I did a direct switch - no intermediate oil viscosity - straight from 20W 50 to 5W 30.

Been using using fort 20w50 for 1yr plus and am sure the former user used 20w50 too for only God knows when

Thank you, I have started to do this for a while now, I also have other measures to prevent such. Besides any driver that messes me up won't drive again on the platform, I make sure of that. I don't mean this in any demeaning way but drivers have taught me lessons.

Why are you so pained Mr Man? Thought you were a matured human being all along. So you expect me to rush into renting your car when I know inspection can be dicey. If you've been to those centers before you would know what's up. Because uber doesn't do inspection you're there blabbing.

Bring car lemme go and run the inspection, if it passes I rent car, if not I drop it. That was the best I could do.

it will never be the same as those in Yankee. Even total Nigeria is not the same as total France. Not everybody can afford foreign oils. That doesn't mean all those not using foreign oil will damage their engines.

We are not recommending 20W 50. 50 grade oil might be too thick. Like I said 20W, 5W 10W are all the same in our climate... Then follow your manufacturers recommended grade for the second digits.... using the recommended API. I don't trust oando though. What did you do to get your range back to shape? This thread is to learn I believe.

toyota cars made in south africa nd made In USA have diff quality standards.

Same with kia/hyundai cars made for Nigerian market and US market.

draw your conclusions from there.
