Synthetic is not for everyone.

This car was using mineral oil before it came into Nigeria based on the colour of the internals.

2az-fe is an oil burner.

This is my last response to you. kindly find another thread to derail.
The very first oil change was Mobil 1 extended peformace... So u can tell from the internal it was using mineral oil from the USA .... I thought I have sceen it and heard it all ......

Oga no vex for derailing your thread...kindly accept my apology and I promise to mind my own business....
Autos › Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by dru23(m): 7:53pm On Dec 19, 2020
GAZZUZZ:
Based on drivers report, engine was sludge filled and still burning oil when sold. Also burning excessive fuel.
Oga .. I think you dont want to admit that you are wrong.. It is ok to be wrong... The blue civic never had sludge during the time I was around.. The only reason it will have sludge if the driver that told you it had sludge was selling the Mobil 1 extended performance given to him ,and than using 20w50 ..

Full synethtic oil does not cause sludge at all... below is the picture of the blue civic when it was open up to replace oil seal ... you can clearly tell there is no sludge at all at the time ...

The driver that told you had sludge was either lieing to you ,or you are confusing red civic which had sludge, or you dont want to admit that you were wrong for advising the camry owner to use 20w50 .......

Below picture was the head plug seal that was replaced with parts that I bought myself.. This is common with civic , the head plug seals can cause oil to shorten or leak when worn out .. It is a simple replacement that cost about $5.00 for parts and easy to replace.. I was the one that pointed it out to the mechanic..The head plug seal was a secondary issue after the engine oil seal was replaced, and it didn't occurred right away..

The major reason why the blue civic was sold was due to excessive fuel consumption.. The car was taken to at least two different mechanics. Money was wasted and mechanics were doing trial and error up and down .. One mechanic wanted to do collect 20k naira before touching it.

This is a 2003 car that a mechanic couldn't diagnose, and if I had taken that car to Radauto , am sure I would have gotten to the bottom of fuel consumption.. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have sold the car ......

So my Oga, nobody is perfect and we learn everyday.. Make I stop here ...make I no go any further than this, until am pushed to do so......

There was no trace of oil leak anywhere on the ground..

If you have a counter argument backed up with facts, kindly quote the guy and post.

Tenk
A car could be shorting oil for different reasons, now if a car has over 300k miles , it will short oil for the obvious reasons .....

1. Pc valves could be worn out and needs replacement
2. Engine valve seals could need replacement ....these two things needs to be check before recommending a higher weigh oil like 20w50 , AkA engine oil killer lol....

All these are from experince.. One of my old 2003 civic was shorten oil .. I was told due to the car been old with high mileage to use heavier oil weight , so I had them check pc valves, and it was in excellent shape. There is no way I would use engine oil killer 20w50 on my car ..

So I had Ayo Bishop take a look at it .. It was oil seal rubber worn out into pieces.. It was very obvious cause when he took out engine valve cover, you could see the worn out rubber.. He replaced it with another one, the car never short oil after that....

Samething with an elantra engine that I bought personally myself .. When I replace old engine with tokunbo engine , the engine was shorten oil , Ayo open up the engine valve cover, guess what ? Seal was worn out and replace .. Six months later the engine running fine with no issue at all .. The engine had 137k miles on it when it was imported by me ....

Na, I'll reply you on this one, poor family? wink wink wink
Okay, brief history of my family, I'm from a family of 7, grew up in McKinney Texas, came back to Nigeria 2009 to study my culture and I loved it here, my sister's are based in Canada, parents based in Dallas Texas, extended family all in US, I've lived in 3 countries minus Nigeria all my life, I'm a graduate nurse with a valid US nursing license, I live in my own house, have rented our apartment's and have my own cars, very independent. I do Uber on the weekends just to kill boredom and keep fit. I work in ExxonMobil as a safety officer and only still in Nigeria cos I'm searching for a wide before relocating back. If you want evidence of my us nationality, send me a mail and I'll inbox you rh2 evidence of my claims, then you can take a screenshot and post here for confirmation of you like. I won't run you down because it's obvious you are already low and taking you lower is inhumane.

You no get confidence with anything made in Naija? That's the basis of your post.

I get confidence in some items made in Naija. Naija's manufacturing sector is not useless
.

You are the confusionist here.

I quite agree with the fact that the engine orifices for oil passage are getting smaller. How many centistoke is the viscosity range of 20W50? What's that of 0W20 or 5W30 or 5W40?

Remember that oil recommendations for some of these cars that are built in 2000s to 2007s are 5W30 SF.

If you mention Society of Automobile Engineering (SAE), dont rubbish American Petroleum Institute (API)
I try to be objective as much as possible.. Majority of things produce or manufacture in Nigeria will not meet international standard .. Facts.. The checks and balance that are put in balance do not function fully ,due to corruptions and other factors.. Look at the Health care system as an example..... Even Nigerian themselves including government officials will not buy made in Nigeria cars...... Agriculture products meant for export get turn away cause they didnt meet the criteria.. That is why so many of those things are stuck at the port now as we speak .........

I am not confuse ,I just deal with reality.. And Nigeria as a whole or even Africa lacks maintenance culture etc, we can go on and on .. Another example palm oil that I even used for cooking , we bring it in from the Village for obvious reasons.... ..

The reason explain above is why I import most items that I used for business and personal ..... I love the fact that Nigerian agricultural produce are 100% organic, more organic that overseas ..that am proud of ..

These are either SL or SM
Bros, whether na SL, or FBI, or SM I no want, I no fit use 20w50 oil or sell am ..

Car engines are getting more advance now, and thinner multi graded oil will be common now..... Owners should read their owners manual at all times .... You didn't design these engines , let the manufacture of the cars do their jobs.. Plz Bros, I beg u o ......anything made in Nigeria I no get confidence in it ....let the matter down ,and stop posting 20w50 on my post....

Go and confuse or continuing to confuse your followers.. I beg bros......
