The guy has fantastic vision, passing skills including long passes and good technique to boot. Not to mention his positional discipline and anticipation are top notch.

We lost to Spurs at Old Trafford, but in Whitehart lane they were lucky to get a draw against us, Jones was used to pad our midfield they couldn’t get going.

Jones went on to play many more games in midfield and having a run there. Even against Stoke City.

Wanyama is a total DM and not a holding midfielder who transition the play. All he did was to recover the ball/get the ball from his defenders and pass it to better ball playing players or to Schneiderlin who carries the ball forward or plays it forward.
Schneiderlin ability on the ball is better than Wanyama but then, not by much.

derlin is very decent on d ball,but it just seems that under lvg everything has gone bad..now hes at risk for euros

Why are we playing Rooney as box to box, why can't we play Schneirderlin there and Rooney allowed to compete with Lingard and Herrera? Rooney's first game he did well behind the striker, why play him prematurely in midfield? I think he should be fighting for the more advanced positions while Schneirderlin played his natural position if he is actually an original box to box midfielder.

That should tell us our players can't ply the possesion game to begin with. Apart from the ageing Carrick who's leg is gone, none of our midfielder are capable of playing the possession game. Why did you think Herrera was never called to the spanish team because his possession game is awful. The likes of Payet, Lazinni are far better and agile in possession that any donkey we have as midfielders!
