Romance › Re: Why Is It Difficult To Woo Guys On Nairaland? by drnoel: 3:18pm On Sep 04, 2014
3cycle: As a lady, sometimes I come across great post by a guy and I fall in love immediately. Most times I try to ignore the poster but I do Remember The username so I summon the courage to follow him and see if I can strike an online conversation before I send a pm but I never succeed. sad

Just yesterday a young tall guy on Nairaland from Enugu state gave me an all time blow when it was obvious I was trying to woo him, he started with iyanga and walah he ignored me completelyonly for somebody to call me names for making my intention known. cry
To make matters worst his response was "I don hang boot since last year"
Who says that to a lady bikonu huh

Do we really have gentlemen on Nairaland?
Can a guy reply pm's of a girl with an open mind?
What are the chances of starting an e romance if a lady were to be the innitiator?
Seun is it possible for us to chat with a nairalander without a third party involved?
If a guy has hung his boot. Then he has hung his boot. It's that simple. I wonder why ladies don't get that? ?? Guy are direct when it comes to hanging theirs boots. My one cent advice is brush it off and move, after all the wooing game was never easy and u can imagine what insults men receive when they try wooing a lady cos u don see some of am.

farano: Ok let me go straight to d point...lol tho not funny. This morning in a public transport, a guy sitting next to me was romancing my lap in a coded manner embarassed I was like 'wtf?!' Immediately the guy said ssssshhhhhh and handed his phone to me to enter my contact. I refused to collect the phone. So he wrote his number on a piece of paper and gave it to me and whispered "call me and send your account number too". I got very angry that I gave him a hot slap. What an insult! sad People were curious to know what went wrong. I didn't say a word and he didn't too.

Why do some men behave like this huh

Politics › Re: Group Wants Gov T.a Orji T Declare His Interest For Senate by drnoel: 6:48am On Aug 30, 2014
obinalihe: GROUP WANTS GOV T.A ORJI T DECLARE HIS INTEREST FOR SENATE

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, a political group in Abia state, PDP Stakeholders Network says Gov. Theodore Orji’s achievements have intimidated his opponents out of the race for the Abia Central senate seat.
In a chat with newsmen in Umuahia, the group represented by its state Chairman, Goodluck Ibem, Chairman ; Public Relations Officer, Marcus Ngozi; among others, the group described the governor as the most qualified person for the seat and appealed to him to declare his interest before the end of the second week of the month of September,2014.
The group further stated that it has adopted the governor for the position because of his sterling achievements which liberation of the state from family domination and idolatry remains the most outstanding.
“Gov. Theodore Orji’s achievements have intimidated opponents of the race for the Abia Central senate seat. As at today, nobody has declared interest to run against the governor. We are appealing to him to contest for the position because he remains the most qualified person to represent Abia Central zone at the senate in 2015. We have chronicled his achievements and enduring legacies in the administration of Abia state and have endorsed him for the senate. The achievements such as building of health centres in all communities of the state, empowerment of over 5,000 youths, construction of international conference centre, construction of new government house; among others, points to the fact that Gov. Orji has laid a solid foundation for the state. He is the Moses who will take us to the Promised Land. We are appealing to you to represent us at the Senate for more enduring legacies.”
The group threatened to embark on a two million man protest march in Umuahia if the governor refuses to declare his interest in the position before the second week of September 2014.
“We have resolved that if you do not heed to our request to declare his interest before second week of September, we will mobilize a two million man protest march and will not rest until he agrees to run,” the group threatened.
This is the joke of the century

Ogonimilitant: My friend from Imo state Orlu
told me in confidence that rochas is intentionally
borrowing money left and right to develope orlu
using Imo funds.

He said he is from Orlu. That the plan is for Rochas to
use Imo state Funds to finance and Develope their new capital of
Njaba state which is in orlu so that they will not have to use their money
to do that in Njaba state.

He said that was the reason why massive construction is going on
there using Imo state resources as he knows that the state will soon com.

Family › Is It To Beat Her Or To Ignore Her, Which Is Wiser??? by drnoel(op): 4:32pm On Aug 21, 2014
huh All the ignoramuses in the house, I greet u people. I am also one of u guys, in the sense of the fact that I am also ignorant of an answer to this question.

Pls a friend of mine confided in me about his wife. He said whenever he has an argument with his wife and ignores her for a period, she hates it. She also starts ignoring him till none of them would even remember the reason behind their ignoring themselves. This has happened a few times in the past. He said the last time she really upset him that he was so angry that when he shouted at her she slapped him so he slapped he back. He said he expected her to be mad but the next minute she jumped on him and as he was expecting her to rain punches on him she was kissing him huh
So my question goes, how does one handle a spouse like this. He asked me this question and I opened my mouth but didn't know what to advice the young man. NLer over to u guys.

Politics › Re: UK Embassy refuses Tony Momoh (CPC Chairman ) Visa by drnoel: 8:43pm On Aug 19, 2014
muami: The CPC Chairman Tony Momoh has been denied a UK Visa by the UK Embassy on the ground that he does not have an established presence or strong ties to Nigeria. Furthermore, he could not prove to the Embassy through a bank statement that he has enough money to maintain and adequately accomodate himself whilst in the UK.

No wonder he is very willing to join Osama Bin Buhari to destroy Nigeria since obviously he has nothing to lose.
