Good evening house,
Please i need all the help i can get. My younger brother just got admission for his undergraduate program in Canada. I am the sole sponsor of the program
Basically just need heads up on how to go about this, i saw some forms to fill on CIC website. do we print and fill dem or is it electronic? how do i even create a file for him. He is 17 years old
1. I scanned through the tread most of the information is relating to masters and the likes plus there a quite a number of abbreviations, i catch up fast just require help 2. I have investment (near cash like t-bills and investments with investment companies) and cash to the tune of 11 million and an aunt wants to give a 2 million naira gift deed for his education. Should this money be paid into my account or his? and is this balance sufficient for his visa application? And she will write a letter for the gift deed 3. we intend to pay 50% of the fee before application 4. Our late father has a building worth about 20 m can we include details of it
Please just a point in the right direction |

Hamiltondreamer: Raise a CSE, there is a space for that in your profile page. You should upload all stamped pages to show all you travels. So this means I have to do this for me and my daughter. But the passport I have the stamped pages is not the one I am using for this application, as I just renewed. So do I explain all this too? |

Kontagious: You need a perfect understanding of the whole process to have your application sail through seamlessly. Ask questions (like you did) where you feel you need assistance regardless of how silly you might think the question is... Participants of this thread have been trained to be tolerant of each other.
You should have all documents handy for you to submit, the documents I know are listed below; Your medicals form PCC for countries applicable Work Reference letter(s) ECA + IELTS TRF + Degree certificate for evuluated degree(s) - all in one document Your Passport data page + stamped pages Marriage Certificate + Proof of change of name POF.
If you have dependents, for spouse; Medical form PCC Passport data page + stamped pages ECA + IELTS TRF + Degree certificate (if he did ECA or Ielts, whichever is applicable)
For child(ren) Medical form Birth certificate Passport data page + stamped pages PCC (for those above 18).
Then you have to pay the application fee (at the least) or plus RPRF to be able to submit. Once you are through completing the post ITA form, the system will generate your fee based on your family composition and your response to if you'd be paying RPRF upfront.
Please ehn, ask questionsssss cause this your question shows you need guidance, plenty. Many of participants here are more than willing to guide you. Ha, I didn't include stamped pages of my passport oo. Temi ba mi. I didn't include them because the stamped pages are in my old passport and I just got a new one which I used for my application as that one has less than six months to expiration. Neither did I include for my daughter too. I just scanned the data page. What do I do please |

yimiton: I hope you've received your AOR now? If you haven't, I don't think you have any reason to panic. It's clearly written on CIC's website that it might be late and if in 5 days you still haven't received it, you should contact them here and report a technical issue. I pray you don't have to.
I hope you've booked medical and taken your passport photo? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp Hi, not yet oo. Just got of the phone with them now. The person I spoke to said he can confirm that NY application is in the system. That it should be sorted out soon. As for medicals and passport photo, I did all that post ITA and submitted already with my documents. Let's keep in touch. Seems we are in the same boat |

My status was on confirmation of application transmission (like yours) for more than 24hours and I only wondered why people call it "AOR", lol. My AOR came the next day and the letter carried the date it was issued. Thank you. Will chill till end of the day |

boldinc: I doubt that can be done... But if that's the case, you can go ahead and apply for his student visa.
With regards to your POF, after payment of his fees, would you still have the required amount required for your family size? Not sure a projected income would work. Yes, i would. I will include my projected income in his student application just to increase his chances Thanks a lot |

boldinc: Is your younger brother included in your PR application? If yes, you might need to get some sort of adoption papers (not sure if that can be done for siblings, if it can be done... you will have no issues). I am suggesting this because siblings cannot be included in your PR application. Also, he might be above 18 years from what I gather... you need to confirm if adding him is a possibility.
If for any reason you can successfully include him in your application, I do not think you need to apply for a student visa. PR will be good enough and even better. He is 17 years old and will be 18 next year May. And he is not included in my application but is dis somethg that can be done? |

