Hi guys. I’m planning on sitting for the CISA exams later this year. From your experiences so far, is this still a suitable option for one who wants to grow in their professional career as an auditor? Secondly, for those of you that studied with tuition centres, which would you recommend? I only knew about A.J Silicon before now but I've just heard about RhyteX. I’m confused as to which of them to enrol with. Your help and advise will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
LegendHero: This project is the collaboration between the Federal government and the private sector.
Buhari Government tried their best to support and make sure the project is bought to fruition. Good that President Tinubu continue the support.
It seems the private company themselves are the one that invited President Tinubu to commission the project.
Why they don’t invite the Agulu fraud Obi call for concern. Make Obedient people no go burn the facility out of hate.
This is 2024 for goodness sake. Can’t we just leave this bitterness aside and focus on how to make our country better. It’s nauseating coming online to see ethnic groups calling one another names. It’s really really sad. 🤦🏼♂️
fullclub: my dream was that immediately I came over, i and my dependant will search for jobs.. work and pay bill. but that is not feasible as I am seeing it.
i started this process with 15 million naira then when naira nose dive i had to borrowed extra 15 million to top it with interest of almost 2 million naira. landed in uk, started seeing the reality on ground
i have been in UK since 1 month plus. but getting a job as a migrant or new commer without UK experience is not easy. in fact i have sent over 200 job application for cleaner, care assistant etc but all came with a sorry we have moved on to the next stage or you don't have uk experience.
school fees has to be paid. everyone here in tight corner... school has sent mail threatening to report to the immigration if school fees is not paid in the next few weeks to most Nigerians here.
no job, house rent is expensive.. going for 450 to 600 pounds per month.
travelling through student route is not really easy because you have to balance between work and school.. 'even at that where is the job as a new migrant.
Please if you are considering coming to UK for now.. please put on hold. the crowd from Indians, Pakistani, Malaysia, china etc is overwhelming.
it's not worth selling your home to be here.
i sleep in indeed and all this job site.. still yet nothing, bills mounting up.
all my colleague i came with are still with no jobs in other cities
after spending 13 million coming here with extra 3k dollars now almost exhausted chai
if u know you don't have full school fees, house rent for 12 months, upkeep.... running to 35m to 40m please stay back... stay back or apply through skill route.
edited with more info.
Sorry about what you are going through. Truthfully, it is not easy moving to a foreign land and settling in. However, I’d advise that you move to a shared apartment. That way you’ll pay less for accommodation. Secondly, while job hunting, register with Agencies as well. There are Agencies around that give shifts to students. Also, network with fellow Nigerians. There are lots of jobs available out there but just not on Indeed. Also walk into these places to apply directly. It works almost all the time.
Artiiclebeast: You are calling a closet enemy a friend?
I pity you, bro.
He gets a hard-on from reading about and knowing that he's doing better than you economically and material-wise and all the respect and worship you've been according to him will become a thing of the past.
Most of them hate competition and always revel in the reality of being the ones at the center of all attention.
Even if you are 50 and able to move to the U.S., get serious, work legitimately for the next 5-7 years, and call it a wrap, you will have successfully settled your downlines and created a wonderful retirement plan for yourself with proper planning.
Move, if you can, and with the right plans and connect.
It is good to skill up, but if you ain't got it, you ain't got it and it isn't the beginning and end of life.
There are a ton of zero-skilled jobs where you can make the equivalent of what you currently earn in a month in Nigeria in just a single day..yeah, you heard me right, in a dayyyyy.
*Edited*
For those quoting me to say what they know nothing about or just getting pissed that I might be encouraging people to come compete with them, I no blame una, it is the usual hoarding of information by Nigerians because they want to be the only ones making it and revered in their locality.
In the U.S., every other nationality are united and supportive of themselves with information and intelligence sharing to prosper together. But Nigerians? Neverrrr. Dem go dey buga dey talk from nose...
Come see Haitians, Moroccans, Kenyans, Hispanics, all having agencies and supporting their people with jobs to survive....
Kapish
Absolutely spot on! I don’t k ow what’s wrong with we Nigerians. Come to the UK and you will see Zimbabweans and Indians doing everything to help their people move over here and settle in but as for Nigerians, their specialty is to discourage their people and are always unwilling to help. Indians will register an Agency and help loads of their people to move over. Same with Zimbabweans. But our own case is always different! It’s crazy. For anyone who cares to listen, I’ll always say it, leave Nigeria! Travel and if you don’t have the right skill set, work on yourself to level up while doing minimum wage jobs in the meantime. It will fetch you enough to sustain yourself. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!!!
