PoliticsRe: Does Secession From A Country Make an Individual Lose His Personal Property? by DrogoG(m):
emmadejust:
Hello nairalanders.

There is an arguement between my guy on, if a particular part in a country should decide or agree to succeed out from their original country.
That all individual property owned by people of other separatist will be lost to citizens of the other state/country.

My question is, does succession make legal property owned by individual lost because he/she is no more part of the other separatist country ?

Your detail analysis please

@ lalasticala
No. You won't lose your property in succession. You will only update the property documents to the new country's rules. This includes businesses.

You know, a new country will create its own visa requirements, resident permits, rules and regulations for businesses. No country rejects foreigners who have or wants to create business on their soil.

Unless the succession occured by war and the new enemy country is led by a dictator who is tribalist, you may lose your property. Dictatorship is not democracy.

But if the succession happened legally and amicably, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu And The Threat Of Political Backwardness In Anambra by DrogoG(m):
Afam4eva:
I will keep saying that the call by Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB for disintegration does not contravene any known laws so should not be treated as a criminal case. Even though i have reservations about some of his choice of words, especially in the past, i think what he is doing is a germaine attempt to rile the government of the day to take Ndigbo seriously.

However, i'm disturbed by his recent statement that if Biafra is not given a referendum, that elections will not hold in Igboland, starting with the Anambra elections that comes up in November. While i know him and his group will pull something simila to the successful sit-at-home order, which in itself is within their rights and also does ot contravene any laws, i think if he goes ahead with his threat, we may taking Anambr state and Igboland back to the dark ages. Because it might give some people who have no business being in government taking over government because the electorates did not come out to vote.

We may not be whre we want to be but the Anambra state government starting from Peter Obi now to Obiano have made some leap which we're hoping that future governors will consolidate on.

So, i want every right thinking Igbo man to condemn Kanu's statement and i appeal to him to withdraw his statement.
In a very corrupt country where peaceful protesters are sometimes slaughtered, what do you expect?

We're following lawful means to get Biafra. If we don't get it through peaceful lawful means, then we'll get it by force!

The thief will collect the 4bn in his dream! Saharareporters is located n a country (U S.) that loves what it does in exposing corrupt Nigerian politicians. U.S. will not cooperate. So this corrupt court ruling is a symbolic one. Saraki will not see a dime added to his loot and I think he knows it.

Nigerian justice system is one of the worse (if the worst) in the world! In a civilized country, Saraki would be in jail for his massive corruption!
PoliticsRe: Igbo Professionals Call For National Referendum - Guardian by DrogoG(m):
laudate:
Can you see your problem? huh You chaps lack the ability to be rational, as you lace each of your responses with an insult. Maybe, you were the one living in a cave, who knows? sad The IPOB chaps have been saying they want to leave Nigeria. Instead of launching the process by getting their representatives in the Federal & State house of reps in each of the Southeastern states to debate the matter, as well as their Senators, Ministers etc., to push forward the process, they are busy launching missiles of hate in the direction of other ethnic groups. sad

The Arewa youths only responded to IPOB's call for a separate country. undecided They are NOT under any obligation to conduct a referendum for your people. Even if you seek their support to conduct a referendum, it is not going to be obtained through insults, threats, hate speeches and condemnation. Ask your political leaders to kick start the process for you. No one is holding on to the Igbo. Ask them to just follow the process, instead of spreading hate. undecided
Firstly, nobody is begging arewa or whatever they called themselves, to help Igbos. My earlier point focused on encouraging the arewa youths to follow the peaceful legal means to resolve whatever problem they've with the Igbos. For example, I said, instead of them recklessly threatening to force Igbos out of the North (that could that a civil war), there's a better and peaceful means they could achieve their goal, which is by calling for a national referendum! Igbos are already calling for a referendum. For you to say Igbos aren't doing anything regarding the referendum, still reminds me you probably lived in a cave. Cave dwellers have no clue what's happening in the world around them.

Secondly, no other ethnic groups spread hate than Huasa/Fulani and Yorubas! No other ethnic group practices One Nigeria more than the Igbos, that's a fact! There's no part of Nigeria you won't see Igbos living peacefully, contributing positively to the development of that place and also marrying the indigenous people there. There's no Nigerian language you won't see an Igboman or woman speak fluently like the indigenous people because we're everywhere. This can't be said of either Huasas/Fulanis or Yorubas. That's a fact!

So, your false claim that Igbos spread hate, shows the level of your ignorance! If you look in the mirror, you'll see a hater and a liar.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Professionals Call For National Referendum - Guardian by DrogoG(m):
laudate:
Why should the Arewa youths join you to call for a referendum? Are they the ones that want Biafra? You people, sef.... sad
Because they want Igbos to leave the north! And they talked about having their own country too. Where you living in a cave when they published their letter?

