When Sarah says that all men are rapists people think she hates men not knowing she's speaking the facts.
I challenge anyone on this forum. I give you from now till the last day of this month. Post a news article of rape case involving a Nigerian woman as the culprit and I will empty my bank account for you
All of you claim Nigerian women also rape and yet none of you has ever posted a picture or video evidence here.
Check out sapphiere profile. 90% of the threads there are Nigerian men raping women and their fellow men with pictures and videos proofs. I hope you watched to video and saw that it was not rape but consensual sex between minors? Women fighting for women’s right should be careful to verify fact before speaking otherwise they sully their own integrity and foot themselves in the foot. Just my advise. |

Realmi: Lagos cannot and will never be compared to Dubai
Even from their airport, landing in Dubai at night, is like landing in paradise ( the whole country is lite)
Landing in lagos at night is like landing in hellfire( the whole country is in darkness)
For those asking me if hell fire is dark....I am talking about the heat,, the hot weather....
As for the darkness, we all know that Nigeria is dark naturally....even with the darkness PHCN go still take light
Lagos cannot be mistaken for Dubai at all...
It is in lagos that all the tall buildings in marina, VI will be decorated with light only for Christmas period ...from 7th or 31st of Jan, they will turn off everything Wen u go to lounge at night in lagos, na only inside the lounge dey lite up....immediately u leave the lounge, na darkness, the whole street will be dark...that is why people can and do all sort....because no street lights
Abeg the matter long.... Oga. Quit hating. She is not comparing Lagos with Dubai. She is simply seeing the beauty in Lagos that you refused to see |

lordaltruist: Dear Nairalanders,
I got this job in 2019 and it turns out that now I am the only male senior staff except from the security guard. Way back in 2019 there were 2 other guys but they left in 2020 after our company transferred to a different location and since then, I have been the only male staff other than the security guard whose job is not in internal affairs.
She is actually my senior colleague and way older than myself but over the past year and some months now, we have been so friendly though we don't discuss relationship together or talk anything boyfriend and girlfriend together but something seems to be odd in her look whenever I talk about a girl likewise myself I felt odd when she talks about a guy she flirted with.
In my office every other staff have a nickname for us both even my boss was the one who initiated the nickname because of how close we are and even though I nurse getting under her skirts, I do not have yet the muscle to tell her that and lately I am beginning to like her more as we share everything about ourselves.
I have been to her house and can go to her house at anytime and she was the one who persuaded me to return to the company after I didn't want to return when it relocated and also convince my boss to retain me; sometimes she buys me food in the office likewise myself and always like to have me around her like working together and whenever she needs assistance over a job, she will want me to be the person to help.
I notice she and my other female (married) colleague who work in the same department with us had almost had squabble because of whom I should be assisting and since she's the most senior colleague she won over that one.
She is very single and above her 40s but I don't mind as age does not define my relationship and right now I am growing so fund of her in a way I can't stop imagining and I need your advise on how to relate my feelings and make her confess hers to me.
All criticism and advise will be duly accepted. Simple..You don’t |

God1000: Chinese engineers have built amazing infrastructure across China with their expertise, but what baffles me is the crummies they often construct for us in Nigeria, you won't see such in their homeland.
Who do we blame here? Maybe our leaders because it's the amount of money they award some of these projects and they will still embezzle part of it. Sorry sir but your assertion here is inane and not practical. To build bridges, submissions and proposals are made based on need, the budget, the landscape and environment and so on. It is not based on what they build in their country. Let’s stop all this government bashing because it’s convenient. I’m not saying we have a good government but we have developed the habit irrationally blaming the government for every silly little thing. No matter how,Uchenna we blame the government, we forget that we are the people that make up the government. Every time you gave preference to your kinsman over somebody else simply because he is your kinsman OR every time you gave money to PHCN to reconnect you line even though you are owing PHCN bill OR every time you went to KFC and walked to the counter like the queue didn’t exist YOURE DOING THE SAME THING WE ACCUSE POLITICIANS IN ABUJA OF DOING….only on a smaller scale. Meaning when you get to Aso Rck you will do exactly the same thing. When we the individuals change, Nigeria will change. |

