It is indeed disheartening that the APC National Chairman has continued to disparage his office and age by making series of unguarded and inflammatory utterances and issuing statements laced with fabrications and wild allegations while leading his party like a frustrated rebel group desperate for political control; and whose understanding of
opposition is crass unruliness and a culture of irresponsibility.

Chief Oyegun has only succeeded in disappointing many Nigerians who thought his coming to office will result in a more responsible and constructive opposition.

Instead, the reprehensible image of the APC as a party that has nothing good to offer has worsened under his watch

In the last two months, he has made more incendiary statements aimed to incite the people and balkanize the nation than any other opposition chairman has done. The threat to form a parallel government and other inflammatory statements at APC events readily come to mind.

Our advice to the opposition is that they should learn to properly comport themselves, eschew bitterness, desperation and divisive tendencies and think of how to make meaningful contributions to tackle the challenges facing the nation.

On his own part, Chief Oyegun, as a former state governor should retrace his steps and strive to be nationalistic and statesmanlike and comport himself as an opposition leader. For now, he is a little more than a glorified media assistant. A word is enough for the wise.

I think there is a bigger picture to the decamping. Its kind of reducing the likely younger generation that could be used to for the presidential post in the opposition ranks.The APC needs to begin massive grooming of possible candidates to float from multiple zones of interest that can make waves.Cos right now the options are becoming slimmer.With this the treat of a Ribadu candidacy for presidential is lost in the opposition.
I fear that more will decamp after the primaries.Only consolation is that same could happen in the PDP too. Even with that APC seems more prone to losing members. As they have little to offer as consolation for people that lose primaries compared to the ruling PDP.They would have more to dangle (contracts,appointment & bribes etc).It will boil down to the Nigerian people to salvage the nation if...rice matter,intimidation & BH is not used!

The issues with people like you; is that as much as you may sound intelligent, you still thinks PDP is the problem of Nigeria and APC is the solution.
Only sycophants think that way. I just had a mixed feeling when I read your last sentence because I can interpret it in so many ways that can easily show what you really think. Initially you were doing good. In my family I have both PDP chieftains and APC chieftains. In fact My mother was a secretary in SDP while her eldest brother was a top man for Tofa of NRC.

Even if APC wins at the centre in 2015, 80 percent will move to the ruling party. In my Undergraduate days in Edo state, I knew some persons in PDP government, Today the same people are still in APC ruling the state.

Look at the trend of the popular elections before Osun. (Ondo, Edo, Delta central senatorial,Anambra, Ekiti and Osun) These elections made all news headlines because of the interests involved. Check out the statistics and infer.

If APC lost osun, their morale would have been so low that they may not easily have a presidential candidate.

I supported APC in Osun; any one saying just because of Osun election APC will win at the center, is just encouraging him/herself.
