All the major Airlines worldwide are cutting down on orders for new planes because of rising crude prices and unprofitable routes. I remember what Richard Brandson said about doing business in Nigeria after Virgin Nigeria failed. The cost of running an airline business profitably in Nigeria is just too high. This national carrier business is not just profitable. Even the best domestic airlines in Nigeria can't repay the bank loans they used to acquire all their new airplanes, just like Arik. This Aviation minister and her boyfriend president are just trying to score cheap political points so after they leave office and the national carrier crumbles, they will beat their chests and say at least they set up a national carrier. I pity whoever sinks his money into this kind of rubbish. |
MightyThor: As the local saying goes "na small sh*t dey spoil nyash"Which is hw revolutions start. Remember how d russian civil war and then revolution started? I only pray Gringory Rasputin and patience Jonathan occupy d same page in our history books. |
Most of the tanks were procured from second hand shops in downtown shanghai. How can u b even posing with scuba diving gear or parachute that some 16yr old's in some countries can use. Later they'll award 1 billion naira contract to buy 10 parachutes, height of stupidity |
mekaboy: They have given him the money he went to beg, so he has to rush back home before they change their mind.LMAO! Classic! |
kushe: @NatashaFirstly, its very stupid to come here and generalize every Nigerian graduate as 'lazy'. This is a simple case of an employer making a promise and reneging on his promise while expecting his 'bonded' employer to do same. That's just ridiculous. Infact this is a plus to Nigerian graduates, they're not as stupid as the ones in your Utopia or in Natasha's imaginary world. If the employer is not 'civilised' enough to fufil his own contract, the OP should ignore the rubbish bond. |
natasha: I will tell you that jobs are hard to come by, so also is keeping a job. There isnt an easy job. Even oil/banking/political jobs have alot of stress attached to it. If you are complaining that you work in the rain and sun (yet you hv a guaranteed income montgly irrespectively of your target met) i am sorry to say this; you are LAZY. Very lazy and a typical epitome of the nigerian graduate who feels the world owes them the right to a xushy, well paying stress free job.Crap, from top to bottom absolute crap. |
Afam4eva: I remember the when Amaechi was scolded by Patience because he wanted to demolish Okrika water side and i remember Jonathan called his wife to order. He handled that incident very well and that increased the relationship between Amaechi and Jonathan. I doubt if that was the major cause of the rift though it may have contributed. The president called his wife to order? See this joker. The president will always side wit his wife anyhow. I think d power brokers in d SS are just scared that the opposition, or even the PDP, may adopt amaechi as an alternative to jonathan in 2015 as they're both from the south-south. Amaechi has supposedly 'performed' (in d Nigerian context) as a governor compared to Jonathan's constant fumbling. If amaechi remains in the PDP and gains d sympathy of d PDP governors from d north, he may even beat d president to the PDP ticket in 2015, as the PDP governors have already shown their disdain for d president with the NGF elections. Even if he doesn't get d PDP ticket, he's very good friends with d opposition, they may adopt him too. Its a win-win for amaechi. |
2mch: Ibo people have entered one chance today. This is more like the ibo beauty I see everyday. Katy Onwu, epitome of ibo beauty. Why are all of you shouting conspiracy? Are you trying to deny she is not ibo? Ibo wonderDis comment is just ridiculous mhen, ridiculously funny!:d |

BabaAlabi: This is good news.....female students would be at home long enough for us to help keep them busy...ashawo price will reduce due to competition from fellow girls...ASUU thums upThis is just fuckin hilarious! Nd also very true ![]() |
I don't believe the article says anything about the hackers sexual orientation so the title is quiet misleading. The title of the thread should be 'Anti-homophobia or Gay rights activist Hacks Nigerian Government's Website over Antigay Law'. Its possible to be sympathetic to their cause and not be gay. Whoever started this thread should correct it. |
Deiok: Is it compulsory that everyone should get rich or successful at a very young age?. take Steve job and mark zukerburg, as an example they are both successful but at a different age in life. Not quiet true. Jobs was one of Bill Gates greatest competitors in the 80's when apple first came on board. The company and jobs went through hard times in the 90's but rebounded early last decade, when you were born ![]() |
Okija_juju: Lol!i have absolutely no idea wot u talking bout |
Security risk or not, in a truly civilized society, nobody wakes up one morning and bans this or that. Its ludicrous! As long as its not in the state or federal statutes, nobody has a right to prevent me from doing whatever i want. Wonder why someone should spend an arm and a leg on getting a bike and then have one drunken idiot in black uniform harass him on the road while going about my truly 'legal' daily job just because of what one drunken, corrupt governor woke up one morning and uttered. Its high time people were made aware of their rights in this country. Its bad enough that the politicians steal all our money and render people to menial jobs like okada riding. To then take away what remains of us that's just criminal. I say sue the governors Ass! |
onye ego: I still don't understand how a man will be attracted to a follow man to the point of been intimate, its just absurd. Please define natural order. Have you been able to scientifically establish, personally or quoting from any research, if homosexuality is natural or a lifestyle choice? Does your own definition or concept of natural order mean anything that disgusts or irritates you or anything you don't understand? Comments like this make me ashamed of the color of my skin, ignorance is just so pervasive in our part of the world. God help us! |
I believe homosexuality is a part of natural human evolution. I think the OP's opinion about the effect of homosexuality on family is blinded by her homophobia. From the OP's tone, she has cynically suggested that millions of homosexuals world over are just homosexuals by choice and prefer same-sex partners to normal heterosexual partners. Has the OP met any homosexual person before? Are you totally sure that sexual orientation is by choice and not natural? I believe the OP's opinion about homosexuality and family will change when she answers these questions. From a pragmatic perspective, isn't homosexuality even helping to curb excessive population growth and provide families for abandoned children, products of heterosexual relationships, through adoption? I'd really like to see who conducted the research the OP quoted in her write-up. Its just our usual third world mentality at work here. We're always slow to catch-on in almost everything. What the white man has seen sitting down, we here on the dark continent cannot see even while at the peak of our jungle trees. As usual just give us a couple of decades, maybe two or more, and we'll catch on. |
And if we insult him shey they want to kill us ni |
Depends. If its something like infedility, where regaining lost trust is almost impossible, or violent or abusive spouces, divorce might be the solution. But where people are getting divorced for such lousy reasons as "the connection isn't there again" or "we've just grown apart" and all d other stupid reasons my generation has come up with, then divorce is far from being the only answer. |

repogirl: You obviously dnt know how intelligent we yorubas are when it comes to money matters. They show respect to d rich even if they don't like the person to further their own agenda. Haven't u seen how yoruba musicians hail people of influence in their music so dat they get sprayed with money? So in aboki's mind he's feeling like a whole governor is begging for a pic with him whereas governor is like he has seen sponsor for one of his projects. That's not even d point. It was more of two public personalities bantering and joking Wit demselves, not about yoruba or hausa pple doin woteva. minimum wagers like d OP won't undastand. Dats y d tin shacked him so much, he came here to open a thread. |
