Just curious, second and third notes says no LOA provided, isn't LOA letter of acceptance? Isn't that supposed to be the "admission letter". If it is, didn't the applicant include this is the application package? Thought that would be the first thing in the package. Pardon my ignorance guys!!
We submitted admission letter

Sorry about the delay, anything about finance without funding from the school should be 10m above because the exchange rate now is between 280 to 300.
But he had 5m in his own account and I submitted investment advice of 6m and we already paid school fees
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by dtush(f):
Hello House,

Please i need your advise.

My younger brother's application was just refused and below is the reason it was refused. Those were the only ticked stataments

Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation, I am not satisfied that
you:
have submitted written documentation from the educational institution at which you intend to study
that states that you have been accepted to study there
have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees
for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue

have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself
and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study
have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the costs of
transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada

We submitted his own bank statement with balance of 5m, my own investment statements worth 6m and proof that we paid his school fees to the tune of 6000 CAD. although of the 2m in his account, 2m was a gift for which our aunt signed the gift deed and we included transfer slip.

I am the sole sponsor as our parents are late. I didnt submit my own bank statement though. so i am thinking of resuming it with a balance of 3m in it alongside other things we submitted before, which includes landed documents of our parents and how much we get from it. His school resumes Jan 2018. what is the way forward.

Undergraduate studies. i was thinking we should reapply and since i didnt submit my own statement the first time around. i should submit it this time around

What matters now is the divorce papers. How to get her on board is the issue.
Go to any high court in Lagos. All those charge and bail lawyers will help you out with legal separation papers once you narrate all this to dem. its a case of abandonment

I'm a bit confused here. please explain a little more what you mean. Thanks
I mean you can leave the money in your account. Submitted your SOA and explain in ur LOE that although your wife is the principal applicant, the POF is domiciled in your own account. Or worst case, convert your account to a joint account.

But pple who have received ppr have used this approach and no issues. So my advice, just leave the money in ur bank account or investment account

Thanks for your response, the idea crossed my mind but do i need to attached the SOA of the donor?
No, u don't. Search this thread or the Canadian student thread for sample of gift deed letter. If u read some pages back. Someone got ppr using 100% gift deed. You can reach out to the person

I'm just thinking. Is it not better to turn my account to a joint account with my spouse and use it for EE instead of transferring the POF to her own account since she is the PA?
With a joint account, there won't be any need for explanation about the funds in her account. Does this make sense?
Having the funds in your account is not a biggie. Read through the thread, this has been discussed previously and someone even tweeted IRCC and was told its ok. For comfort, just include a line in your LOE, that you are the main sponsor of the immigration

I was given my POF in cash please advice how i can use this without the large deposit flag....
Abeg na who dey share this cash? i full ground oo. It depends on what stage you are

Why no just have the person do you a gift deed letter and transfer into your account. If not deposit it using the person's name and still have them write the letter.

I still understand a transfer but a large cash deposit will definitely raise eyebrows

Do you mean you don't have anything like "confirmation of online application transmission" or "acknowledgement of receipt" in your CIC account?

Or you have that but no further update afterwards?

I hope it is number 2, then you have no cause to worry. Medical passed will come smiley

Yeah I meant nothing like Confirmation of online application transmission or acknowledgement of receipt. Is it because I submitted a day before the deadline?
I had the same issue. Call CIC contact center find out if your application is in the system first? also did u make payment? which i believe you would have done. I hope you took a screen shot of the payment or receipt , cos they will ask you for payment details (order id and auth code) Once they confirm they can view your payment. Log a web form asap select technical issue. Also log a technical issue from your profile. For me ehen, i logged 2 web forms, 4 technical issues (their fada, lol) and it still took 8 days to resolve

Thanks for this. I have researched on the subject with no clarity. Other financial professional should please advise. Really need to make the decision quickly.

May be a better option is to move the money into fixed deposit in a bank.

