GAZZUZZ:Which engine are easy to rebuild block engine or Aluminum engine.. |
GAZZUZZ:Am sure that is why Dana imports them directly from Korea .... |
GAZZUZZ:The ones built for the African are built for a reason bro.. Anything built for the African market we know they don't last long... those cars are cheap for a reason |
[quote author=chillex8 post=97346512]Can I forward my banking details to you for instant credit of 10k. I intentionally left you to confirm the prices yourself. P.S Those 1.6L engines were built to last forever [/quote Yes forward your account details... |
GAZZUZZ:1.6liter are not rebuiltiable engine ... I will not used them there is reason why nobody buys them |
chillex8:Update .... So I called my dealer he said that 1.6l is 500k and the USA 2.0 is 150k (2.0liter was 150k naira when naira was at 360) .. 2.0liter is used by other Hyundai cars like Tucson and some other SUV ,which I can't remember. The USA 2.0liter is block iron which is much stronger.... He stated that those engine come from Korea ,Singapore, this is my update so far ,I will need to do my finding before I concluded and I will get back to you on the forum. For a 2.0l engine that still cost 150k naira from two years till now is very surprising. By Friday I should conclude on my final findings ......... It is not over yet till is over Final Conclusion... I spoke to a mechanic that fix Hyundai is name is Oluwaseun .. He stated that 1.6liter engine are expensive because nobody wants them The engine is not durable and rebuiltiable like the 2.0liter .. If you have to source for the parts you have to order them for Korea.... He stated these cars with 1.6liter engine are brought brand new by a particular company in Nigeria, once these cars breaks down it is over for the car ...he stated that USA version of these African built cars are stronger and have a second hand value..... The 2.0 has a block engine compare to the 1.6l aluminum Engine.. He advised against getting them and stick to USA version Korean cars .... And he stated 2.0liter engine is cheaper because of the huge demand and USA Korean spec cars are a lot in Nigeria |
chillex8:Deal bro |
chillex8:Deal ..... |
chillex8:No problem.... So the challenge here is dru23 says that the Elantra engine 2.0liter engine is more expensive and built better than the 1.6liter engine that was built for the African market..... So we agree now that is what the challenge about..... 0803 378 8932 this number is Mr.Okeye in ladipo he deals with Hyundai parts only, anything korea cars he has it .... So you can call him ..... |
chillex8:Keep in mind the Elantra was design to compete with Corolla, in terms of fuel and durability there is not much difference in the two .. |
chillex8:Do u want to bet ....1.6L is junk and cheap.. They do not last at all .. We can 10k naira if u want |
chillex8:There are not expensive at all .. There is no demand for them |
chillex8:For elantra engine ,the African built are the worse ones.. They are more cheaper than the USA built ..USA elantra engines are 2.0liter and the ones built for African market are 1.6liter .... 2.0liter is stronger ... I will call my elantra part dealer and let u known.... Elantra or Hyundai are built in India for the African market |
chillex8:From experince I totally disagree, we can agree to disagree ....... When we talk parts here we talking about parts that is in high demand for the Nigeria market .. Which is the Japanese parts....to make you laugh small , you will not see an Igbo man going to South African to load container for parts ..lol. Must parts come from Japan for Japanese cars and the USA too.. Parts from Japan are more expensive than parts in the USA for the same car .. Same engine you buy in USA will cost u more in Japan ... the reason is that the Japanese don't drive their cars for too long and they tend to replace their cars more often, meaning that those engines will have low miles and importantly they are built in Japan ...... If you go ladipo now now , and you want to buy shocks for example they will bring you Japan shocks ,USA shocks and China shocks... the Japanese shocks will cost more ,based on the fact that those shocks are not as badly used as the USA shocks .....I use to import car parts from Japan early 2000 , I did it once and it was a tough market ,tough business....... If you bring a camry from SA and the one from USA ,which one do u think will go faster ? Same year make and model .....am sure u know the answer to that .. Go and load 40ft container of Japanese cars parts from SA and make I load the same for USA , which one u think will move faster, forget about engine self ,cause those SA engines are different from the Yankee ones .. Yankee are stronger..... Lol |
GforGee:Am not a car expert or mechanic, but I know is basic and common sense things... am sure he knows more than me in other area of things.. And I once imported car parts from Japan early 2000 .... And uber business will teach you a lot of things along the line ....I don't claim to know it all ,but if what u telling does not make sense ,I research it to verify |
radautoworks:His car was built for the African market and 20w50 is allowed .. So he thinks that applies to all tucson, but the USA version and SA have different engine ,USA has a GTi 2.0 and 2.4 ,while the SA or African version has a 1.6liter Mpi .... |
GforGee:He feels that it applies to all Tucson built.... Just because it apples for is own car ,does not mean it will apply to others unless you read owners manual ......... |
GforGee:I think he is bit confuse , which is understandable , is 2020 Tucson is not built for the USA market and 20w50 can be used.. So I guess he thinks that applies to all Tucson...... So the USA Tucson as a totally different engine 2.0gdi and 2.4gdi , I didn't even know that until I read the owners manual .. I think his own tucson uses different transmission fluid from the USA version..... Unfortunately those cars built for the African market tend not to have the same quality as the USA built..... Elantra built for African market has a 1.6liter engine and the USA version has a 2.0liter engine .. African built engine version don't last too long and they cheaper in the market.. I can go on and on ..... Another example... some Benz built or assemble for the USA market will tend to have recalls due to the point that those parts are coming from different countries ..... But the Benz built in Germany are better built and last longer and will have less issues than the USA counter part.. Same with some Japanese cars ..... All these stuff didn't make sense until an I read an article about it years ago and it made perfect sense ....but if u don't read u won't know |
