glo is now very useless in gprs provisioning since they quit using the OTA method where you send SMS and get setup automatically. bad move from glo.
Phones › Re: Sony Ericsson or Nokia - which is better? by drogba(m): 3:16pm On Aug 20, 2006
Nokia phones used to lacked so many advanced features during the days of sonyericsson t68i & t610, but nowadays, i'm sorry to say that nokia is now ahead of sonyericsson features wise. I used to be a sony freak for the walkman, battery life & p910 symbian touch screen and will advice you sony boys to go check out nokia N80, N93, N73, 5500 sports, E61 and E70. No sonyericsson is close in features except p990 which is currently plagued with bugs.

If you know someone that works in Mtel, you can ask them to help activate your line.
Phones › Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by drogba(m): 9:20pm On Aug 15, 2006
FYI, you dont need password or IP add for Mtel, just the APN will do. All you need do is activate your line, input the APN and start browsing, simple and easy.
Phones › Re: MTEL: What's wrong? by drogba(m): 9:18pm On Aug 15, 2006
Can Mtel send SMS to other networks, I mean MTN, glo and Vmobile?
Why don't you try talking to their customer care to activate your line for GPRS?

If you cant see a full blue triangle above your signal bar, that means glo hasn't provisioned your line for GPRS wap yet. You need to call their CC and ask them to provision your line for GPRS and MMS. If it's provisioned, you'll surely see a full blue triangle at the top left corner of your phone screen. Let me know how far ok.

Mtel gprs does not need any settings apart from the APN which has been posted somewhere here before. The only problem is how to activate or provision the line & enable it for browsing. i heard you need to know an insider in order to get activated.
