Car Talk › Full Synthetic oil interval by dru23(op): 4:51pm On Nov 01, 2018
Good day to all my uber partners and customers.... .. A very big thank you.. Especially these past few days for your patronage of the Mobil extended performance oil ... To show my great appreciation to you all ... I will be doing a very big discount to all my loyal customers alike... thank you all ...and for now the only way to reach me is through this thread for now ...once am able to get access to my email I will let you guys know...

Now to get to the matters .. Each time am chanced to talk to my customers about the product I sell to them ... I noticed that quite a few do oil change at about 5k miles... with Mobil extended performance and a very good oil filter, the interval should be longer .maybe around 12k miles or so ...for my uber cars now it is about 12k miles before next oil change.. My elantra that I just "ring" am hoping to change it after 12k.. There is no point wasting 17k every 5k miles... make use of the extended performance advantages with good oil filter.
And I don't want to be selling oil for the sake of selling oil .. I want to sell a product because it works.. So in my humble opinion with good oil filter and Mobil extended performance longer interval is advisable, lets say at least 10k miles ...get your money worth ...below is a link that I hope will convinced you guys... thank you all

Kinda ambiguous statement there..

Are you praising your Civic 03, or bigging up Elantra
Bigging up the civic o ... ..but the elantra has a bit of an edge over the civic.... The civic is too low to the ground...

Civic has been better than the Corolla for generations.
Unfortunately I agree o .. My 03 civic is so reliable now , that the elantra has a strong competition

Hahahaha
Just concerned about three things
1. Durability
2. Fuel Economy
3. Ease of Maintenance
1. Durability - very strong might not be as strong has a corolla.. But if my elantra can last 1year plus on uber ...I think it has pass the durability test.

2. Fuel Economy- If compare to corolla , not much of a big deal. The fuel is very good, usually takes me 4k naira to fill up ..with constant a/c and traffic conditions u won't be disappointed.

3. Ease of Maintenance - looking at the engine alone , it is a mechanic dream ..enough space to fix and service the car ..very easy ,just buy genuine parts and you good to go ..again if my own elantra can survive the curses of uber / taxify.. I think the car is a winner ...people might complain that the gear or transmission are not strong enough... but from my own experience, people use the wrong gear oil or fluid...

I was actually tilting towards the Elantra 08 up until tonight.

It would be my preferred choice if I can get some assurances from car experts as to how good the car is.

This will be my first car. I can't really drive well too
Go for the car... I have a few on uber ..very strong cars.. The issue with Nigeria and Nigerians is maintaining cars and infrastructure...
I will advice get a tokunbo from "reputable" seller .. Take a mechanic to check it out ..make sure car has no sludge, no milage tampering, etc ... once all those things checks out ,do your oil change, coolant change etc ...you will enjoy the car

To all my uber partners / customers.. This is coming soon at a friendly price ...dru23 shake tables with engine oil ..it is time to rattle the market and break one or two legs in the coolant market..... You need coolant in your car people.. It will change the life of your car and pocket... and stop spending wasting money at the mechanic shop ..do the basic and in return you spend less at the mechanic.... Most mechanics won't preach this to you ...cool

We can't continue to be buying fake coolant .. We all need to move forward and maintain our cars ...good maintenance = less time at the mechanic = money save = happy car owner.. cool

Now you guys are starting to sound like you are only hating because you have chosen to ignore the point. The whole degree and MSc talk only came up as a response to someone that feels he knows how to talk....saying he blames the drivers that take the e-hailing business as a full time employment. All d peeps that talked about degree only stated it to make him know that he's probably not as educated or qualified as some of the drivers he's referring to, so the fact he's in a white collar employment and looking at drivers like people that don't have other things to do is a result of the rubbish that occurs in the country, where the few opportunities land in the hands of the very fortunate or connected. So he can't just be talking when he doesn't know what led them into the business.

Nobody is saying uber is not good, or that some people are too big for uber. As long as it pays your bills and you don't have to cheat/scam people for a living, it's fine by me. But let me ask you, if you had the opportunity to sit in an office, earn half a million per month, under d AC and be addressed with respect 24/7, would you rather be driving?....No.

So there's nothing wrong with letting sum1 running his mouth know that he's probably not the most qualified for his current position. This is a country where fortune and privileges(connections) determine people's lives and we must not forget that.
The young man statement appeals to everything that goes on this country... so to me he shoot his shot and the bullets spread to whom it was targeted to ...your point is noted too

I am so impressed with what you said bro ... because of the truth you said ,your likes will be very few ..nobody likes to hear the truth at all ...a lot of these people are either slaves to themselves or slaves to their mechanic... until they calm down and listern to the truth.. They will continue to be slaves, it is not a curse ..it is how the universe works ...this same statement you made ,was stated few years ago on uber thread...
People need to make the best out of it now ..nothing last forever.. Uber drivers that are complaining that work is hard and this and that.. What about people that don't have a job .. A man has kids and looking for ways to feed his children... and you are there complaining about rude riders etc ...count your blessings people.... It is not easy anywhere in the world ...

My brother you shall live long .. You said the truth.. It is very unfortunate that a lot of these drivers don't present themselves very well... have been in the country for weeks now , and I can say that you are very correct... some of them complain that they have degrees, Msc etc nobody cares go out there and work.. Dress to impressed and carry yourself professionally and be humble.
But some of these uber drivers don't even wash their cars.. They forget that uber business is also a customer service type business... yes I can also agree that riders can be rude ,but as a professional you can put them in check without been aggressive with them or rude ...it comes with the job ,some days you meet great riders and some u get crazy ones ..as long as you get more nice riders than the bad you fine.. But if you keep getting the crazy ones all the time ..it means you yourself have a problem..
And the ones that have so called degree feel so entitled .so because you have all the degrees ,make job fall on your lap ? The mind set of the youth needs to change... I shake my heads at times, nothing really has changed with the youth in these country...

Been following this thread for a while. I have an 05 camry. Unfortunately, it's the 3.0 V6 version. How viable will this particular vehicle be on the taxify/uber platform? I am particularly worried by the comments of most partners here pertaining the v6. The mpg difference between the V6 and the 2.4L inline 4 variants of this vehicle seems to be only 2-4mpg. How feasible will this be?

Bottom line is whether economically or reliability, elantra does well for me and my drivers.. I have never driven a corolla before... so hard to compare. But the elantra does get the job done with no doubt in my mind.. Funny enough I thought I might have a hard time selling one on my uber fleet.. Didnt have a problem at all. I sold it fast fast. After a year on uber...
When u factor in the cost of the elantra, even though the price is coming up now ,I strongly belief it is worth it all the way