I will give my advice from the perspective of being a first hand witness to someone who also left this country with his family. He was approaching 50, had 3 young kids and was a civil servant with one of the Federal Government agencies in Abuja. He left the country for Canada through the Provincial Nominee Program. I can tell you quite emphatically that he is doing really really well now in Canada. He left Nigeria in early 2020. He now has his own house which he got late last year as well as living a very comfortable life over there. I will advise anyone who cares to listen, except you are doing extremely well in Nigeria, if you have the means, leave the country to better countries. My 2 cents.
Dikwa! That man. If he could move $76m, then imagine how much the minister of Finance under PMB would have stolen. And Dikwa wrote books about public financial management. Little did we know that he was helping the nation manage the money personally. This one na the physical cash for one location o. Imagine the ones in bank accounts overseas and the properties that would have been bought. My Country!!!
DoTheNeedful: The result of one local government in Kano will take care of the 7,000 deficit in Katsina. The KKKs have reduced to a K now. Let's see what happens in Kaduna.
The same Kano that Kwankwaso is doing the Lord’s work already? 😂
kaludestiny10: So prof Ikonne finally kick bucket. The man no cook himself very well before agreeing to work for governor Okezie Ikpeazu. Chai, na so my former course mate take become fatherless. If for say Prof no join active politics, him for still dey alive.
This incident happened on Friday 8th August at Zone 1 Abuja. Please those who can, should help with a clearer image of these guys so it can be circulated. I believe their apprehension will help to prevent further reoccurrence of such acts around the streets of Abuja.
P.S: The two videos were captured from two different CCTVs.
MODS, Lalasticlala, Mynd44 and the elders should please push this to the front page for wider circulation.
Please my car was broken into on Friday 6th August. There is a CCTV footage of the incident. I’ll need the expertise of technical experts to get the clear faces of the criminals and if possible, their vehicle plate number so they can be tracked and prevented from further perpetuating crimes. This happened at Zone 1, Wuse Abuja, where I parked to pick up stuff from an office. From the video you will see that they came with a car and this happened in broad day light. Whoever can should please help out. We need to do our little to stem the rise of crime in our land.
Waywardchild: The people are in obedience to IPOB the one biggest family.
Buhari and any APC agent is not welcomed in Igbo land.
I’m Igbo but mehn, I can’t help but laugh at the idiocy of this. Who is suffering from this directive please? How does it in any way affect PMB? As a matter of fact, if I were PMB’s publicist, this will work for our good. I’ll tell the whole world that the Igbos love PMB so much that they shut down their businesses to go and grant him a rousing welcome for the great things he has done for them . With these pictures and a few other pictures of some projects, the world will come to believe that PMB loves the Igbos and they love him as well. Y’all should continue fooling yourselves. Lock your shops for the whole month, whose source of revenue is suffering? You think it’s PMB’s?
In the run up to the 2019 General Elections, the Progressives Governors forum pleaded with Tinubu to permit Ambode contest for and complete his second tenure. All pleas fell on deaf ears as Babajide Sanwo Olu was anointed to replace Ambode. Now Tinubu needs the support of the Progressive Governors forum for his presidential ambition. Could this be pay back time? One wonders. A thread:
This is heartbreaking. Please try to put your attention into something you love doing. Try not to think too much about it. Believe in your heart that God will send someone better to you. Relax and know that karma got your back. Sorry dear.
Please i have a question, the way i am seeing EFCC and ICPC confiscating corrupt politicians and government workers assets, what if ones money is not from stealing public funds?
I am still young and have this big dream of becoming rich, and i know with government job you will never be rich( i mean rich).
So what if i start business and it become successful such that i have assets everywhere, will EFCC still seize those assets thinking i got them by stealing public funds, or what did Nigerian law says?
I will advise you to be smart about it. Almost every public servant has a side business but only those that are caught are labeled criminals. Legally, public servants are only permitted to be engaged in livestock businesses in addition to their government jobs. So, to do any other business asides livestock, you have to find a way to ensure your name is not involved in it, else, you are liable to a criminal offense if caught.
A lot of ignorant folks here. Someone came to Abuja some time ago and saw his landlord in the streets begging for alms. Most of those beggars are landlords. It’s a big business and there is usually a chain of authority that coordinates them.
helinues: Even the commentators made mentioned of City's shots on targets against Leeds as the highest so far this season.
Arsenal had 11 while city Had 15. How many shots on targets do you think they can have to have scored 7 goals
Check your records. Arsenal’s 11 shots on target in the first half is the most of the first half of any EPL match since 2003 when Opta started keeping the records.
