I have an enom account. I hardly use it though as they got issues with cute black brothaz from my country, Nigeria  Bottom line, deny your Nigerian identity if you wonno get a working account with 'em. Namecheap is pretty cool. Domains go for about 9.xx usd per annum. When it comes to domains and where to register them, pricing is the last on my priority. Functionality and stability tops the priority list. In most cases the cheaper they get the more forked up their services end up being. |

A webdesigner does NOT need photoshop. For one it is expensive (well many of us wont know that as we dont buy software). secondly photoshop cannot handle an image as fireworks would with its ability to handle vector/raster images. Thirdly, its clear photoshop isnt meant for the web, else why will i have to do stuff here, export to fireworks, do more stuff export back to photoshop, do more more stuff and export back to fireworks. . . yada yada. For the love of web graphics optimization, fireworks is the way forward. Well this is strictly my opinion and that of some adobe developers. feel free to disregard :p. |

Aight. Personally, this year I will be using CMS for most stuff. I will only resort to from-the-scratch handcoding if its gun-in-head-ready-to-shoot necessary. Its good to note though, with CMS I still do pretty much handcoding. I just like the ease. If i'm working around you, you'll hear me say things like "thank God for CMS", "thank God for CSS", "thank God for Firebug" e.t.c. I am trying to write a few modules for drupal that i'll release to the community soon as theyre tested and working almost flawlessly. |

I dont use Joomla so i'll speak about Drupal. There's nothing you cannot incorporate into drupal cms. Drupal lets you fix your own codes anywhere. You can turn an already made drupal theme inside-out if you know your way around CSS and using Firefox's Firebug extension. Talking about comments, all big CMS frameworks have a very rich community of developers who support it and a very rich API documentation. Opensource. |

I will also suggest you slice your graphics into DIVs and position them with CSS rather than using the Export Fireworks Html feature. That feature produces dirty codes and slices your whole work into too many pieces. |

Now, why will anyone start handcoding a wordpress replica when you can use wordpress? Let handcoding work for you, not the other way around.