In a country, you don't threaten a whole major ethnic group to leave any area of the country!! It is a call for a civil war. Every Nigerian has right to legally live anywhere in the country whether they're ethnically related to the place or not!

If these stupid arewa id*iots want Igbos to leave the North, it would be easier for them to join Igbos in calling for a referendum! That way, Igbos wlll not only forever leave the north, we'll leave Nigeria altogether to form our own country!

Hausa/Fulani and Yorubas don't like Igbos and still don't want Igbos to go! Let Igbos go!!
PoliticsRe: Igbo Professionals Call For National Referendum - Guardian by DrogoG(m): 12:07pm On Jun 30, 2017
Stupid illiterate arewa youths, if you want Igbos to leave the north, we'll be glad to do so legally. There's a peaceful means to achieve it without shedding blood. Trying to threaten us via a letter is a coward move.

You can't just force us out of the North and steal our properties you can't afford on your own, it's not the way. You people can't survive in any war against us if foreign powers don't assist you. Igbos of today are more advance in every field of life and very lethal.

As we Igbos are calling for a referendum to end this terrible union, why not join us to do it, so that we can all agree to part ways legally and peacefully? We don't want to have a country with you, that's why we've been protesting peacefully for you Northerners and Yorubas to let us go!

FamilyRe: My Wife Is Pregnant, I Don't Know If Its With My Baby. by DrogoG(m):
MemphisRaynes:
Hi, please I need honest and mature contribution on this matter. I love my wife so much, and I don't want to have a failed marriage, not so early.

My marriage is only 18months old. This is my wife's first Pregnancy, but I am having serious concerns about the paternity of the baby.

I trust(ed) my wife with all my heart and soul. She was away on a Job training for 6 months. The training finished on May 19th and we made love same day. She told me she last saw her period in May 16th so we both assumed she was in her safe period by May 19th before we made love. Actually we didn't want pregnancy or a baby yet because we are strained by resources for now.

My wife started complaining of strong tummy pain, plus her period hadn't shown up by June 12, so we went for a Pregnancy test and she was confirmed Pregnant. In fact the Lab attendant told me she is very pregnant. Days after I went through her chat while she was asleep and came across her chat with some guy, the chat was very suspicious. Actually the said guy is a Gynecologist, so she had told him she was Pregnant immediately after the test so as to get medical advice. In this chat the guy called my wife "luv", "dearie", talked about she visiting him, and my wife's response was to play along. At some point she even said she can't wait to visit the guy. The height of it was when the guy asked "how is our baby doing?"

I could not control my emotions after reading their chat, so I confronted my wife. She claim the guy was her best friend, that they met at her training. Actually she has always freely spoken to the guy via phone in my presence before this event so I had no suspicions until I read their chat. We quarrelled and she cried and cried swearing that she has never been with any man but me. She said she was heart broken I am doubting the paternity of her Pregnancy.

On June 26th, we were at the hospital for ultrasound scan and medical check up. The Ultra sound scan report says the pregnancy was 7weeks and 6days on June 26th. Now remember we first met on May 19th after about 6 months, also remember May 19th was three days after her period ended, she was supposed to be in her safe period. Now Let's assume she conceived on May 19th, between May 19th and June 26th is not upto 7weeks and 6days. Again I confronted her with these facts and she's been very emotional, she threatened that we must do paternity test after the baby is born to prove me wrong, she also warned that she will make my life hell after that test for doubting her faithfulness to me.

Please I don't know what to do next, my doubt is not fading because the numbers and events don't add up, I need useful suggestions please. Kindly note that I trust and love my wife, a part of me believes the baby is mine, its the maths that don't add up, and her chat with her Gynecologist best friend that keeps fueling my doubt. What is the best way to handle my situation?
1. The date number didn't add up.
2. The chat with the guy is a little suspicious.
3. A married woman has NO business whatsoever with having a boyfriend or male friend, especially, one that calls her "luv" and "dearie".
4. She asked for a paternity test and also threatened to make your life hell, if you confirm you're the baby's father.

My advice: Agree to conduct a paternity test. You've a genuine reason to know if the baby is yours or not because of the discrepancies in this pregnancy.

A good wife who is truthful would understand why you're worried and will gladly want to prove you wrong.

A bad wife who got herself knocked up by her secret boyfriend or unsure who's responsible for her pregnancy, will threaten her husband into submission and prevent him from knowing the real father of the baby! This may be what your wife did.

