Romance › Re: Did You Know There Are Some Married Women That Are Doing Olosho In Lagos - Uber by Dshocker(m): 5:59pm On Jun 06
AdisGlobal01:
It was my first week working as an Uber driver in Lagos, and I had no idea that one particular trip would leave me speechless long after it ended.

I was somewhere around the Lekki axis when I received a ride request from a lady. When I arrived at the pickup point, I noticed a man escorting her out of an apartment building. At first, everything seemed normal, but within seconds, a heated argument broke out.

They were dragging over money.

The lady insisted that the payment was incomplete, while the man argued that he had already given her enough. Their voices grew louder, and it became obvious that there was more to the story than I understood. Still, it wasn't my place to interfere, so I simply waited.

Eventually, she entered the car, and we began the long journey toward the mainland.

As we drove, she couldn't stop talking about the money.

Her frustration filled the car.

"This is the third day I've been with him and his friends," she complained. "After everything, he couldn't even give me enough money. He didn't even consider my transport fare."

I remained silent, focusing on the road.

A few minutes later, I noticed through my mirror that she was changing into more modest clothing. I assumed she was heading home and didn't want anyone to recognize the life she had been living.

Then came a moment I never expected.

She suddenly asked if she could "pay in kind" instead of paying the fare.

For a second, I thought I had misheard her.

When I asked what she meant, she casually explained that another driver had accepted such an arrangement before.

I immediately declined.

I told her politely but firmly that I only wanted my fare.

She smiled, took her time getting dressed, and occasionally looked at me as though expecting me to change my mind.

But I didn't.

As we approached her destination, she returned to complaining about the money she had received. She kept saying it wasn't worth everything she had gone through and that she would need to call the man later to demand the balance.

When we arrived, she made a phone call.

Moments later, a man emerged from the house carrying a little child.

The child ran toward her with excitement.

"Mummy! Mummy!"

The woman suddenly transformed.

The same tired, frustrated passenger instantly became a loving mother.

I watched quietly as she stepped out of the vehicle and slowly walked toward them.

Curious, I struck up a light conversation with the man while waiting for my payment.

Trying to joke around, I smiled and said,

"Boss, is that your sister? She's beautiful."

The man laughed.

Then he replied with words that completely stunned me.

"My sister? That's my wife."

I froze.

"My wife," he repeated. "We've been married for three years."

My heart skipped.

He went on to explain that she had travelled for work and had just returned. He even mentioned that he was the one who advised her to take an Uber because she would likely be exhausted from the journey.

As he spoke, I looked toward the woman playing with her child.

Everything suddenly felt surreal.

The entire trip replayed in my mind like a movie.

The argument.

The complaints.

The proposition.

The child calling her "Mummy."

The husband proudly calling her "My wife."

That day, I learned a lesson I will never forget:

You can spend hours with someone and still know absolutely nothing about the life they live behind closed doors.

People carry secrets, struggles, and double lives that are often invisible to the world.

And sometimes, the most shocking stories are hidden behind the most ordinary faces.
And when a man talks or complains about his wife, she calls him an insecured man.

sleek214:
Obi, the despicable, greedy man. He is too desperate. Desperation has caused Atiku the presidency for so long, now Obi has joined the league. His desperation made him picked an islamic fanatic (kwankwanso) to be his VP. He will still come 3rd in the general election but Tinubu will come 2nd while Atiku will finally achieve his dream.
He is truly desperate to save your future, the same future you traded on the alter of tribalism.

Receive sense in Jesus name.

Rice & Beans.
Jollof rice and beans in particular. Any accompaniment is extra.

I can eat this dish almost every day, and I'm sure I wouldn't get fed up with it.

What is that one dish you can eat without getting tired of?

Happy weekend, foodies.
Rice and plantain spikes up your sugar level, beware of diabetes, apart from that, eating rice every day can cause you jaundice ✍️

Keep wondering, mr wonderer, were you expecting God to come down from heaven to come and solve your problem, same problem you created because of your tribal sentiment.!!!

The EU is a very unserious union!

Despite the energy challenges they are experiencing, they still had to waste electricity to power a microphone for Peter!

Is it that they do not have top priorities other than listening to the fictions they are being told.

Moreover, Peter should reduce his carbon footprint . Burning aviation fuel across the globe still won’t make you win! Your defeat is already a constant.

Meanwhile, in a free and fair election, Tinubu that is vastly hated will still beat Donald Duke.

This little Eagle 🦅 fell from high mask some weeks ago, I decided to nurture it, it's extremely stubborn and violent, it eat only raw fresh meat or freshly killed lizard.

This morning I decided to bath it , it was calm and feeling cold and after sunlight exposure, it's resume it violent behavior again.

What i do with it, should I release it or keep nurturing it, I heard it has some medicinal value, or what is the economic value of this little Eagle?.
This is a falcon, not eagle, where you want see eagle catch.
Properties › Re: Have You Ever Lived In This Kind Of House? by Dshocker(m): 11:44am On Jun 05
Olofofo247ng:
I once lived in this kind of house in Mushin. 24 rooms, one prepaid meter, and a single toilet that everybody was expected to wash “after use” but nobody actually washed. My room was sandwiched between Mama Kemi who fried akara by 4am and Brother Taye who was learning keyboard with earphones that didn’t work. So every morning was a remix: akara oil hissing, “Do-Re-Mi-Fa”...blasting from next door, and NEPA doing their own percussion by taking light immediately your water in the kettle starts boiling. The real wahala was the bathroom queue. If you mistakenly forget your bucket outside, you’d meet it converted to eba container by the yard kids, or worse, find Papa Ndu’s wrapper hanging on your line with a note: “Abeg manage am, rain beat me.”

The peak madness was when our landlord’s son installed one CCTV camera facing the corridor after too many slippers went missing. First night, light went and the whole building gathered to watch “playback” with phone torch. We caught Mama Sikiru’s goat chewing the wire, two teenagers kissing by the tank, and Uncle Emma sleepwalking with only a towel and chewing stick. By morning the camera itself had disappeared. Landlord asked who took it, and 15 tenants shouted in unison: “Na NEPA!”...Till I left the house, nobody knows if it was a person or NEPA spirit that stole the camera.
Please don't go back to this trauma again 🤣🤣🤣
