Stealth100: This rating we always hammer here is over rated. Oga gazzuzz remember that Toyota Echo I sent someone to bring to your workshop? Its been on the platform for six months now and the driver has never been blocked cos of rating. He is currently at 4.7, better than some with corolla and Camry.
So dru boss, ratings no dey pursue driver as much as you think. So in that case I go buy 00 camry o and put am for the platform. I go buy naija used one. Make I try am sha. |

chillex8: Lol. Issit your car P.S I don't drive dead cars Dumb investors are the ones that give out their car for 30k rental. Especially if the car is either tokunbo or Grade A naija used . Investors have to factor in maintance and how many times they have to change oil . One of the killers of car is sludge, how often do you change your oil? What type of oil will determine how long your car will last. Factor in the cost of synethic oil . For your car to last longer especially high mileage cars it is recommended to use full synethic oil. Do you know how it cost ? At the end of day, it will be a matter of time before the 30k rental dies off. The owners will now be crying and saying bad drivers. It is not bad drivers especially when you don't get value for your money. When you dont factor in the cost to maintain the car. And the driver will move on to the next victims or victim |

ifyeez: My man they can never ever never ever come out to say the market is saturated, the easiest way to know it’s over saturated is, for Taxify they are currently doing advert for people to take 3 trips and get one free, if you’re listening to Soundcity Fm 98.5. And beat fm 99.9. They ve many cars now on the platform and they know if partners/drivers come out and not get rides, they will withdraw there cars and focus on other things. Business gone bad. Also you look at the advert as way for them to steal more customers from their competitors... just because their are giving free rides does not mean the market is saturated. Was the market saturated when taxify drop their price early early 2017 around Feb period? They will trying to steal the market We can agree to disagree respectfully |

Haderbayor123: May be YES, may be NO. But if you talk now, the car owners will ask what the drivers are bringing to the table forgetting that drivers life is more than their investment. I pray God will protect us all from every danger on the road and may the soul of the driver Rest In Peace. Yes RIP to the driver. Every job as is own risk factor. Police officers military personnel, people that clean high rise windows fire fighters, arm robbers wheather the job is legit or not. Nobody is forcing anyone to do these jobs my brother. You factor in what is more risker , sitting home going hungry and your kids can't eat coz food no dey. Or your wife lives you coz you can't be head of the household, or beg for money from morning till nite or starve to death. You have to make choice. You have to weight in the opportunity cost . |

GAZZUZZ: you have no idea the number partners who leave the business every day because of vehicle maintenance issues.
You also have no idea the number of riders that enter the market every day, I have taught a lot of spare part suppliers that it is cheaper to use uber to my workshop than pay Bike 2000 from ladipo Mushin to ogba. Do you think he will not use uber for other activities? The market will soon explode. Mean while from 7pm to 11:11pm I made 7190 yesterday. Very true. And also how many partners are truly making money. How much are you spending on repairs. With me money comes and goes. Some cars make money for me others have to spend money. Like some business don't expect to make money rite away. But I belief once you get the hang of the business you can start making money. Not all business makes profit first year in business.. But I guess as long as you are not adding money to it . Let the business generate money to fix those problems... rite now am not even thinking about profit till I have at least 14cars. For now am just investing more cars . The business is not that easy , as people are rushing in trust some are rushing out too. By the time sludge kills their car they will just focus on having their own personal transportation than putting their car on uber. At the end of the day maintance will run people out of business. Most people can barely maintain their car on a simple bases , talk less of on commercial bases . Rite from time Nigeria business always fails due to lack of maintenance culture... look at the lagos state transportation system ... |

All that is required is to be a good driver and simple common sense.
I decided to test driving on Uber
My first week driving was last week and I did 92k on Uber after Uber deductions and I dont even know Lagos roads, just making use of maps Your input is truly a welcome one. Hope it will motivate others |

ifyeez: It will get worst, over 300 people join both platform daily, too many cars no riders. Out of the 300 how many are good cars? How many are full timers ? Keep in mind rating helps to reduce a lot of cars on the road too. Without rating I think the market might be saturated. So factor in all these points . And for sure it is only the platform that can certainly say if the market is crowded or not. Because they have all data at their fingers tips. We can guess, but I prefer facts |

paroh137: Bro how much? I feel like Hyundai cars are aesthetically appealing but substance-less? Abeg educate me This is tax season now. So cars will be expensive, this one I bought is 1.4m landing cost. The miles is very OK about 111k ,which is not bad. So with low miles people were rushing. Now in terms of toughNess, they seem pretty OK. The bottom line for me is that am still experimenting it for uber. Carshopper is more of an expert than me He uses kia rio, same family as an elantra. So he is a better option to enlighten you. My experience so far? The cars are not bad at for uber and I see a lot of it on naija road. It seems to me for every four corolla on naija road you will see 2 elantras, which was a lot of elantra that I saw. So people do use them, but resale value is not as gud as a corolla . |

Philla80: I have a Camry 2004 (4plugs) this car is tokunbo and just landed last week, in perfect condition, I'm giving out the car on rental for uber/taxify, contact me if ure a driver on uber and taxify, and you live around ojodu, magodo isheri, it's 35k per week, call me on 08035066863 A few words of advice. Do not give that car noting less than 35k a week. Do not let any drivers tell you market is slow and you should do it for 25k to 30k. Factor in that you will need to do the maintance especially oil change yourself every two months or so. And to avoid sludge in your car mobile 1 5w30 and it does not come cheap. You might say wetin concern me. Am an investor and am looking out for other investors too. A word is enough for the wise |
