officialwdhtv:Sorry OP. This is fake. The real version was an audio recording. This skit was created combining still CNN footage (the CNN part was a still image with a false cut and paste news highlight bar which is why the news anchors lips did not move), the original audio ( available on TikTok and IG) and the skit makers video on the right. |
Mayor36:You do realize you did not refute a single point I made. Rather you helped me make the point that it is the overpriced iPhone price that makes the revenue higher for Apple and not the number of devices sold. You do also realize that you veered off topic I.e. iPhone versus Samsung and started a completed different subject on Apple’s AirPods sales? This isn’t how to make an argument and make a point. By the way, I use an iPhone, an iPad and a Samsung Note 20 ultra. Of the 3, the Note 20 ultra is more versatile and more usable. I speak from experience. |
Weirdoo:No worries. Thanks |

Jeffrey12:Biggest sale ? No. Biggest income in sales ? Yes. Biggest number of sales is still android led by Samsung until recent temporary displacement by Other android manufacturers. Look at the attached chart. Ingest income in sales goes to Apple only because they charge the highest price per phone ( of which Samsung still takes a cut LOL). https://www.counterpointresearch.com/infographic-q1-2022-smartphones/

Sonicroyel:While this is just an example from the iPhone 4, the trend still continues. I use this example because of its infographic layout. A picture speaks a thousand words.

Flamemignon1:Another thing that I always find funny. How can nothing beat a closed system environment that restricts what you can do? The only thing iOS has in its Favour is that because Apple controls both software and hardware then impose limits on what it can do to maintain system congruency. That is fine if you are a basic user and want simple functions you can depend on. However, most power uses and most people who want more freedoms in what their device can do would rather go for the open source architecture of android phones. E.g. I have seen Windows 10 running on an android phone. iPhones can never do that with their present restrictions. https://geekrar9.medium.com/how-to-install-windows-10-on-android-without-root-computer-cbbf45009ad3 I play PS2 games on my PS2 emulator on my android phone etc Each to his own. I prefer my freedom to explore. Ironically android features like split screen, multi share etc have now been copied by iPhones. |
Mayor36:You miss the point sir. I am not a share holder in Samsung and don’t hold brief for them. The point is iPhones are over hyped. The truth is no single phone maker makes all its components. However the irony here is that Apple is perceived as better than the manufacturer of around 25% of its components. Also you reference to Apple being more valued as a company than Samsung is irrelevant as that is not the bone of contention. The ONLY reason that is true is because Apple phones are over marketed as exclusive products and priced accordingly. It’s only in the North America (the same people that believe Pepsi is the best cola drink when the rest of the world Favour’s Coca Cola) that most people think iPhones are the only smart phones . Outside North America android rules everywhere. So if Android phone or even just Samsung phones sold at Apple prices, where do you think Apple would be. Be objective and reason am. |

shogotermies:You are well informed. But not just the screen up to 25% of iPhone components are made by Samsung including screens, camera, boards, and even ram sometimes. To pu things in perspective and For quite a few years now and depending on the model, for every iPhone that is sold, Apple has paid Samsung between 10% -30% of the sales value. That’s why I always laugh when people say iPhone is better than Samsung phones. MODIFIED DUE TO THE MANY RETORTS I GOT, I HAVE INCLUDED MY COUNTER POINTS IN IMAGES I’m done presenting facts. If you doubt them please use google.

KennieP:Largely inaccurate in my opinion. Any organization that has an MD who thinks standing by the gate to observe how I enter is being small minded and I would not want to work for such an organization. The tendency would be for them to be authoritatrian and invasive of my personal space and life. If I need to charge my phone while waking at an interview, there is absolutely nothing wrong with politely asking the secretary if I may use their socket to charge my phone. Also nothing wrong with using my phone while waiting to be interviewed: I could be responding to important emails or researching the company. The basic rules for interview taking is be polite and cordial and circumspect. Ask yourself how what you are about to do portrays you in the eyes of a potential interviewer. You will not find KPMG, of MICROSOFT Nigeria subscribing to these rules |
Fred166:Each to his own bro. I can watch a match and enjoy it but I don’t follow any leagues and I’m not a football fan. I have other things that excite me; things that obviously will not excite everyone else. I am by no means considered boring. I zip line, race cars, play video games, take weekend trips with wifey, travel to other countries to experience their culture, etc It’s actually parochial to think everyone must conform to you image of the world of of what men should and shouldn’t like. I think you should be more open minded rather than label people simply because they are different from you and you don’t understand them. That way you learn more than you know. |
Hello Nairalanders. Please does any one have any idea what working for Vfs global services is like? The job environment? Do they pay well? Time they resume and close as staff? Is it a toxic work environment? Do they work long hours? Saturdays? Any information anyone can share would be very helpful. Thank you in advance. |
Rozross:The question you have asked, in my view, is only valid if the basis a couple are together is JUST sex. That may be the norm for many in today’s world however the inherent error in with this type of thinking is evident in the number of people with less than satisfying relationships with their significant other. Sex is important in the monogamous and exclusive context of marriage. however, sex is not the only consideration. In my experience with my wonderful spouse of almost 2 decades, sex with your spouse is what you make it. There is really no such thing as sexual incompatibility. The main ingredient for a successful marriage is communication and it’s impact is also felt in the sexual arena. It is the same salt of communication that you use in relating well with you spouse that allows both of you to discuss each other’s sexual needs and desires thereby making each other more willing partners to fulfill each other sexually. This, in my opinion is a better way to deal than to be hopping from one vagina to another or from one penis to another in the hopes of finding a sexually compatible mate. This also removes the need for such experimentation. If you understand that your primary need is a person you can connect on a soul to soul level with, then there is no level you cannot connect on whether it be spiritual, physical, mental or sexual. Before you try to connect sexually, connect person to person first. The Bible preaches abstinence before marriage because sex is not a pre-requisite for a successful marriage. Sex is a unifier in marriage when you get it right. It is not the reason for marriage...much less a couple being together. |
Weirdoo:Hello sir. Can you do 150k? Seems a little on the expensive side. I just saw brand new for 218k at ICM. |

