You have big and better plans, what is then stopping you from leading the line by starting up this your own movement, growing it from ground to up? Kanu started IPOB from just few less than 10 members.

Until not long ago, no one knew Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB, and before IPOB came up, MASSOB was in existence, yet that never deterred Kanu when he felt MASSOB had derailed, from starting up his own movement, puting himself and his entire life on the line.

We seem to have many Igbos on the internet who seem to think they have better ideas on how to go about achieving Biafra, yet we don't have any of these people on ground building up a movement centred around these their supposedly better ideas.

If you have better plans and dreams, and you set out time and effort to preach it, and build consensus, time will tell, and Biafrans would soon gravitate towards your own dreams and methods . Kanu dreams proved greater than those Of Uwazuruike, and so Uwazuruike methods died a natural death, while Kanu dreams replaced it.

I'm just tired of people staying in their comfort zones to offer ideas, without puting themselves on the line, to grow and nurture those ideas, but are instead interested in rubbishing others who put themselves on the line, to grow their own ideas.

In summary, he should go test his little experiments in his state that has a lot of issues, maybe sack his own governor first... and fight the ingrained discrimination of other igbos in his own state (non-indigenes were sacked from civil service), imo state(mbaise's refusal of anambra bishop) and others i wont mention here. There is no real unity, even catholic versus other denominations fight divides us. In the cases of election boycott you cited, the boycott seem to have been carried out by opposition parties and not by secessionist groups, don't you think that might make a difference in Biafra's case.

Nigerian opposition parties under the UPGA alliance also had done an election boycott in the 2nd republic elections that proved largely ineffective as NNA under Akintola and Balewa still had their way.


Are you also aware that elected public office holders take a legal oath upon swearing in to preserve Nigerian unity at all cost.

Nnamdi KANU is too young and inexperienced to answer an Igbo leader. He is a separatist IPOB leader. I don't think anybody arrogated the Igbo leadership to Nnamdi KANU. Igbos are not led by one person but by all people and that's what I think makes Kanu to demand for a referendum.
Nobody should set out to diminish Nnamdi KANU, while I think that the separatist agitation should be managed well to avoid serious problem, nobody should set out to diminish Kanu.

Op I am kind of disappointed in you , you claim to be a staunch Catholic but you are sounding like the opposite. The fact that this is happening to you does not mean you should generalise it, there are thousands of catholic priest in Nigeria alone and few of them expecially those based in the rural area could be over zealous with their Catholic faith and this is something you should know as some one who grew up in Catholic Church. My point is that you should limit your grievances as a problem with a particular parish or priest rather than making it sound like it's a general thing . And bringing this issue here wasn't necessary except you had intended for people to come abash the Catholic church.
