if you know, you know.

Cc carshopper.
No need to Cc: anybody I wanted to get a second opinion.. I will get a new speed sensor, just to get the rite one at ladipo is another problem of its own .. Things like that is always better to buy brand new ... am not a mechanic o , but common sense will tell you so... this is why people should always follow the manufacture advice on oil change including transmission fluid ,which of coz you guys call it gear oil... no shaking thanks for your response

this part Seldom gets bad in an elantra.

Well it was scanned twice. First by my own scanner and second by the mechanic scanner . Both scanner brought out speed sensor. If you put the gear in drive, the car jumps and it takes a while to accelerate.. If you are going like 40miles per hour for an example, it takes few seconds to get there, but eventually it will get there.. Both scanners can't be wrong.. Transmission oil has been changed and service... to be frank with you, if I was to take an educational guest. My guest will be that the wrong transmission oil was used .. The elantra transmission fluid has a specific type that you must use.. I bought about 50liters last year that was specifically for elantra... well been a JJC the port rat made away with it. But for some reason none to them, they left me two liters ..

Don't do it! It's not designed for uber business.
Sorry I get it now ..06 is the new body shape and that 06 is not rugged or design for uber... by the way how is your elantra doing? I will need a transmission speed sensor .do u know any good elantra parts seller.. Lately have been getting bad, very unreliable parts lately from ladipo.. I had to change alternator twice coz it was bad.. It didn't last two weeks after buying from ladipo. And when we try to return it, the seller didn't agree ,he said that the parts are not under warrant after one week

Ha .. Me am confused o .. I have a 04 civic now and the car is doing ok no major issues at all. The car is about 4 months into uber.. Am wondering if it is because the driver is very careful with the car.. I just wanted to get a second opinion. Can you elaborate why it is not good for uber. For one that I know we can all agree on . The car is very low to ground for our Nigerian roads.. Can't think of anything else.
Autos › Re: Between Honda Civic 2007 And Eod 2004 by dru23(m): 1:27am On May 24, 2018
datjohn:
1. Civic has a better fuel economy because it comes wit a displacement of 1.8 Litre (4 cylinders)
Accord comes 2.4 L (for d inline-4 models) or 3.0 L (for V6)

2. Civic is smaller and a bit more compact in space dan d Accord. U can as well compare Civic to a Corrolla, while Accord to a Camry with respect to dia sizes.

3. Both cars are durable but since dey are both Honda products, U got to be sensitive towards ur shaft and no too much rough usage.

4. 07 Civic and 04 Accord have a comparable Capital cost, but Operating cost is cheaper on d Civic.
Besides, a 2007 technology is more recent dan 2004.

My Verdict:
Make ur decision based on ur personal requirements.

Choose Civic if U don't have a problem wit a smaller-sized sedan, a decent (140hp by performace, similar to Corrolla, 406 etc) and an economic vehicle (ave. 29mpg same wit Corrolla)

But if U need a better performance (about 160-240 horsepowers), a larger sized-sedan, but not comparably so economic(ave. 22-24mpg), den Accord is urs.

But I would personally choose Civic for me. For me ooo!! I don't know about U. tongue
What is your take for civic 05 for uber

Still on my experiment.

I have been in Abuja attending a conference and my daily route is same and these are my observations.

Uber charges 1150 while Taxify charges 700
Uber receipt shows a flat rate here often, no breakdown's, so the Taxify goes home with about 600, the Uber goes home with about 890.

If the same system is operable in Lagos, I can say that Uber benefits the driver, while Taxify benefits the rider
From my experience, many say Taxify is more expensive but the reverse is the case.

Now we drivers claim Taxify is better in terms of payment. Is is really true?
To all my uber / taxify partners .. Am thinking about getting a Honda civic 05 or 06 for uber ..please any experience owners here.. I do have one 04 on the platform, which is doing fine.. Due to the fact that the currant driver likes it and treats it like his own . Like I always tell people, do your research well well.. So now am seeking a second opinion... thanks in advance, and also I was told that 04 to 05 are very rugged .but new shape from 06 upwards not so rugged
Boss, why are you limiting the liabilities of the Guarantor to just 30k.

I think a Guarantor is a person who guarantee to pay for someone else’s debt if he/she should default on a pre-agreed obligation. A Guarantor also acts as a co-signer of sorts, in that they pledge their own assets or services if a situation arises in which the original debtor cannot perform their obligations.

A Guarantor is also known as a Surety.

So sir, don’t limit the liability of a Guarantor to a mere 30k.

