Yes and No.. Yes meaning that USA Mobil 1 spec goes through rigorous test and millions of dollars spend on research..

No... unfortunately third world countries are dumping ground for most of these companies low quality product.. Engine oil made for third world countries are made according to what the companies can get away with quality control is not effectively force to ensure that the best product are coming in ...same goes for cars.. American spec cars are more desirable in most developing or develop countries .. E.g. American spec Toyota. Kia ,Hyundai cars etc .. But for me when it comes to Benz I rather buy straight from Germany... that is another topic for another day o

PS.. Another example that came to mind. Nigeria fuel will not pass international standard .. If you know, you know

One thing is buying from the same source ,another is refining ,testing adding additives and having the final product pass or exceed quality standard.. Most of the oil sold or brought in for Nigerian market will not pass USA standard.... The American engine oil market is very competitive... So you have to follow strict rules to pass their standard ..

See engine, no sludge. Changes oil every 3 months

Not to rain on your parade o .. I doubt your engine and oil has pass the stress test.. Keep in mind my car has been on the uber platform for over two years ...meaning over two years of constant usage.. Stop and go, long hours in traffic, dust etc.. You can't never compare commercial use to private use .
Also I do oil change every 12k miles and plus the cost of oil filter my total cost is about 20k Naira every 12k miles... now my assumption is that your oil is conventional oil , which will not be cost effective for commercial usage o ..... My oil will greatly serve is purpose for all brands of cars ..meaning expensive cars with high cost of engine replacement. With your type of oil I wouldn't use on expensive cars ....but the point is when it comes to engine oil, there is levels to this sh*t ......Am team USA spec Mobil 1 all day ......

My brother I like anything that saves me money.. The reason why I like Mobil 1 oil , especially Extended Performance oil. I don't have to worry about changing oil up and down. With good oil filter that is good for 15k miles interval. I do my oil change every 12k miles .. Keep in mind my cars are constantly running on uber.. Constant stop and go ,braking etc .. These cars on uber are constantly running up and down .. So you need good quality oil to keep your engine running smooth.. Mobil 1 extended performace does the job well.. And it saves me trip from the mechanic.. Am trying to avoid been the mechanic best friend.. It can be an expensive relationship

They are not thieves bro ...it is very expensive to get o .. But I sell mines at reasonable price.. Most time once I get a delivery it sells fast .. I do have a new batch coming next week all mainly 5w30 17k and oil filter ...please be on the look out ....

The 08 Elantra has been on uber for more than 2 years ..... I change oil every 12k miles not 12k but every 12k miles

I will always take engine manufacturer's advice over oil marketer/manufacturer's sales pitch

Due to oil leakage from oil filter O-ring.. I had engine oil level at the tip of the dipstick.
engine was till running fine and it was not mobil 1..

At that level you still had atleast 2 qts of engine oil left

Ok.. You made a good point .. But you have not answer my question.. Can your oil go up to 12k miles before changing it.. And do it for two years plus? Keep in mind this my car is been used for uber o .. Keep in mind Lagos traffic, constant stop and go etc

Picture below is the oil level before the engine was open up. Mobil 1 extended performance still protects... Plus with Mobil extended performace I do oil change every 12k miles ... can your engine oil do that?

Let's see if the oil u are using can last up to every 12k miles before oil change conservatively for two years plus

There was no need to top any oil ..base on the fact that the car was just service with Mobil 1 extended performace oil .. The car was shorten oil not up to 2k miles after servicing... And from experience the other cars short oil at about 5k to 7k miles. Than I top it and the car is good till 12k miles before oil change.
So I knew something was very wrong.. I ask my mechanic to open up the engine. It was discovered one of the seal was broken.. So my mechanic use some type of gum to cover up the seal. So next week,will get the proper parts to replace it..

This is how my engine looks using Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil .. Keep in mind this is my uber Elantra 08 car ,and my oil change interval is every 12k miles for the past two years plus ..
The car was service a month ago with a new uber driver. The driver was doing oil check and notice that oil was shorten. So we decided to have my mechanic take a good look at it. So the engine was open up .. And behold the engine looks well protected and Mobil 1 has been doing a great job protecting the engine from sludge and wear and tear .. This is why I will continue using Extended Performace and do oil change every 12k miles .....

Ps.. The third picture is little plastic seal type.. It was broken and it was the cause of the oil shorten. For now it was replace with gum . Pending we get the parts for it next week..

You are correct, but unfortunately I don't have 5w20 for now .. But you can hit up Gazzuzz or Radauto for oil.. , especially oil filter ..you want to make sure u use the correct oil filter for that edge.. The engines don't come cheap... and for the inconvenience, your next oil purchase from me ,I will take 1k naira from the sale price ..

Unfortunately I don't have 5w20.. It is only 5w30 that I will be expecting next week or so with oil filters ... out of curiosity, what is year, make and model of your car ...the reason I ask is because some car manufacturers will recommend 5w30, if 5w20 is not available. For example My 08 elantra manual states 5w30 on oil cap. But if u read the manual it states 5w20 ...but I believe 5w30 offers better engine protection ,especially on high mileage cars ...
