Politics › Re: Deji Of Akure Gives Conditions For Truce With Eze Ndigbo... by drnoel: 5:32pm On Oct 23, 2015 |
Rooy57: The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, yesterday, gave conditions for truce with the Eze Ndigbo of Akure, Gregory Iloehike.
One of the conditions was that the Igbo leader is forbidden from wearing any form of crown henceforth.
Oba Aladelusi gave the conditions during a meeting Governor Olusegun Mimiko had with him and the Akure Council of Chiefs in Akure on the lingering crisis between the monarch and the Eze Ndigbo.
The governor had earlier met with the Igbo leaders led by Iloehike at his office.
Ileohike was said to have denied disrespecting the Oba and pleaded with the governor to help resolve the crisis.
Other conditions given by the Oba are that the Eze Ndigbo must apologize for his unruly behaviour in at least three national dailies and on air.
“That the Igbo leader must write a letter of apology to Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi and the Deji-in-Council.
“That the title ‘Eze Ndigbo’ must be reviewed and replaced with a non-controversial honorary title and that the Igbo Leader must comply with all the earlier directives of the palace.”
http://www.informationng.com/?p=326661 when someone wants to be silly and act like so. U help the person to the fullness of ur power. Imagine rubbish, u go to another man´s home town and want to answer king there. Igbos are proud arrogant people and it gladdens my heart to see their confidence but what is bad is bad and this one smells to high heaven. That stupid title should be expunged. |

Politics › Re: Hypocrisy: The Nigerian Definition by drnoel: 2:03pm On Oct 20, 2015 |
ochejoseph: 1. Hypocrisy is when you hang Stella Odua for buying 2 Bullet proof cars at an excess of N100 million ($625,000) and Praise Fashola for using N139 million ($870,000) for the digging of two boreholes.
2.Hypocrisy is when you abuse your brother for supporting Akpabio while you Openly celebrate Rotimi Amaechi ,a man accused of the same crime
3.Hypocrisy is when you want and advocate for the Rivers and Akwa Ibom RECs to be prosecuted while keeping mute at the Yobe REC whose receipt of gratification is well documented.
4.Hypocrisy is when you insulted the army and called them names during the Jonathan Era and suddenly become the spokesman of the army when your brother takes over power.
5.Hypocrisy is when you celebrate every bomb blast under the previous administration and expect those who know your antecedents not to X-ray your current Psuedo-Patriotism
6. Hypocrisy is when you describe then presidents visit to Chad as a trip to plan more attacks on civilians and your mentor suddenly visit Chad for the same reason and you suddenly see it as an act of good neighbourliness
7.Hypocrisy is when you describe the former regimes attempt at seeking regional help to fight insecurity as shameful only to seek same help 72hrs hours after taking office.
8.Hypocrisy is when you Promise young people #5000 monthly and feeding for School children only to blame an "empty" treasury with over 3 Billion dollars in excess NLNG payment as being responsible for your inability to keep a simple promise
9.Hypocrisy is when you describe Nyanya as a15 Minutes drive to Eagle square during the previous regime only to describe same Nyanya as a very far community because government has changed!
10.Hypocrisy is when you describe the unfortunate chibok kidnap as the most important issue the previous regime must tackle only to describe same issue as a distraction 30 days later because your man is now in-charge
11.Hypocrisy is when you hail Lai Mohammed for saying APC never promised to feed school children or pay anybody five thousand naira and you blame Olisa Metuh for saying APC is scam
12.Hypocrisy is when you hail Fashola for saying he never signed the cheques for the 78 million naira website and hang Akpabio for saying he never signed cheques as governor.
13.Hypocrisy is when you declare Amaechi, Fashola, Tinubu, and Kwankwaso innocent until proven guilty and declare Jonathan, Dezeani, and Akpabio guilty until Proven innocent.
14. Hypocrisy is when you condemn a man accused of stealing before he is tried and ask for empirical evidence when your party man is caught in the act.
15. Hypocrisy is when a media house goes in desperate search, sniffing for news of bomb blast as front page news during the previous administration only to for the same media outlet to place a blanket ban on reports involving Bombs because their "mugu" is in-charge
While not standing surety for anyone accused of corruption we must as a nation reject this hypocritical double standard by ensuring that anyone accused of fleecing the nation either directly or indirectly receive the same treatment irrespective of their political party or religious affiliation
May God Continue to Bless Nigeria and Nigerians
Shalom .