DispatcherLagos:Condemn the behavior and leave it at that. Why would you turn it into a tribal issue? Not only do you insult the people of the land where you have been accepted and are making your income (at least going by your moniker), you also inadvertently insult yourself because trays you may to deflect and blame the “afonja” as you refer to them, you cannot escape the fact that it happened in YOUR “village”. Who then in guilty? The assumed teacher or the person actually caught in the act? My advice to you: the loudspeaker of tribal sentiments deafen the brain. Do yourself a favor and avoid it. You only end up making yourself seem uninformed and unintelligent. |
Darkseid:Can you share the list of games? Wondering how many children friendly games are on it. Thanks. |
LordIsaac:I completely agree with you. But I think that is only because the fundamentals are not in place. I believe people should marry for love. There ancient Greeks philosophy had 4 basicwords for different types of love. Eros = erotic sexual love Phileo = friendship Storge = familial love Agape = love by commitment Most of us focus on Eros as a basis for love but in truth a great marriage combines all 4 types of love especially thr 4th type, agape. Libido will not always be high. You will not always see eye to eye and may even have terrible fights. You may hurt each other terribly. But in the final analysis what keeps you together is a decision to love. |
Stormtrooper11:The picture is not close enough to check the identifying marks of the 1947 variant of the kalashnikov family. I think I spot some variants there with modern clip ons which are obviously not old enough though. |
Godoverevery:Dear OP, Saw your post and knew there would be a lot of negative comments. The subject you have touched on has no simple answers but rest assured that some of use are enjoying our marriages. Unfortunately there is a lot of misconceptions about what a marriage is and should be and the majority of naysayers got into marriage for the wrong reasons and without a good foundation. It’s not about money though money is important. Igot married with a salary of 25k over a decade ago. My wife was making x10 of that yet stood by me and married me all the same. Now I make make much much more than her but our finance dynamics have not changed. It’s not about sex though sex is important. We were celibate till our wedding night. That was our fidelity test. If one cannot hold body before marriage, it’s not marriage that will magically make you develop the disciple and integrity to push away temptation after marriage. It’s not about tit for tat or competition. We both work hard at giving our marriage 100%. Not all this 50:50 that people talk about nowadays. It’s a risk but true love will always be a risk. People will call you mugu but which one is better? Be a mugu and enjoy your life and marriage or join the caliber of men running to beer palours to avoid going home early because of marital issues. We still both have fun and catch our trips however we can. Date nights. Movie nights. Time out without the kids. Etc. Don’t get me wrong. We have had out challenges but the point is we weather storms together and our marriage gets better for it because we support each other. There’s more I could say but I don’t have the time so let me try to end with this. A marriage, ideally, is union of 2 equal parties (preferably friends) where both enter as a partnership where both are equal and respect each other as such nut both have different responsibilities and respect each other place. Shared outlook on life and shared values are important. I don’t club but I know married couples that club together even after kids. I'm a church boy with an adventurous streak and my wife participates in my fun loving activities with me while I participate in her sedate little pleasures with her. In all of these, communication (deep open and vulnerable conversations and not giving orders) and intimacy (a mental and spiritual connection NOT sex) are key. A great marriage is heaven on earth. A bad marriage can be hell. I hope this helps. P.S. Before the naysayers come for me, we have been married for close to 20 years , have loads of kids, don’t live in Lekki, don’t come from money, and work hard for what we have. |
sollolucci77:Depends on the kind of wife you married. |
humberjade:The criminal justice system doesn’t work that way. In Nigeria and in the rest of the civilized world, some time is allowed between a death sentence and the execution of the death sentence To quote Amnesty International, “ Execution is the ultimate, irrevocable punishment: the risk of executing an innocent person can never be eliminated. Since 1973, for example, more than 184 prisoners sent to death row in the USA have later been exonerated or released from death row on grounds of innocence.” |
bmdmix10:When we say there is no such thing as a soul mate they will vex. The concept of a soul mate is derived from Greek mythology which believed amongst many things that a soul was cleaved into 2 parts, a male and a female part, before release to the earth. The problem with the myth is that the mathematical probability of meeting your own particular soul mate is slim and once even 1 person mistakenly marries the wrong soul, it has a multiplier effect on other souls looking for their own soul mate. If just soul X marries the soul Y mistakingly, it means that soul Y’s soulmate will no longer have access to soul Y and will have to marry would Z meaning soul Z’s soulmate will have to marry soul A and the disruption and confusing goes on for all eternity. This is just what happens if the wrong souls marry. What about souls that die prematurely. Their souls mates are either doomed to walk the earth without companions or end up with someone else’s property. Soulmates are a myth |