Tabithatim: Come and see o! A particular loan app in this Nigeria has been threatening me over a loan that isn’t due, out of 6 instalments I’ve paid 3 and now just some hours after the 3rd instalment is to be paid they’ve started sending me threatening messages and even had the guts to contact people on my contact list that I’m late on my payment. This is so wrong!!
So in July I took out a loan of 150k to pay back in 6 months, they gave me their rules and how I’ll pay it (make I no even talk the big interest rate way dem give me, that one one na topic for anoda day). After confirming my loan on the 2nd of July, it took 4 days for the money to reflect in my account after many stories and mails to them. Can you imagine that these guys have been debiting me on the 2nd of every month claiming that’s when my loan was approved and it’s from my end there was a delay. That’s so unprofessional and mean! I’ve tried to speak with someone on their end but nothing…they’re just speaking English. I don’t know how to report them. Now they’re threatening me even though they’re the ones at wrong.
Most of these loan companies don't care about you or your reputation o. They will promise you heaven & earth everything join with sweet words, they will trick you with social media ads only to lure you in and torture you.
I just tire. I’m soooo pained that I even had to take a loan in the first place and this is what they’re putting a customer through. Na only to dey dirty people name them sabi all these loan apps are one kind and maybe even fraudulent cause not only is their interest rates too high, they shouldn’t be allowed to threaten people at all even if they’ve missed a payment date; it’s just wrong. Is this how all loan apps are? What can I do? I heard FairMoney and some other loan apps are better? Lucky you. They have done at least 2 things which you can sue them for and make some money as well. 1. Breach of contract 2. Breach of data privacy laws Talk to a good lawyer and find out your options. Industry regulators fined one such company 10 million for exactly what they are doing to you. An MTN user also recently sued MTN over categorically similar circumstances around a N50 deduction and won N5 million plus legal fees. It’s high time we start meeting madness with force. Good luck, sir |

sorry for the long post. Mods please help this thread to front page for more advice I understand what you are going through and can imagine your struggle. However, as a physician in Nigeria, I have to draw certain things to your attention. 1. Euthanasia can only ethically be carried out at the request of the patient (your father) not you the caregiver. 2. You, unilaterally deciding to end his life, even if he is suffering is not euthanasia. It is murder. 3. Euthanasia is not legal in Nigeria. Please talk to your doctor about depression but I would recommend caution in discussing what you posted above, lest you be accused of killing your father if he passes on. |

Myer: Be honest, how many times have you "heard from God" and it was a miss? You miss the point. It’s not about the number of times. Like I mentioned previously it is a growth process and no one is a master at it. All who believe this way will readily tell you there are moments you miss it. But we get better at it the more we put it into practice. Paul described it in the epistles as “ by reason of use”. And I can understand why you would use a simple hit or miss methodology to this. And would, from the outside looking in probably have applied the same. How ever, hit or miss does not account for the highly specific “hearings” I can testify to (which of course you will probably mock or disparage as being lies; they remain my experience all the same) - knowing who my wife would be - knowing my kids gender - knowing I was healed from a cancer report without any medical intervention before the results came in (years ago and I am still here) - knowing an associate was going to get pregnant and have a baby boy after we prayed about it I lay no claim to any unusually special place in God’s heart. This is something any of His children can benefit from. But it is not by force. You either believe or you don’t. Like many things in life, it a choice. Just don’t fall into the unfortunate trap of being condescending and taking a mockful stance because you of something you don’t understand and don’t want to. |

FYI, the Catholic church collated what should and shouldn't be part of the bible for you from over a thousand scrolls. So you don't know better about it than they do. Another error on your part sir. The Catholic Church did not hand down Christianity. Though a part of its modern history, they are not its caretakers. Recheck your history. I am not here to argue as you have clearly decided this is a fight with your rather vehement retort, so I will leave you be. Believe what you will and I will do the same. Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Adeboye: Why God Stopped Talking To Me by drphantom: 10:41am On Sep 06, 2021 |
Myer: This is a subtle attempt to keep believers hoping that if God can be speaking to Adeboye then they should keep hope alive that they will also start hearing God. I remember when I was also praying to hear from God.
People hear their thoughts and attribute it to God speaking to them. When what they hear in their thoughts works out they say it is God/Holyspirit. But when it doesnt work out they say they didn't hear God but it was self talking to them.
How many times have guys claimed God told them you're their wife? Or a ladies claimed God revealed that a guy they liked is their husband?
If people truly heard God by now they would have heard the mysteries behind the problems plaguing the church, individial families, and even Nigeria and the respective solutions.
Not mocking the dead but Adeboye or his daughter-in-law did not even hear God tell him hat his son would die. None of them did. But he was hearing God telling him about traffic in Lagos.
Hearing God should be a gift for all Christians yet not one can be confirmed to hear God especially on crucial matters. All we have are predictions that either come to pass or fail.
What differentiates predictions from hearing God is the depth of mystery being revealed. Not anything that can easily be guessed but actual something no one else could know being revealed. Hearing From God is a benefit of being in a relationship with God and as you correctly pointed out should be a gift to all Christians. It actually is and like I pointed out in my comment 1 step above, the reason many Christians fall short of it is not developing that side of themselves through study of the Word and prayer. I know literal hundreds of Christians who hear from God regarding their personal issues and I can give numerous personal example but this is not a competition but a matter of faith. You either accept this based on faith in what God has said in His Word or reject it based on rational but limited human thinking. Either way, you will get what you accept and believe in. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Adeboye: Why God Stopped Talking To Me by drphantom: 10:33am On Sep 06, 2021 |
pafo: I don't know how these Pentecostal pastors do it but even the Pope doesn't claim to hear from God. How do they do it? This has nothing to do with Pentecostal pastors. According to the Bible, EVERY believer can and is meant to hear from God. At its most basic and concrete level, the “hearing ” is direct instructions from the Bible aka the Word of God. At a deeper level borne of relationship with God (keeping in mind that God is spirit), the hearing is from God to our human spirits. The simple reason many don’t hear from God is because they have not learned to develop their spirits. We are too used to living in the physical because it is more tangible. This is not bad and is a fact of life. However, for the Christian, who’s spirit has been reborn (aka being born again) his spirit has a connection to the Spirit of God and if the person focuses on developing his spirit he can likewise hear directly from God. This hearing is not a download of all the knowledge of the universe. It is a matter of hearing what God decides to tell you |

