I have witnessed Dangote trucks burnt to ashes many occasions in Kogi state. Why has he not moved his investments from there? Most people in this forum are kids. Whatever the reasons for Dangote not wanting to invest in Igboland for now! Am sure it doesn't have anything to do with this case cos it everywhere. People should save us the crap they spew here

We are still on the same track. Anything they can do to revive that company will be highly acceptable.

Politics / Re: The Ebonyi State You May Not Have Known by duke4ever: 6:27pm On Dec 03, 2013
achi4u: Point noted.
But could you please expatiate more on the issue of "Ebonyians should open their minds"-(ur words),because the last time I checked many none indigenes hold so many position in Ebonyi state.

Our commissioner for commerce and industry Dr. Ifeanyi Ike is from Adazi in Anambra state and he is performing well. You hadly know he's not from the state.
One of our former house member Dr. Abia Onyeike is also from another state.
So,how do you want us to open our minds again?
There's no discrimination here in Ebonyi state in all levels, once you can deliver to any of the position you are needed the government will not hesitate to employ you.

With those examples I cited above can any of our sister state do the same to none indigent? ...

We don't have time for tribalism here that's why many ppl sees us as a different ppl from igbo stock.
We are still the poorest state in the s.east that's why we need every hand to build up.
I don't want us to over flog this issue. My point is clear. That Nigercem must not GO AND DIE. Btw, Ebonyi is not poor mind you. You need to come off this old mentality nwanne. Though much needs to be done but the state of today can still hold its own anywhere.

U see.
We really had to let go of all the mistakes our fathers committed.
More anambra ppl shd learn to be like u and more ebonyi peepz shd let go of grudges that will not benefit them, in fact, grudges that will make them loose opportunities.
I just hope they will.
Politics / Re: The Ebonyi State You May Not Have Known by duke4ever: 7:57am On Dec 03, 2013
achi4u: ^^
You still didn't get me right Ngozi &co.First, instead of ibeto group going to the owners of the Nigercem cement company which is owned by the 5 S.eastern states he went and deal with 5 local chiefs comprising the 5 communities where the said company was situated.
And Elechi hate such gesture,he wanted the man come out clean and do his business.
Secondly, the area where you mentioned of some Ebonyians absconding from paying their hospital bills is very big lie...and remember it can happen to anywhere which means no tribe, ppl, village or community is indispensable.

Again, many of ur contributions here is like u are trying to turn this thread into Anambra vs Ebonyi which is not good IMO.

I leaved all my youthful years in Anambra and Nnewi as my base.Anambra to me is my second home in-respective of what I went through as an Ebonyi boy in d hands of my Anambra brothers. Although, the situation is fast fading away.
You may never know hw it feels to be looked down simply because you are from a certain state or community.

Elechi 's government is like two adage sword ...the state capital is struggling on their own while his focuses his developmental stride on inner communities, those inner roads plus so many bridges no be beans, but we in the capital still need our fresh air.lol

The most painful thing Elechi administration did to an to the entire Ebonyi youth was the disbandment of "Ebonyi angels football club " which needs some push to enter nigeria premier league.
The second one was the restriction of okada /motorcycles from plying the dual carriage roads as all the roads here are all double lane.
In fact, many of his decisions are too scary to the common man.
But all in all his trying.

Note :my comments on ibeto/Nnewi ppl is just a joke as someone has rightful said.
Afterall, amakam ife na Ozubulu bu onye nzuzu na Nnewi gringrin

*no be me tok am ohcheesy
there you go again dangling. I said I want believe you know little about that deal. Be that as it may, let Ebonyians should open their minds. The time has gone past. Let the new age take charge. I want to see that NigerCem back on. Am already counting the enormous benefits to the locals and Igboland at large.

achi4u was not having fun, he meant everything about it.
I had asked my mum about that ibeto thing and she told me exactly the same thing achi4u said.
And my mum is not from ebonyi.
She told me that Ebonyi ppl are somewhat put off by the anambra superiority attitude.
Ha tara psychological afufu those days na onu ndi anambra.
.
In any case, I really want to understand that concept of back door and how sb can get in thru the front door OR which one is exactly the d front door.
My own is that if Elechi is insecure, his own govt should take it up or his indigenes shd be empowered to establish cement plants.
If not, any Igbo investor shd be allowed to do the job and be appropriately taxed.
There is no point dwelling on what happened when lizards were still in ones and twos.
point! That's in the past. Remember I said earlier that I graduated from EBSU. I know these Two very well. Ebonyians making it big and seeking greener pasture in Anambra are too numerous that you begin to wonder if it's 1 in every 3 persons here. Go to Osha, Awka, Ihialla, even Ibeto's place Nnewi. Forget that superiority syndrome of a thing not every Anambraian think that way. I for one was raised not to look down on people regardless of background, tribe or whatever. Am from Nnewi too but I defend EbonyI anytime any day. I love them so much. They are contented without the do or die spirit of money in Anambra, Imo etc

PhenomenonVFX: ^^achi4u was just adding humour to the gist.
What he really wants to say is that Ibeto didnt go about it the right way. At least that is what I got from that comment.
Ignore the other parts he was just trying to spice up the gist. Makes d thread lively. wink
So is the idea dead and buried? Can't something be done? I hate it when no Igbo man makes it in forbe's list of rich men and yet we claim ingenuity. Why can't we support our own. Dangote grew with the support of his kinsmen and tribe before others followed suit, like Yorubas. How can we support that entrepreneur called Ibeto?
Politics / Re: The Ebonyi State You May Not Have Known by duke4ever: 8:03pm On Dec 02, 2013
achi4u: Ngozi, ibeto wanted to enter the cement biz from the back door.
Let him come out clean and do business. simple.
If he succeeded in such a dirty deals now he will go and tell his 'umunna' in Otolo Nnewi that Ebonyians are an easy -going bush ppl.lol

Elechi na old soldier grin
I've always respected you Achi, but this comment of yours is quite childish. You talked about dirty deals which you didn't spell out well and same you talked about going to brag with his Otolo Nnewi Umunna. Pls read what you wrote again. Dangote could reach a deal to establish such a factory in Ogun being from another ethnic group. Even foreigners are doing same. Why are we our own enemies? Why can't Obeto be allowed to run a cement factory there and create jobs while being taxed as well? Do you know how much Enugu is benefiting from Innoson. If Obeto brags in Otolo and so what? Would you rather be happy to see him going to Plateau to establish that instead of Alaigbo? I can't fathom any meaningful thing from what you wrote. I will just assume you don't know jack about this issue cos what you wrote is unintelligent.