Thanks
It depends on you and how you feel about it. But i used ARM's reference for my proof of funds. I got a letter from them and my portfolio print out and also my reference from axal mansard's money market fund. I had just 500k in my salary account. My friend dat did the same got ppr 3 weeks back

Good afternoon house. Please help with these questions from a friend:
1. One of my banks (with my salary account) refused to give a letter that complies with CIC standards. I therefore withdrew the money, about CAD6500 to my other account. How do I prove that the money is mine and that it is not a lump deposit?

2. If I am able to prove the CAD6500, coupled with CAD3000 given to me via a gift deed, do I also have to prove the source of the other amount, given that I had some cash in the other account before?
Explain it in ur LOE just as you have explained to us. In your statement of account you can highlight that credit and simply state u had the money in another account and u lumped it up into one account.

Shebi u work, u dont av to explain ur source of income, your money na your money. Just d
have the person giving the 3000 CAD do a letter of gift deed

Since the account is your salary account, still print the statement and include in your LOE that the FI stated that they do not give CiC compliant letters

Before you start looking for friendly cities and other thgs. Do u av ur ielts results? Have u done your credential evaluation? Any idea of the required POF and how to secure it
Those shld be your focus now. Do a crs score simulation using LRSW 8777. Find out your score and work towards getting into the pool.
I also applied as a single mom. So all I did was include a consent letter from her father. Letter of single mother at high court and PPR go soon fall.

A friend of mine who got PR from express entry just got a really good job in Ontario and she hasn't even landed! She doesn't have any foreign experience and no foreign education. She works with a "multinational" in Naija.

I would soon post my story too! With God all things are possible.

I believe you can . Raise a cse to change composition of family. I believe there is a form for it with a LOE and your parents death certificate together with any legal document You have. i neleive you will be contacted to do his medicals and all other necessary th' ngs. You can also ask them on Twitter. It's best you include him now since he's still a minor . You wil only pay 150CAD.
Thanks. doing that asap. I intend to include extra proof of funds to meet up the requirement for a family of three. death certificate of both parents, affidavit of legal guardianship i had done in 2016 and letter of explanation. i hope that is fine.

Hello House,

I just wanted to ask if been a single parent limits your chances of PPR. A friend is interested but she is a single parent although she has sole custody of her child and the father is willing to sign a consent letter saying is aware they want to relocate and he is fine with it, since the guy has moved on already and someone else is pregnant for him, which is what lead to the marriage break up. The child in questions is 2 years old and an american citizen

My sister, i am still on it oo. Infact coming to this thread now is depressing. I called the CIC contact center again yday and was told they cant view my checklist documents although they can see i made payment. so i was asked to fill a web form and submit that there is nothing they can from there end.

i have submitted the web form and i got a message saying it takes 10 working days for them to get back to me. They should just cancel it and i will fill everythg again if they cant find it.
Its some sort of technical glitch or something

SOP -statement of purpose, SOA- statement of account. Do you have dependants? Wife kids? If not the cash along side your investments would be ok. Since your aunt is paying into his account, I guess you don't really have any issue there and I would also advise you deposit the amount you intend to support his studies into his account.
4. It all depends on the route you want to use, paper or online. If its paper you submit all the required cic forms along with the necessary documents to VFS. Its not at ikeja, its at ikate.

Please I sent u a pm. I promise I won't be a bother but I would rather not put all my personal biz out dere. Kindly accept please. The online thg is better please

Cic forms are electronic,
1. List the abbreviations you don't get. The Thread applies to UG not just masters.
2. You didn't state the tuition, that would determine if the cash you have will fly. Its best she pays the money into his account & possibly write a letter of sponsorship.
3. You can pay.
4. Of course you can.

The gurus in the house would give detailed answers.
Regards
Thank you for your swift response
SOP is used quite a lot.
2. Based on the admission letter, tuition, hostel and feeding and personal living expense will be about 23k CAD
3. She is paying the money into his account and writing a gift deed letter in which she also states that the 2m naira will be annual, that is she will give him 2m for 4 years, till his program is complete
4. Also, we print all the forms and submit at VFS in ikeja right?

Thanks