Collect your Security Deposit or if possible do upfront rental payment but never limit the liability of a Guarantor.
One experience every single person should try in a life time is become an Uber driver. It is a fantastic experience, full of ups and downs. But absolutely enjoyable.
I took the plunge in September 2016. Up till then, I had only heard good things about it. How much money you could make, how many places you got to visit and how many people you got to meet. I love to interact with intelligent people.
So i went in head first, and I have to say it has been a great experience.
I am someone you could call a semi-pro Uber driver, I guess.
Since September 2019, I have done a grand total of 900 trips, an average of about 10 trips every week. And in this time I have made a good deal of money, and met a handful of people. I have met a less than savoury customer once or twice, the majority of my riders are wonderful people.
I find that usually if I respect myself, people tend to do the same with themselves. And I am fine with that.
I make good money driving, indeed anybody can, combining hard and smart work. I have a plan and I stick to it, I know when and where to drive even if I don't drive that often.
And the conversations, oh the conversations I have had and the ones I have listened in on(unfortunately, I don't have a choice). All I can say is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
And I have been to a lot of nice places.
Because I am very service oriented and make sure to give every single rider a great experience, I now have friends all around the city. And for some inexplicable reason, I tend to have riders who are really cool.
Personally, I think every adventurous person should give driving on Uber a try. Because after all is said and done, what could beat having fun while you make money.
My brother you dey fast oo . Make we finish 2018 first... but true sha ,it is a good experience to be a driver first and feel what is attainable in the market.. I suggest six months experience at least is a good start.. You see when u start from the bottom you can see the top.. Don't mind me I borrowed that from "2chain"

Referral are the best form of recruitment anywhere in the world. Even big conglomerate and multi-national companies prefer referral than direct recruitment. You can hardly go wrong with referral.

If my current partner, refer any other driver to me, believe me I will not collect Security Deposit from the new driver before giving key to a car. That’s how exceptional he his.

So except for referral from trusted and excellent driver who I have worked with, all procedures must be followed during fresh/direct recruitment of new drivers.
Yes you very correct.. Make we see sha ,but some drivers don't want trouble sha. Especially if they refer person and it does not work out.. Me personally I dey fear to refer person, you are putting your reputation on the line.. So it is 50/50 at times

Business is business bro.. They should be protocols and structure in any business you do. That is my point bro, and never mix family, or friends with business the chances that it will end bad is pretty high.. Why would I give my car out to a driver without doing the basic, background check, guarantor, reference, address of driver etc.. My brother let us think ahead and not behind... this is the reason African business don't pass on from generation to generation... partners need to do their due diligence when looking for drivers.. That is my point, whether the driver swears he is the best driver, u still need to follow basic protocol before hiring him ..

Well do your research well my brother.. Castrol been sold in the Nigeria market is different from the USA spec.. The castrol edge is USA spec.. Now the regular castrol full synethic is the green bottle that most cars can use ,that is also usa spec.. Check the bottle very well ..for BMW and audi and range rover require castrol edge... Google is ur friend.. Supperrescue is an expert on oil , he will be the best person to explain better or better yet read through his post. He explained the difference between castrol made for Nigerian market and the ones made in USA.. Please read it and u will fully understand

Nothing is guaranteed in this life.. The purpose of protocols is to reduce your risk factor.. I don't want to be disrespectful o, did u ever take risk management in school .. Now back to the matter for the driver owning me last week, which is another story for another day.. The guy finally called back ,he said when he wanted to make a transfer at the bank. The bank called Effc on him ..because a fraud wired transfer pass through his account, the money didn't enter is account, but it was pass through his account.. So he was picked up by Efcc ,so he called us to explain what happen to him. He still trying to clear his name, so for now the case is still pending till further notice.
Now back to protocol ,the first time the driver owned me the 10k ,if I had put in place the assurance clause at the time , which I didn't think of or have . I think I will be OK by now ..because of that experience I decided to start asking for assurance deposit.. Now if u were a good student ,you would have noticed that I stated that assurance deposit does not solve all the problems, it will help reduce it ,just like car insurance.. So what protocols does is to weed out bad drivers.. If you trust a driver so much ,why do we have tracker in ur car.. A tracker is a form of protocol now abi... think with an open mind bro ..it is a jungle out here .

Relax Bro. Because you are doing business in your own way doesn't mean others would... There are people that still have conscience... They would never default... I for one don't like issues with Police or having issues with people. So if he choose to do his things that way doesn't mean he is not serious in the business and should be praying for his down fall... You can still collect assurance and all papers and the driver would run away with your car and you would never see the guarantor... All this is based on conscience.
