate can still be made as to the possible days in which ovulation can take place.

And to make it clear to you since you lack detailed understanding, the issue of sperm lasting up to 5 days only matters if intercourse occurs up to 5 days prior to ovulation. In that case, we're looking at a woman with a regular 28 day cycle having intercourse on day 9 of her cycle. That can lead to pregnancy, since the sperm can last till day 14, in which ovulation would likely occur.
For an intercourse that happens say on day 16 of a regular 28 day cycle, or 2 days clear after ovulation, it won't likely lead to pregnancy in most circumstances, as the egg would have died by then.

I mentioned natural family planning done by Catholics to let you know that it works for many people. These are people who don't even use condoms, yet still manage to prevent pregnancy, even in unsafe periods. How much more couples that combine it with barrier methods?
And yes, I never said it works for everybody. I only used that illustration to make a point.

I asked you two questions: do women using Copper IUCD and those using COC pills bleed? I'm waiting for your answer.
When you're done with that, tell me the mechanisms of action of copper IUCD.

You clearly have inadequate knowledge, and I will advise you to seek for more knowledge. Don't come here and be yapping porous stuff.
.....and u expect him to answer ur jamb question shey? U get time. Instead of u to move on and walk away u are bordering urself.

Romance › Re: How Do You Feel Seeing You Ex Getting Married? by drnoel: 11:32am On Feb 12, 2016
obiorathesubtle:
the moment you 'ex' someone.. What is expected of you is to consider the person nonexistent..

I don't have the 'feelings'... Because there's no ground to feel.
give this guy a Million likes. No ground at all to feel anything. Though some of my exs that still have my contacts still call me I dont reply the gesture and feel nothing at all. Thats why they are exs. One mentioned once that we should continue where we stopped and I warned her seriously never to Play such games and blocked her for almost 2 years. She didnt try that nothing with me again.
Romance › Re: Why She Does Not Deserve That Bride Price by drnoel: 11:22am On Feb 12, 2016
DandyWalker:
Let me start by saying I have a number of female friends -platonic friendship, I mean - with different shapes and shades. Some I grew up together with, while others, I met through different avenues like the media, school et all - just like every other guy out there. As mature ladies, almost all of them have had their 'fair' share of relationships with different experiences that, if only they could add it to their CVs, would qualify them as 'veterans' on the 'job'.

From what I have seen, and from what they have told me, many guys have dumped them, and they have dumped many guys. A number of them have had up to 10 boyfriends/sexual partners, some have had much less or much more. Virtually all are in their early 20s.

The very bold ones among them have described their sexual experiences which sometimes include oral (cunnilingus and MouthAction) and even anal sex. Some have even had to terminate one or two pregnancies for guys who later dumped them or or in some cases, who they later dumped.
Yours truly, each time they tell me this, my body recoils in disgust. I wish I could help it. But oftentimes I can't but begin to imagine the sexual act: how the guy handles her the way he pleases, insert his hand-no matter how filthy- into even the most intimate place in her body , twists and turns her to mimic a dog, a monkey etc ,while she moans away..............

And this is not 1 guy, not 2 and sometimes, not 10!

From what I have seen, It seems to me my friends (the girls) are always 'on heat'. Because as soon as a guy dumps them, they jump at another, and the 'sexual circuit' is never broken.
The funny thing is, my friends have not done anything unusual , because that is what most girls do these days. It has become a norm, not an exception!

Well, Its a modern world-at least , that is what they say- and I seem to be outdated in the way I feel about them. But I think they would also agree with me that we should forgo the ERA OF BRIDE PRICE, because they don't deserve it!

Why do I have to pay for what some guys have had for free?!Why do I have to pay over a girl whose private parts still drip of the semen of other guys?! No tell me, why do I have to pay over a girl who has carried and aborted pregnancies for some other guys who had her with little or nothing?!

Fine, I know a woman has much more to offer than sex in marriage. But she has definitely reduced her value with those sexual escapades. All a man lives for is EGO and self esteem. She has denied me that EGO and pride over her, at least, not when many other guys out there know the exact locations of the scars and birth marks in her private parts............and of course her 'ringtones'!
Guy if u have phobia to marry her dont waste her time and ple dont join the league of despoilers of women. Leave her alone so she can look elsewhere but what u never do to our Nigerian sister is bash her. Thats where I draw the line. U have a mother, youve got sisters and female cousins. No matter what u have heard or feel u have suffered, nothing in this world, in hell or elshwere justifies your bashing our nigerian sisters. Our Naija sisters rock.
Romance › Re: How To Spot Girls Looking For Boyfriend At Lagos Restaurants by drnoel: 3:14pm On Feb 11, 2016
Naijasinglegirl:
I see them all the time in high brow restaurants in Lagos. Usually, they announce their presence in a group of four, three or two in some cases.
Guys reading this, you are part of the problem in Nigeria if you notice the first thirteen signs without approaching their table.

Here we go.

1. They pick the most visible spot in the restaurant to seat.
2. Then study the menu like they are studying for JAMB.
3. It takes roughly thirty minutes to an hour for them to decide an item on the menu they want.
4. And when they do, it’s usually the cheapest. Malt, coke, cranberry juice or orange juice.
5. They take a lot of selfies while waiting for their order. A lot of selfies!
6. They laugh a lot to nothing in particular…and very loud to attract the attention of prospective boyfriends seated.
7. It is common to find them laughing loud one minute and sober the next minute when they feel a potential lead may never approach their table.
8. Their eye lashes looks like they are ready to fly. Heavy makeup is the costume. Pushup bra and waist trainer is the dress code. Add a strappy sandals & ombre wig to that.
9. They are usually with power banks cos they know it’s going to be long wait. And of course, that time can be spent in achieving the next level in Candy Crush.
10. They keep staring around anytime anyone walks in as though they are human drone cameras.
11. They make quick dashes to the rest room every fifteen minutes to remind candidates seated that they are still waiting.
12. And of course, to retouch their lipstick and rearrange the foam in their bra.
13. Accent fluctuates between American, British, and pidgin depending on who is walking past their table.
14. When it’s time to pay for their drinks using POS after an unsuccessful outing, they pull out up to four ATM cards and contribute in fractions like church offerings.

Mcayofficial:
Please help me fellow nairalanders
I'm in a confused state of mind as I type this,I and my fiancee are planning to get married soon this year God willing,I'm presently out of the country, while my wife to be is in Nigeria,we really don't wanna exceed 200invitees in attendance on our wedding day,but here are some limitations to this:

1. My wife to be is a worker in a big church, where she's an active one
2. Her family members might not support this,as they tend to love parties from their end
3. I'm planning on taking her along with me to the country where I'm based presently,so as to settle down there, all these will gulp cash, and we are trying to be very conservative with our spendings as well

Please we need your matured advice as on how to go about this, our plans include church wedding, introduction, engagement and reception in a day...Thank you
Marry her in court and tradition in naija. Take her over to ur base and marry her in church. Then do ur after wedding party in naija. U won't be there to see if the money u sent for the party was enof or not. A friend of mine did this for his wedding and claimes he saved lots of money.

Just pull ur people on the ear and warn them severely not to go borrowing in ur name so as to accrue bills on ur head that u may have to pay after the wedding. Na that time u go see bills running into millions and ya eye go clear.