ascendo:Am not here to condemn any oil . Again majority of the cars in Nigeria are from the USA , 20w50 engine is not common with USA cars anymore.. The most common oil is 5w30 and car engines are now moving to thinner oil like 0w20 .. These are all facts..... When u talk about the car running tempt.....Texas, Arizona, Las Vegas etc do have the same temperature as Nigeria, so we can't use Nigeria temperature as an excuse to use 20w50..... As I mentioned to you ,the cars u mention that are built in SA do not have the same engine as the USA spec.. The USA are built better and have better option .. They are much safer and built safer due to the USA strict crash test, other countries don't have that strict crash safety requirements as the USA.. So these cars will cost more ,compare to cars from SA or cars built for African market... There is a reason why parts of these cars cost much.. Bottom line is owners should read their manual at all times, if it is written in the manual of any particular car that 20w50 is ok to use , than am fine with that .. But if does not state so I advice against it. .. .. In reality 20w50 sells more than other oil ,it is cheap for a reason..... .. |
GforGee:His Hyundai was not built in the USA .. His version and the USA have different engine . The USA version has a GTi engine... Unfortunately the guy thinks are cars are built the same ..... The USA version will always be superior than other version..... This is why is always important to read owners manual .. The USA version will cost more in the market
|
ascendo:Now your 2020 Tucson was not built in the USA .. It has a different type engine.. The USA version, which is likely a better version has built in GTi engine..... Pics below sir ..I know this is confusing sir , but if you relax abit you understand.. Those cars u mention are not built in the USA and they have different type of engine.. It is important again to read owners manual .....
|
ascendo:Bros, Bros, Bros, how many times did I call you bros? You want to compare Toyota Camry built in SA to the USA built cars etc bros you want fall my hand..... Another example, Hyundai elantra 07 built in India that coscharis brings, are less inferior than the ones built in the USA...bros ,bros, don't make a mockery of yourself o...... Let's us be fair here, 60% of cars that are shipped to Nigeria come from the USA ,that 60% is me just been conservative.... That been said , the manufacturer of those cars have taken into consideration weather conditions, we have states that are hotter than Nigerian weather or have similar weather patterns, those things the manufacturer will consider before making a car ... You can't never compare Toyota cars built in SA to USA ...let's us stop this back and fourth.. How many are buying Toyota cars built in SA ? How many do you see on the road..... Lol bro either way owners should follow car manual ....... Modify : Kindly go to ladipo compare Toyota parts from South Africa, Japan , and the USA. ......compare prices and tell me why the prices are different...... Lol
|
ascendo:But you use 20w50 for your 2016 camry now , when the manual states 0w20.. I stated that to you , your reply was u don't need to read any manual etc ......but you are willing to read manual for your 2020 Tucson Abi.... If you are willing to follow manufacturers advice on ur tucson ,why not do the same on ur camry ? Oga, one thing I need to point to you ..not all cars are built the same ,not all engine are built the same.. Some cars are more sensitive than others etc .. Some engines last better than others and built even better... so you can't treat all cars the same etc ....... Example.....when Infinity fx45 came out , people were going crazy etc people loved the car etc .. After sometimes people were complaining that car breaks maintenance is high etc.. You can't abuse those cars like you do other cars like Toyota.... People can't maintain cars. Same with Acura cars ,you can't abuse them anyhow.. Honda civic transmission needs special ATF made ,anything else will damage the transmission ,it might not be immediately ,but overtime it will get damage..... Bottom line, owners should always read car manual especially when it comes to engine and transmission, other parts of the car you might be able to comprise a bit ....... Just because 2021 car uses 20w50 ,does not mean all cars will use the samething....let's read to understand |
Idugie1:Sold sir .... |
radautoworks:Lol ....haha not like that now... you are well known now. You could have said Radauto now ... you can call again to get my USA number.. Not a problem at all or Chillex can give it to you |
Stanleyallen17:Those Nigerian oil are of low quality ......20w50 might be ok for industrial machines.. Bottom line people should just read owners manual at all times ..... |
radautoworks:We dey try small small o .....2021 is around the corner. Time to stop talking about certain topics .. Oil will be 1 of them and uber recommended cars like civic... it is getting repetitive for me .. Time to focus on sales and other important things... I think have tried enough...... |
ascendo:In the USA it is not very common away for Mobil 1 or Castrol or any brand to produce.. Most car manufactures are adapting to thinner multi purpose grade oil like 0w20. 20w50 are mostly used for industrial machine, heavy duty machine that uses diesel |
radautoworks:Sure ....dru23@hotmail.com |
sirleke:U know I import those things? It's expensive bro to be doing give away |
odimbannamdi:Lol my brother thank you for ur kind words.....the business is very tough and am just trying my best .. It is a lot easier said than done. |
luvlyoracle:Sold sir..... |