When the baby is born, conduct a paternity test immediately. There won't have been any doubt if she didn't behave suspiciously. So it's her fault you're in doubt.

If you find out the baby is yours, apologize to your wife and either buy her a gift or take her out or do both. But if you find out the baby is not yours, then it will be up to you to either forgive her and raise another man's baby or end the marriage.

I'm a married man and I love my wife. If she cheats (don't even get me started with her having another man's baby) on me, the marriage will be over!!
FamilyRe: My Mother In-Law Checks My Phone, How Do I Stop Her? by DrogoG(m): 7:58am On Jun 29, 2017
kekakuz:
Having a cool mother in-laws is something most people would like but its turning to something else for me.
When ever she is around, she picks my phone and immediately enters my WhatsApp messages.at first I felt she make a mistake but last night makes it the 5th time it's happening.

yesterday, I slept off in the living room and by the time I woke around 12am, I discovered my phone was not by my side. I searched for it everywhere and when I still could not find it, I proceeded to my wife's room to pick my wife's phone and call my line, to my amazement, I saw my mother in-laws on my phone.

I was angry at first but I had to control myself i collected the phone and I discovered she was in my email and Facebook messaged and she even knows my unlock pattern.

am tired of this but I don't want to disrespect her. how do I deal with this.
Tell her to stop snooping in your privacy. You also need to password protect your phone. Your wife supports what her mother does, then don't give her the password.

In marriage, you and your wife need to have each other's passwords in order to excercise transperancy. But in this case, it will be prudent to not give her your phone's password only IF she's supports her mother.

My husband just broke up with me because I am yet to conceive and he said he doesn't want IVF.
We have only be trying for a year plus.

This is someone I did a lot of things for and now he has abandoned me.I don't know how to face my family.I feel so ashamed and devastated.
God has really forsaken me... cry cry

How do I start my life afresh because I am so confused.
It is not going to be easy for me because I have invested so much in this marriage.I have done so many things because of love.It is really hard for me.I am at the receiving end.

Will I be able to pull through this?
You unfortunately married an as*shole who didn't love you. A man who really loves you won't do this. This is exactly what happens when people marry for marrying sake!

Depending on a couple's health, there are many options to have a baby. The IVF you mebtioned is one of them.

Even if you're barren, you can pay a surrogate mother to have your child via artificial insemination with your husband's sperm, as you won't want your husband to sleep with the person. So there are many options available.

Nigerian women care more about being married than being loved!

PhonesRe: Why I'll Never Use A Memory Card In My Life Again by DrogoG(m): 9:38am On Jun 18, 2017
Osaki07:
2 simple reasons I stopped using an sd card

Sd card (aka "memory card) also known as external memory, of course is a common possession among Nigerians but such is not the same with other countries as they use modern features such as "Cloud storage" it's like..unfortunately Nigeria is still a bit far from adapting this trend.
So in this post, I'm gonna explain to you the bads of using an sd card and hopefully convince you in using other easy storage option such as Cloud storage
so first I'm gonna start with the disadvantages of an sd card.

1. It makes your phone lag..
Have you ever notice or have ever tried comparing your phone startup speed? (that is the time it takes to power on or off??)
..well if you have ever tried it, you'll notice that you phone boots(startup) faster without sd card especially those with bigger memory size such as 64,128,256GB..that's why flagship such as the Xiaomi mi6 and even the upcoming Essential PH-1 are been released without sd card slot.. so the whole point here is to tell you that, an sd card could cause your phone to lag or probably hang..also take note that it might not be noticeable in some phones with advance and the latest processors such as those with "snapdragon SoC" or recent "mediatek chipsets series".

2. virus attacks
Of course almost everyone is aware of this ugly fact..sd card are very prone to virus and the only solution is to format it and in the process you tend to lose all your valuable data such as music, videos, pictures, e. t. c

so, yeah..that's all for now I hope you were a bit convinced
p. s :I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a memory card, all I'm trying to say is that..next time when getting a new device, go for those with big internal memory so that you can avoid the stress of buying an sd card and also the consequences that comes with it.
This is absolute rubbish! Either your phone is crappy or you bought bad sdcard. You won't notice any delay when including using a good phone and sdcard (class 10).

In fact, you can use the sd card to speed up your phone by moving apps from the phone's internal storage to the sdcard and install apps only on the sd card.

Any digital storage can be infected by virus. Like the USB stick, sdcard, computer and even your phone can be infected without a sdcard. So I don't understand why you specifically mention sdcard as if it was more prone to virus.

Even though, Nigeria in flooded with inferior devices, please, get your facts right next time.