Good morning house,
I submitted my application last week and ITA was given yesterday.
But am in a dilemma.
1. My younger brother whom I am the sole guardian (parents are late) has applied for admission in some Canadian universities and we should be submitting his application soon for January resumption.
2. Can I still go ahead to process my ITA without any issues provided that my POF will be intact after paying his school fees. Of which 50% of the fees will be paid even before we apply for his visa.
3. I hope it won't be seen as double counting of funds and do I include a detailed explanation of this in my application as well as the student visa application. Along with my projected income in the coming year. I just got a new job. So the monthly salary is small but u get lump sums after every 6 month. I.e 6 months, 1 year e.t.c.
4. We Av a projected salary calculator. So can I get HR to sign on it and include in the study application
5. Also, I run an informal biz. No registered company profile. I use my salary account and other account for the business. I supply all sorts. I have some invoices giving me the contract but mostly it's informal. Where I make an average of say #200K monthly but no real structure
Please just advice. So I will really like him to resume by Jan and I don't want to hurt my own chances either |

mcobex: I don't think u need to tell them u intend selling ur building if u haven't sold it. Well a payslip, reference letter , employment letter from ur place of work will do. then also try and submit all ur investment papers as well and it has to show that u can access those investments whenever u need them (for paying of fees and his living expenses ). if it will be possible to pay ur brother's tuition fee before he applies for his visa it will be a big plus on ur side. Also, apart from ur siblings do u have any other dependants (like children or are u married )? your brother stand a great chance of getting the visa but try and cover yr tracks when it comes to fund cos that's where my fear is, The vo will like to know how financially capable u are to sponsor ur brother and still be able to carter for urself a blend ur remaining siblings, once u can prove that u have enough of fund to do that then u are good to go. Secondly, if u can't raise such funds to cover everything(cos I don't know how much ur investment is worth) then I eill advise u get a co-sponsor that will help reduce the financial burden from u. Hope am able to touch some parts of ur questions? Gurus in the house should help here Thanks a lot for taking out time to answer my questions. 1. I am married and have a child, but her dad takes care of her upkeep and all expenses relating to her. I just support. Also, i have another sibling who is older than him, but she is done with Uni, and working earning an average of 80k per month, so i dont av any financial obligations towards her. 2. paying the fees will not be a problem, dat can be arranged 3. As for my investments, how much shld i have? a rough estimate. I can make the funds happen. Worst case i will get from my hubby or family and have in my account. 4. I tot of the land since i dont have any landed properties myself and felt it might be a good economic tie 5. I also intend to apply for visa, so i can go with him to his school and help him settle in Thanks |

Please guys, dont skip this. Help me torch light this matter dtush: Good morning house,
My younger brother recently applied for admission for Computer Science. I am the sole sponser for his programme as well as his legal guardian since our parents are late. He is 17 years old
In preparation for his student visa application,
I just wanted to be sure on the documents i will need to make available.
My yearly package from work is about 10m, i want to know if i should include that as well as reference from my HR at work
I dont believe in leaving cash fallow in a savings account so my funds are tied up in different near cash instruments such as tbill and Money market funds with an investment company. So my bank account is just for day to day transactions and receiving my salary. So in this case will proof of my tbills as well as statement of account from the investment firm suffice. The investment firms are well known in Nigeria
Also, how much will i need to have? his school fees and feeding e.t.c, will be max of say 6m per annum based on the schools we chose.
Also, our parents had a building. which is worth about 12 to 15m. I was thinking me and my siblings can all swear an affidavit, saying worst case scenario, the asset can be disposed to fund his education
Also, i have a side business, not a registered company or anything. Just that i get contracts to supply various things and get paid, which i make an average of say 200k from monthly
Kindly advice on how i can package all this |

4tiwa: #sos# Good day house. I want to say a big thank u you all for all the information that has been shared on this platform. Pls am in a big dilemma. I just had my baby to the glory of God.am being told now that he needs to have a hearing test which is mandatory by law. The test however is not in the package I got and it is not discounted for.it comes at a fee of 500$. Am confused as this is quite high for me.am considering refusing this test buy they say I'll have to sign a refusal form Ave been trying to consult pple some say I should do it since it's mandatory by law of the state others say if I don't have the money and it's not goin to be discounted for I should refuse it sign the forms instead of been stranded or been boxed to receiving any form of financial aid Pls house I need your timely advise as ave told the lady to come while I decide on what to do. Let me add that i delivered via an unplanned caesearean which added a new twisty to the all situation. Has there been any body that refused the test of this kind, any consequence later for the child or future application. Thank u so much Responses anticipated in earnest Hi, i gave birth at oakbend and i also refused the hearing test. I was made to sign a waiver, which i did. On the flip side the hearing test has helped quite a number of people in form of early detection. I think a mother previously wrote about how they noticed some abnormalities in her baby's ear through the test and they were able to quickly rectify it. So in this case to each own. Its a decision you have to make for yourself |
