McDoe: The truth is that these guys do not sleep and they are complaining that the work is no more paying. They maintain their own cars, they fuel, buy data and units for calls. Before the advent of Uber, a ride from Domestic Airport to Lekki used to be between 4500-6000. But now and in some cases, it is between N1500 and N2300 (toll fee inclusive) O boy... were did you get your information from. I just spoke to one of my guys that drives. He made 68k in four days, and the reason he could not drive this weekend coz of car issues. Please let us do our due diligence in our findings. And I keep saying this. These is the reason the rich mingles with the rich. My brother seek advice from people that are doing well. Look at both side of the matter. Surround yourself with people that are doing it good and better. And hopefully their luck will rub on you. Did you read how gazzuz posted his earnings on Friday. Just casual three trips he made like 10k . Does he have three heads. |

Won't you agree that, that particular boy is an 'Omo ale jati jati'(useless bastard) Look deep down your heart. If you are given a choice, would you prefer to be a rich bastard or poor and not be a bastard? Wooooo.... Woooooo.... Woooooo |

Romeo3: There is nothing to be ashamed of here. Driving is a honourable proffesion. Imagine in 25 years time someone trying to use my driving now to score cheap points against my son.
Makes no sense. I don't have issue with someone driving. There is dignity in an honest work. Slavemerchant came after me . He fire the first shot not once but twice. His fellow drivers or supporters decided to join the fight. I don't fight fair, I will bring a gun to a knife fight. That is how I fight. I was only talking to the slave until the others decided not to mind their business. And I advice that slave that there is better work for him in Libya . I told him that uber in Libya are looking for drivers and he should go there and try his luck. But no for some weird reason he will not go or listen to me. |

Won't you agree that, that particular boy is an 'Omo ale jati jati'(useless bastard) Let the general public on this forum be aware. I don't have problems with people driving. I don't look down on any body o. But one thing about me .. I don't fight fair at all . If you come after me in any shape or forum. I will come after you, weather you rich or poor I will show no sign of respect. I will bring a gun to a knife fight. Now that been said. The peasant slavermerchant fire the first shot at me. Not once but twice. And than his supporters decided to join. Boy I take no prisoners. The fight was between me and peasant slave and if you to join and defend the slave boy I will take you down too On another note, whatever work you do in life and you are honest about it. We are all made of flesh and blood, you can die today and be in a freezer while the driver will still be living and enjoying life, learn to guard your mouth, I know you very well and your father drove to sponsor you through school, you can deny it on this platform but like I said I know you very well, don't insult your father indirectly

Make them go oga taxi go collect car nah.
Uber were wat billions refuse to buy cars, despite huge shortage of vehicles, choose to pay 50k referral.
I hav checked ogataxi FB, Twitter, and website no such offer.
If it's that easy walk into any micro finance bank and get a loan.
Since the options investors here are offering is slavery. [/quote

My brother I tire . It was this slave guy looking for my trouble with insults. If you notice he just attack me left and right. So I figure he was peasant driver. I think he is the head of the drivers peasant association. And in the past I advice him to go to Libya to look for job. You known the word slave merchant and Libya go together like one and two. Obviously he didn't go otherwise he wouldn't be insulting me on the thread. You think the people working in Libya would get time to be on the computer. So I don't known for the guy. He needs to carry his other peasant drivers and the ones that likes his comment straight to Libya. And leave uber business for us . Libya is better for people like him. No doubt it's not easy to buy a car not to talk of maintenance.
The truth is the business is not as easy like before. Lord lugard(s) should please take it easy of drivers.
I understand we don't need to attach emotions to business but please have human sympathy even though some drivers don't deserve any sympathy.

The complain of not getting any request, is a way driver want to use in negotiating lower rental fee.
And once you go against their opinion, they come after you. Don't mind them.. That is why some of them remain poor and you see a lot of accidents on the road. They are trying to be rich in one night. I don't mind them at all. |

At the end of the day uber is a hustle. The job can be tough and at the same uber has created a lot of jobs for people in Nigeria. Both for the driver and the investor or investors. That been said
Uber is something you should do while u are waiting to get a dream job or save up to reach a certain goal. People should make note of that. Even if the driver is taking home 100k a week with no stress. It still should be something you do for a while or do it part time. The job can hard or challenging . We all have to start somewere in life. Some of us are very lazy , and we want to be millionaire over night with out stress. We want gift of success and not the curse. And I don't look down on people doing uber at all. In the mist of chaous there is always an opportunity. It has up to the individual to make use of it. Uber has provided a lot of opportunities, which has been a blessing to a lot of people. So people enjoy been a slave and doing a 9 to 5 job. Some don't at the end of the day. I salute all the uber drivers alike keep doing your thing. Plan and strategize and use wisdom. And don't be greedy. Greedness kills a lot of drivers. And this is why wealthy people that started from the bottom are very stingy with there money. When everyone else was looking down on them when they were doings jobs that other people turn down coz of bride. The guy now makes it big by hard work . And u ask him for money and the guys say no. And people get upset . When the man was working 15hrs shift what were you doing at the time. .... And the ones working in an office doing their 9 to 5 . Please continue doing it, but the ones putting in hard work. Don't come and beg them for money or favours once the reach their goals and they made it big. Stick to your 9 to 5. To be honest I prefer people doing 9 to 5. So that people like me can make money in the business world. We cant afford to have too many entrepreneurs . That is too much competition to deal with it |

Stealth100: I dey bro. Me sef manage do 14k gross yesterday despite starting by 1pm and closed at 9:45pm.
I also believe the market is being flooded but it doesn't take anything away from the profitability of the business. No matter the "flood", I still make 40k net on Friday, Saturday and Sunday despite driving a Camry and I am one of the lazy drivers. If I was on rental, I wouldn't have a problem paying 40k, and keeping 30k for myself weekly.
I also have to admit the job is stressful even though I really love driving. Yesterday's work was back to back and my body is really feeling the brunt now. Spent around 3k on drugs this morning.
To prospective drivers that only hear about the money other drivers make, if you know in your mind that you don't have strength, please this job is not for you. Partners no go hear story sey your body dey pain you na why you no work oo. Wow you still try. When uber brought down their requirements to 2000 that's when I was worried. But now am not really understanding. So far none of my drivers are complaining bitterly. So maybe it's the season that people have not recover from their Xmas spending. Thanks for your reply bro ..well appreciated. |