thesolutions: The doctors are doing well. It is the money first before the lives. But they have no fault for choosing a country that gives them assurance and removed every doubt of them having to protest or go on strike before they will be paid. Such a working environment makes saving lives a hobby with ease. I beg to differ. Why do people forget that doctors are human beings too? We have bills to pay. We too have relatives to support who throng to us because they assume that as doctors we make jumbo pay. We have friends and family who have chronic illnesses too who come to us because we are doctors and for whom we will probably pay for their treatment or at least buy them the very drugs we recommended because they cannot afford it. We have too have aspirations for a better life while slaving away at multiple jobs to make ends meet. Go and ask any doctor you know personally how he acquired that car you are admiring and you will hear the story of closing from one job at 5pm to go and start another full time employment at 6pm. This is not an excuse for bad behavior, but this is often why many doctors (and other healthcare workers) you meet in public hospitals are often ill tempered and rude. They managed of hectic life styles to get their degree only to finish and discover the same cycle of long hours of work and little sleep continues but now with the added realities of life fending for themselves. They will finish work and still go and do locum somewhere else out of necessity not greed. Cut us some slack. Or don’t even bother. As long as you continue to blame doctors for wanting the same quality of life you aspire to, the easier you make it for doctors to leave our healthcare sector without feelings of regret, after all even their fellow citizen blame them for wanting a life. Many of us have been here slaving away and suffering in silence for years and you apparently think that is okay. Issokay o. Kwantinu. |

After reading more on the internet i noticed that medicine and surgery is stressful and needs a lot of serious dedication to succeed, from my finding you can be expelled if you fail twice or when you are not able to meet up to the expected standard.i need to be careful because i don't just want to make a wrong decision in my life since am the one sponsoring myself..

I have 200 k in my account for a start.. for accommodation i live with my Aunt.
I have free accommodation, food and enough time,
please with all this is it possible to concentrate and succeed if i decide to go for medicine and surgery ? Your advice will be highly appreciated. I laughed when you said you have enough time. You may be able to handle both while you are in preclinical school (even that is debatable because you will have long hours of courses and practicals and a long reading list of big textbooks…but it is possible. However the moment you cross in the clinical school, you are not likely to have the time. Clinical medical school is a full time job disguised as being in school. You will go from (in no particular order and. On a daily basis) class to ward round to class to practical to clinic attendance to patients bed side to take history and examine to discussion groups etc. Your day doesn’t really end since patient care does really end. Side step the process and you are guaranteed to fail a course when the failure rate is already high. The discipline of medicine is a studentship, an apprenticeship and a mentorship. I guess you could moonlight your other ventures but you must be of a strong constitution to finish your daily activities as a medical student and still have time for the other stuff. Perhaps you could consider downplaying the non medical things without shutting them down completely till you graduate. P.S. You also risk being termed an unserious medical student and being failed outrightly by your teacher if they discover you have a full time business outside medicine. In order for them to pass you, the law obligates that they find you “worthy in both learning and character” and they take that responsibility very seriously as we deal in human lives. I hope this helps P.S. If you want still in plus your side hustle avoid the following medical schools… Ibadan OSUTH Ife. They are exceptionally tedious and intensive |
