thanks your information was quite helpful. Went through dtush post and i actually used the West Houston Birthing Center. The same she used for her interview before changing to oakbend. My mind is now at ease really.
Nne, i didnt use the birth center for my visa application oo. I only asked about using it on the thread. The fact dat it was so cheap was quite tempting but DH no wan hear am esp given that its my first baby. Although i know of two nigerian mums in Houston at the moment using the birth center. They used a diff doctor's correspondence and hospital for their visas n ported to the birth center.

Hello house,

in the spirit of giving back.

I had my visa appointment on monday. Getting the appointment itself was war. I had previously scheduled an appointment for lagos (Aug 3rd) since july 4th. Only for me to get an email from the embassy dat dey have postponed my appointment till Aug 25th. and i need to travel by 1st week in Sep lastest ( before i am 34 weeks).

Na so i used faith to cancel the thg. Filled another DS-160 form, paid another visa fee and chose abj. Someone told me to start monitoring the appointment page from 12am everyday to get a closer date, na so i resume work like yahoo boy. I finally got for Aug 17th but unfortunately or fortunately i could not book DH's appointment with my own. So i booked him for another day( waiting for testimony on his). Na so i carry my kaya. Abj here i come. Our local airline said dey dont carry more dan 28 weeks, n since my belle

Although, in case of complications they are just 1km from west houston memorial hospital. i have correspondence from the birth center and that is what i intend applying for my visa with. The total cos for delivery, labs, prenatal and postpartum care is 4000 dollars, and with discounts can reduce to about 3,300. I also bo0ok an hotel near the birth center. I hope i am good to go. Hello ladies, i am new to this thread and will appreciate all the help i can get. i am five months pregnant and i plan to have my baby in the US. i am just starting my visa application process. I intend to apply alongside my husband. Please i will appreciate if someone can work me through this process. My husband has an uncle i can stay with in Jonesboro, Atlanta , Georgia. How much do we need to have in our account please. My husband is the main sponsor. we intend to start now and apply for our visa by end of this month. And does anyone have any doctor or hospital recommendation in Atlanta.

Also, i am yet to change from my maiden name. Is dat a problem. Please help as i have no relatives to stay with me should i have the baby in nigeria as both parents are late.
TravelRe: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by dtush(f): 2:05pm On May 27, 2015
Dear VO, I intend to apply for a visiting visa with my husband. We recently got married and i am not in a hurry to change my name ( my maiden name for his surname) because,
1. The process to change and reapply for a new passport is quite tedious and tiresome.
2. I reside in Lagos and was informed that i have to travel to abuja to change it.
3. I also do not believe in spending money for things are avoidable, because my current passport still has about 3 years before expiration.
4 We have evidence of marriage in form of marriage certificate, pictures from various ceremonies from the wedding.
5. My husband is ok with me using my maiden name for as long as i want..

Can i apply?