Romance › Re: Why Do Some/most Nigerian Girls Fall Easily For Guys With Cars? by drnoel: 7:23am On Oct 16, 2015 |
Djicemob: Am not here to bash any girl or anything but with personal experiences here and there, Inoticed my assertion above can be nothing far from truth. Some of these girls actually quantify the riches or standard of a guy with the car he drives... Or if he even has one at all. A guy with a car has half of the "toasting" job pretty much done easy for him cos of his car.
ONE OF MY MANY EXPERIENCES: I was at a garden around my neighborhood having drinks with friends when i saw this beautiful girl walked in,i called on her in the most respectful way i can but she acted like no one was talking to her,i stood up and walked up to her trying to spark up a convo but again she snubbed me(almost giving me the "talk to the hand" thingy, while looking at me head to toe).I left her site back to a round of mockery and laughter by my tipsy friends.I took the shame thinking "what went wrong", "Am i not handsome, charming or articulate enough"?.I noticed her friends came later on and it was excitement and laughter from them, whilst occasionally pointing towards our direction and the loser(Probably me)...I don die!
To my surprise, days after,i was 'driving' out of my hood when i saw that same girl,i honked my horn and parked right beside her. Before i could whisper to myself 'pls no more embarrassment from this girl!'...she stopped and was actually looking excited, she greeted me "Good afternoon" more than twice when i pretended like i didn't hear her the first two times.More surprising was, before i could say a word she immediately asked me(with a wide grin) "am i not the guy from the other day,the guy from the garden?" And am like "yea" next thing she started apologizing like her life depended on it. Damn! Magic! I thought to myself.
Note:I got to know this girl very well afterwards, she is 20 and by all standards not a runs girl.
I probably wouldn't have gotten her attention if it wasn't for the car.Smh!
Such a turn-off! sad but very true. All guys have the same story to tell. I know friends who used a girl continously for months by just changing cars and the girl never knew the guys knew themselves till they invited her together to a resturant where they told her the story of her life. The girl was so messed up she had to leave town. Its not the best but ladies change your ways and repent. |

NashvilleTN: Good topic,
I think some men need to understand the difference between leadership and being the boss. In fact, leadership is not the same with being the boss. Leadership is about service and being able to give direction.
As the leader in the home, you do not have to make all the decisions, in fact, a good leader should delegate some stuff and focus on the bigger issues. A good leader is also about communication - effective communication skills are very key in marriage. Most of the time, the way people respond to a message is dependent on how the message if sent. How you speak to your wife goes along way in determining how she responds to you. Now I am not saying you should beg and cajole your wife all the time, what I am saying is speak to her as a fellow mature person and with dignity.
Now on the issue of wives respecting their Pastor more than their husband - I will say a wife should respect her Pastor but her husband is still the head of the home and not any Pastor. By respect, I want to assume you mean the wife listens more to the advice of her pastor than her husband's advice. Only a foolish wife will place her pastor above her husband. I don't blame husbands for that, I actually blame the gullible wives and some scammers in the name of Pastor. No Pastor should get in between a husband and wife - it is wrong. If your wife is more spiritual than you, it is not a sin, spiritually does not necessarily give you leadership skills. They are completely different.
And as a leader you need to be firm sometime. Sometimes you may even take an unpopular decision that your wife and even kids may not like; as long as you have a good reason for doing it and you explain to them. all ur wailings happens only in Nigeria. When u go outside the country its another issue entirely |
