diportivo:Am sure this car ran like new when you sold it the 20w50 oil crew .. Ran like new when sold it baba it is well .. Even my uber cars when sold are not this bad lol.. The Lord is ur muscle ![]()

diportivo:When an engine is built if the engine is well taken care of. That engine should last at least 200k miles for most Japanese cars ...... What you are really ignorant about is the long term affect of the car , you are only looking from short term angle ....... Now the tokunbo cars you guys buy from Yankee, if the owners fail to follow owners manual and starting using 20w50 oil for their cars ,especially cars from Texas, las Vegas, Florida etc .by the time those cars are passed down to Nigerian market ,the car will not last more than two years or more ....... your brother that sold that car ,likely sold it reasons best known to him .. When people sell their cars in any parts of the world, it is usually sold for a reason the car been sold at coparts that people like you rush and let the prices inflates are sold for a reason your smart brother sold that accord to avoid any headache down the line...... . You are not smarter than the manufacture... Below .... Example I bought this 2008 rav4 clean title for good money , and I was lucky , low mileage etc .. I was happy that I got a good deal ..... So by the time we put the car together , the front wheel was making noise and stiff etc ... We had a mechanic take a look at and guess what ? The steering electric pump is bad , it needs replacement, guess how much the mechanic called it 200k naira, I went on eBay and got it for $175.00 and ready to ship out soon .. So imagine if I didn't have the resources .. My very first civic on uber , this was before I knew anything about engine oil ... That Civic was a beast and over 80k miles was put on the car. It was using using 20w50 at the time, it started having issues ,it didn't short oil , but it was bringing out smoke ..my mechanic advice me to sell it before the problem becomes bigger. We sold it fast fast ....... Again your ignorance buttress my point why I will never buy naija used cars .. Ps.. When we complain to the mechanic about the steering electric pump noise, he said the car is ok . It is just noise ... the shit I hear from these guys at times, am starting to feel it's a universal thing among Nigerians I tire o

fabienjoe:You are missing the point of the debate.. If your car calls for 20w50 than fine .. Just because your car recommends 20w50 does not mean it is universal for all cars....The Tucson that we talk about it is likely brought in by Dana Motors..... There is a big difference between those car with the USA spec ...... The USA spec comes with 2.0 GDi and 2.4 GDi engine. When korea or Japan makes cars for the USA .. It has to make the best possible version of that car to compete with other car company in the USA.....it is more expensive too.... So when buying Asian cars ,buy from the USA .. Some japanese cars are exclusively made in Japan for USA market only and it cost more .. The USA is not a dumping ground for cars .....
|
fabienjoe:Picture this ..imagine if this is ur car , you bought tokunbo low miles with your hard earn money ... what oil would you use
|
peeps4u:I can't vouch for something that I have never used before. From my experience with naija oil that basically ruined my engine... I have vow never to knowingly used anything made for naija again...... This is why I import my own stuff , even car wash soap I dey import am ....For best protection of your car and peace of mind , Full synethtic is the way to go ,especially if your car is early model ....... But again read your owners manual for the best way to care for your car .... |
peeps4u:I think it is semi synthetic oil .. I don't use or sell it .... |
peeps4u:Na for African market bros.... Stick to American formulated oil ... those oil formulated for American cars.. |
peeps4u:5k naira again
|
diportivo:Yes o bro.... Go ask coparts and Auction site ..naija are the number 1 Buyer for cars o .. Because of them Toyota cars has hit the roof , they are the reason for high cost of cars ........ Some USA Japan spec cars are actually made in Japan and imported for the USA market.... if you know you know ....... Because of your people dey rush Asian cars ,I no fit see road buy Toyota cars for customers.... The last one I buy self na with prayer and fasting, lol.. Wetin my eye lol .... Instead make dey go Asia go buy market, they wont let person rest Ps ...car business starts and end in America ... even used parts self . If you know you know o ![]() |
GAZZUZZ:Gazzuz is protecting is investment o .......no wahala Oga.... How much sir |
radautoworks:Well, u know say importation of oyel dry small now , say 20w50 dey wan rain now ..... |
seunoj:Omo dollar dey high bro... u know I import those things not easy for us |
replete:Order urs before it is gone
|
diportivo:Dana motor allegedly imports those cars from Korea, for obvious reasons they are not imported from the USA ...quality is already comprise right there .. You want best quality Asian spec cars , import them from the USA . You get peace of mind ...... |
peeps4u:I dont leave in Asia , but have visited Asia.. So can't tell you much about the cons and pros ...... USA option will be top notch ... the civic brand has been 1 of the top selling brand in the USA .. The USA is a competitive market .....how many cars do you think Nigerians import from Asian or Europe ? |
peeps4u:How many times do you see me coming here and begging a mechanic to help me diagnosis a problem? ..03 to 05 civic are low maintenance and parts are cheap. I don't know much about 06 civic , 03 to 05 looks more study than 06 upward ..... |
chillex8:If take care of them the will last you ..the civic that has sludge has been on the platform for almost 2years.. No major issue at all ..... You know am a man of my word .. Two more civics landing soon , 1 of them has only 121k miles on it .... Landing cost at the exchange rate of 470 is 1.5m .......... Second one I can't tell you ......... |
peeps4u:Using the wrong transmission fluid on your civic is bad enough, you want use 20w50 on a civic smh ... |
GAZZUZZ:Yes sir , I will take your advice and follow you like your followers.... Another Civic loading soon ... we move bro .. Pennzoil still dey bro .....121k miles 2005 .... We don't sludge stop us bro .... We keep pushing..... That Civic with sludge has been on uber for almost 2 yrs .. We good bro .....
