You know the word fascia in architecture refers to the band/strip that runs horizontally and covers the exposed ends of the roof rafters or trusses. Customarily, Roof Fascia is used in conjunction with soffit.

Fascia is made of wood, concrete, precast, or aluminum as the construction choice maybe. Mean while that is what our people refers to and understands as parapet so we call it thus in order to communicate with laymen


Nevertheless that is not parapet. Parapet is mainly seen in the northern part of the country and parapet and fascia are not for the same purpose. Below is pics for a parapet
