In answer to the obvious question my position raises, because man is spirit , soul and body, it becomes immediately obvious that a sleep paralysis episode involves a man’s spirit since there is consciousness though the body cannot move. This in my opinion makes it spiritual.
In some other cultures and in some occultist paratices it is linked to astral projection and trancedental meditation (look it up).
This makes spiritual not necessarily a spiritual attack.