|
peeps4u:For peace of mind.. Always read owners manual at all times... This 20w50 matter tire me and it is one of my goals in 2021 to stop talking about types of oil etc.. If you are in doubt read your manual and Google it ..goodluck |
GAZZUZZ:And take advise from you Abi lol. .... Like ur blind followers Abi..I recall the day I wanted to start selling Castrol gtx magnatec.. You stated the oil is not good etc and that u use it etc and damage cars etc .. Thank God I no take ur advice.... It is all good bro ... |
GAZZUZZ: |
GAZZUZZ:Beg you ,must be your blind followers .. U know must people that follow you are always begging you up and down ..not me bro beg u bro bring it on ..call ur attack dogs lol Gazzuz ,gazzuz lol ..that person must be a begger than ..real man don't beg bro ... you wanted me to join your begging fan club at 1 time .. Lol .. Make I dey beg you up and down like your followers, make I join the begging club......I don't need you to fix my cars , I don't to buy parts or anything from you bro ..u want have mercy on lol |
GAZZUZZ:Bottom line owners should read car manual at all times ,you can't know better that the manufacture.. I am big advocate of encouraging people to read their car manual. |
GAZZUZZ:Talk now ...u telling me a block engine can't crack due to excess overheating...we want learn now |
GAZZUZZ:Have never tried Kia at all ,i didn't feel comfortable with their reviews., Kia is not as big compare as elantra in Yankee.. I love the Elantra better than Kia or Corolla, but I read Elantra 2020 model had not so good reviews .. |
GAZZUZZ:Sir you telling me a block can't crack due to overheating? |
GAZZUZZ:Bros talk true ,naija is dumping the ground ,some of those Koreans cars don't even have airbag standard like the USA version.. This is not fight here, let us have an objective conversation.. The 1.6liter u self can't sell it ,how much u want . The demand for it is not there at all . The Tucson built for naija market is different from Yankee under power and different engine.. Blame the Nigeria government for these , go on jiji u see these cars 2020 almost brand new for 2m ..come on bro u are in ur feelings |
chillex8:Whatapps me and Friday u get ur 10k naira .. I still won't by 1.6liter engine lol .. There is reason why that engine is built for African market o |
GAZZUZZ:Gazzuz my guy .. I recall on ur post when someone ask you type of cars for uber .. I think the person mention elantra.. You said Elantra was not strong for uber .. I recall when u use to like elantra for uber ,but now elantra is not ok again..... I almost cried o .. U know I still have 1 elantra on my fleet and I imported the engine myself.. Till now that engine is still running and the Elantra is about 3 years on uber .. I want cry that bro , Elantra that u used to praise .. It is well bro |
GAZZUZZ:Bottom line block engine are much stronger ,if it cracks you can easily seal them up than the aluminum |
GAZZUZZ:How come this engine keep breaking down, and it seems nobody wants to buy them.. Those engines are made for the African market , they are not as strong as the 2.0liter engine ... when you even compare the fuel economy to the 1.6l or to the almighty Corolla, ..The difference is not that much.... I will rather go for the 2.0liter .....keep And to be Frank with the 2.0liter is almost indestructible too.. This is from experince |
