Thanks alot for the reply.
Treasury Bills sound like a good idea, however is it still necessary to show 6 months SOA with that?. My account has been in semi-shambles lately. Lol.
Should I just start Treasury Bills now? Planning to enter the pool by early May hopefully, subject to my ECA report being ready.
As at when I applied I had like 50K in my salary account. I almost never have money in my salary account. I think the salary account is to future proof your employment. T-bills or money in dom is fine. As far as you can proof the money is in your custody.

Please can someone answer? Thank you
The previous visa denial FTD seems true in most case. But u never can tell, u could be an exception. LVO is also not a death sentence. You will just exercise a lot of patience, as your application can take between 3 months to a year.

I accompanied my ADR with a well written LOE to explain and state facts

Congrats again!
Yes I did. I ordered in Oct and received it in November. It didn't tell me much as LVO had not done anythg on my file as at when I received it

Good morning house,

Please i will appreciate any response pointing me in the right direction.

My brother was recently rejected for his student visa application to canada. We have decided to turn our sights to the US. His desired course is Computer Science. He has not written TOEFL or SAT.

I will appreciate your help in recommending schools that are not too expensive as i am his sole sponsor, and schools that do not require SATs or TOEFL as i dont want his to waste another year sitting at home. and how to go about applying. Since he is a minor, i will have to go with him for his interview.

Thanks in advance

Thanks @bbaby84 for the swift response. could you please enlighten me on the content of this letter I'm to send to this visa office. Thanks
I think you should call CIC. Explain to the agent as u Av typed. Dey will be in a better position to assist you. You can then file a formal complaint against the representative. Just make sure u have proof of payment.

If the representative is registered with them. They will send him a mail compelling him to share information with you.

I almost went with Canreach before I discovered this thread. So I had a lengthy discussion with an agent (I called the CIC) and the agent explained the various thgs they can do to assist in a case like urs. Before I decided to do it myself

In my opinion you should inform CIC, add as much evidence you can get to show that it is one and the same company. In ur linked in you can state it as eg- XYZ LTD (formerly known as ABC ltd)
Thanks. A mail containing the press release and SEC approval of the change of name should suffice. Also Shld I just send it as a mail to my Local visa office or do I go through the route of raising a CSE. And I have the former name of my company in my LinkedIn

Hello house. My company recently re-branded and changed its name. Is this somethg I need to inform CIC or my local visa office about? Cos we all had to change our LinkedIn profiles to reflect the new name.

Was hoping u would see this new update, glad u have. I think u should call them again since this is a recent development. Wish u luck

Please let me know how this goes. I also have a 17years old brother I would love to add given that our parents are late. Just skeptical to add cos I didn't legally adopt him and it's too late to do that now. Although I called their contact center a while back and was told I could not add him. Although the agent was not too sure. I was think of sending a mail to my local visa office to ask if I can include him. Not know if that is a good idea though given the way almighty LVO dey behave
Thanks will call them on Monday. House is it a good idea to send a mail to London VO. To ask if I can include him. I will attach all supporting documents in the mail (death certificates and sworn affidavit of legal guardianship) since dey will be the ones to approve

Hello dtush, pls I need further clarification on the bold part. My additional documents changed to " we do not need additional documents" last week from "additional document submitted is being reviewed" does that mean my application has been transferred to LVO? I had ADR in September.
The status update does not necessarily mean it has been transferred to London VO. But it could have been transferred to a local visa office. You can send a mail to find out. Although, finding out does not mean u can do anythg to speed up the process. Na to just pray they pick up your file.

Chai...wish i was about to give my PPR testimony speech, e for sweet. Lol grin. Coming soon....

On the contrary, I'll like to find out on behalf of a friend if it's possible to adopt an 18 year old orphaned nephew and add to their application. The nephew has been living with them for a long time now. Their application has been submitted and they are at NA2 and POF is more than enough to accommodate another person. If possible, please how can they go about it? The parents' death certificates are available.

Thanks as i await all your responses
N o u cant and i say this cos i made enquiries. I tried to adopt my brother who is my legal dependent but was told the age a minor must be to qualify for adoption is 16 years. so e don pass

Good evening house,

I trust you all had a good day. Please i would like the house to advice me on an issue. I have been on NA2 for over 30days now and going by trends, i expected my application to have gotten to a LVO/VO at this stage. To my surprise when i asked CIC for my visa office yesterday, i was informed that my application was still at centralized intake office Sydney and yet to be transferred to a local visa office.

If any one has been in this situation before kindly share your experience. Isn't eligibility test done at NA2 stage and at the local visa office?

Look forward to your response(s). Thank you
Based on some analysis on immtracker and pple's input on Canadian visa forum. It takes about 6 weeks for ur file to get transferred. Mine too 7 weeks before it was transferred to LVO. I know of someone whose file took 3 months before transfer. So you are still on course. To when when your file has been transferred, your additional documents status will change to "we do not need additional documents"

Good morning people,
Congratulations to all PPR recipients, one day one day it will be our turn.

Please I want to ask: is there anyone here who successfully applied without spouse accompanying but with dependent children. Will it work against the applicant in anyway, especially if the applicant is a woman.

I would appreciate responses from everyone including friends' or relatives' experiences
I am not an expert on the subject matter and i dont know about the" successfully" bit as ppr never fall on me. My application dey LVO. But i am applying for my daughter and i. Ur own case might be different from mine . So i have a letter from the court stating i am a single mother, her dad signed from IMM 5604 for non accompanying parents, which i just raised a CSE to include this morning and i also included a hand written letter of consent to process her migration to canada in my application before guy man go say e he no write am. So in ur case u can get ur hubby to sign the IMM 5604 and letter of consent saying he is fine with u migrating with the kids

Austinpee4:
Hello ma'am,
If you had gone through few pages of this particular part of the thread, you would have seen similar situation of your bro as well as suggestions to the answer you seek.
Nevertheless, the issue in his refused application is straight forward enough.

1. It appears the offer letter of admission from the DLI(school) was not included in previous application, ensure you include it in the next application showing details of the applicant and other necessary details.

2.Undergraduate study is usually financially demanding on the sponsor(s) or applicant.
4 years of financial commitment is no joke. Officers will not just ensure that the applicant meet the requirements but also determine that the financial support will be sustained. Not including your statement of account as the sponsor would have stalled officers from reaching a conclusion that you earn an income that is sustainable for you/family and the applicant. They will determine that funding will be sustainable in all circumstance(You,applicant and other miscellaneous spending)
Pay his full tuition for one year, open a dom account and have an equivalent of 10,000CAD or more in it. Add your account statements with some available balance, if possible too, add any other source of income with proofs.

Note: The stronger the financial capability(ies), the better.

3. Add an affidavit of financial support

Regards.
Thanks a lot. I copied no 1 in error. It was not ticked. All they ticked was financial and all.

Would you advise that we reapply asap. But the follow are some facts.

After we submitted he transferred the 5m to me. To which I have used 2.5m to purchase dollars which is currently in my dom account. Because I got opportunity to purchase dollars at bank rate. I have some money. So I can submit my bank statements and investment again.

I did a breakdown of what we earn from my parents landed properties to which some can be highlighted in my bank statement.

I also intend to include my younger sister's bank statement and investment letter to proof she is not my dependent as she works now.

I will also highlight inflows from my daughter's father. Showing he is financially responsible for her.

Is it worth giving another shot

The kind of business I do does not have structure. Cos it's buying and selling. Although I make about 200K monthly
